Shelton Martis is back in contention for a place in the Doncaster defence when Dean Saunders' npower Championship strugglers travel to Crystal Palace.

Martis has impressed on his return from a long-term groin problem over the past month, but the centre-back missed the back-to-back defeats against Millwall and Southampton with hamstring and calf problems.

Brian Stock's recovery from a groin injury has been checked by a virus just as the midfielder was stepping up his return to training.

Kyle Bennett featured from the bench at the weekend having missed the Millwall encounter last midweek with an ongoing toe injury, along with George Friend, who was named in the matchday squad for the first time since damaging knee ligaments in January.

Midfielder Martin Woods remains around a week away from action with a knee complaint, while full-back Tommy Spurr is out for the season having undergone surgery on his broken hand.

Doncaster are winless in their last five games but can move to within two points of safety with victory at Selhurst Park.
