Osano chasing progress

AFC Wimbledon's latest signing Curtis Osano says that progression was the reason he made the move from Luton Town.

The 25-year-old Kenyan right back suffered play-off heartbreak as Luton lost 2-1 to York City at Wembley in the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off final and decided he would not renew his contract.

He told the club website: "I played a full part for Luton and to lose in the play-off final at Wembley was heartbreaking. I enjoyed it at Luton and I learned a lot from both Gary Brabin and Paul Buckle, the two managers during my time there.

"There was 30,000 fans there who came to support us and I think when we came off the pitch they knew that we had given our all.

"I think they will understand why I have left. It is not a case of me jumping ship, it is because I want to progress."

"Once I got my medical done I just wanted to sign and the chance to play in the Football League at a place like this was too good to turn down."
