Premier League - Mancini: Nasri could sign on Monday
Nasri made an unexpected start for Arsenal in their 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday and it was reported that negotiations to take the France international to the Etihad Stadium had stalled.
However, Mancini says he is optimistic that Nasri will be signing for City in a deal that is reported to be worth in the region of £22 million.
When asked if Nasri could be a Manchester City player inside 24 hours, Mancini told Sky Sports: "Maybe.
"I don't know what's the problem. I hope this week we can have Nasri, but don't know when. We have 10 days to the end (of the transfer window)."
Mancini was then asked if Nasri would be the final player to arrive at City and replied: "I hope not."
Arsene Wenger earlier said the France international could yet stay at Arsenal as his potential move has become more uncertain.
"He is happy here. There is no departure of Nasri at the moment," Wenger told French media outlet TF1. "Maybe one day, but it's far, far, far from being done."
