World Football - Stretcher bearer slips on injured player's face

Getting injured during a match is every footballer's worst nightmare - but for Desportivo Brasil's Gladstony that was only the start of his humiliation.
The 17-year-old picked up a bad knock after a foul by Louis Phillipe in a Sao Paulo Youth Cup match against Flamengo, a critical clash in one of South America's biggest U20 football competitions.
Help from the sidelines was called, but instead of whisking the player off the pitch for treatment a clueless stretcher bearer first dropped Gladstony, then toppled back and accidentally sat on the player's face.
The stretcher was then dropped again before the referee took pity on all involved to explain to the 'helper' how to best to carry the player from the field.
And as if that weren't bad enough, Gladstony's side went on to lose the match in a penalty shoot-out to go out of the tournament.
