Bundesliga - Kuyt keen on Hamburg as Bruma stays on
Netherlands forward Kuyt, 31, has been linked with the Bundesliga side for several months, with reports saying a clause in his contract allows him to move for as little as £1 million as it enters its final year.
"Hamburg is an option," Kuyt was quoted as saying by various Hamburg media outlets. "I am proud that a big club like that is interested in me.
"My Dutch team-mates who have played at Hamburg had some great times there. They adored the city and the club.
"But there are other options for me," the former Feyenoord forward added, without specifying who else was in the running.
Kuyt has also been quoted as saying he could stay with Liverpool dependent on discussions with their next manager.
Hamburg Sporting director Frank Arnsesen, a Dane with a long history of working with Dutch players, had previously gone on record saying he was interested in Kuyt.
Another Dutchman, 20-year-old utility defender Bruma, will definitely be at Hamburg next season.
After scoring twice in 22 Bundesliga appearances, the versatile international will spend a second year at the club.
"Jeffrey will stay with us for next season," Arnesen said.
"He has developed in recent times and has shown his ability to adapt to different positions."
