SPL - Rangers sign midfielder Celik
Rangers have signed out-of-contract Swedish midfielder Mervan Celik on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
The former Swedish U21 international was a free agent after leaving GAIS of Gothenburg.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who can play on either flank, will wear the number 24 shirt vacated by Madjid Bougherra.
He has not received international clearance in time to face Aberdeen in the SPL on Saturday.
Meanwhile, McCoist says he is unaware of a bid from West Ham for striker Nikica Jelavic and claims the reported figure of £6million would not meet Rangers' valuation.
He said: "They have not made an official bid. The reported amount would not be enough to meet the demands of the owner.
"£6million is not nearly enough."
