Ligue 1 - Confusion as PSG deny shake-up
Paris Saint-Germain's new owners have denied reports that they are looking to replace the chairman and head coach, casting doubt on Leonardo's proposed move to the club.
Qatar Sports Investments bought a majority of the French club’s stock and were reported to be lining up Internazionale’s Brazilian boss Leonardo as a sporting director, encompassing a dual coaching and scouting capacity.
But QSI moved to back the existing management team of chairman Robin Leproux and coach Antoine Kombouare, leaving Leonardo and Inter in limbo.
"We are very happy to be here. QSI is the new owner and I am the new boss at the club but the management will remain the same,” QSI chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi said.
"Robin Leproux will be the chairman, Antoine Kombouare will keep his position as coach."
Inter chairman Massimo Moratti has also hinted that Leonardo may stay at the club if his move does not materialise and the Nerazzurri fail to find a replacement.
