France fullback Maxime Medard will miss Saturday's Six Nations clash with England at Twickenham through injury and will be replaced by Clement Poitrenaud.
"Maxime is suffering from discomfort in the hamstring of his left leg. The doctor preferred not to take risks," French press officer Lionel Rossigneux told reporters.
"Clement Poitrenaud will start at fullback and Alexis Palisson has been called up into the group of 23."
In-form Medard, who had been switched to fullback from the wing for the game, had scans on Tuesday and Thursday but failed a fitness test.
