Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Liverpool

Harry Redknapp: "They all showed great character but to come back again is just amazing. I’ve had teams†in the past when you go behind and you might as well go home. With this team we come back, we keep going, there are goals, we are exciting and we are never out of a game.†I think we have the ability to always create chances, that’s for sure. Aaron (Lennon)'s back firing, he’s sharp again and he’s important. Overall I’m delighted with the performance. They started well, they were dangerous, I thought it was a fantastic game and they certainly played their part Liverpool, they were always a threat."

Roy Hodgson: "To lose it in injury time in the way we did of course is very hard to take. I’m very disappointed for the players, very disappointed that we didn’t go away from here with at least one point which would have been something we could have been proud of. Unfortunately it’s a defeat and defeats hit you very hard. There is no doubt about it, we missed some very good chances today. We played some good football to get ourselves in that position. But Tottenham are a very good, dangerous team and they also create chances."

Newcastle United 1-1 Chelsea

Chris Hughton: "I think a draw was the right result. I always knew we would get a reaction to last week because of the quality and character in the team. We wanted a response to the poor result at Bolton and that’s what we got. We were up against a top class team who wanted to bounce back and the game was every bit as tough as we thought. There is no bigger test than Chelsea after we lost our two centre-halves last week. There are times when we will be tested and we’ve got to work around what we’ve got."

Carlo Ancelotti: "We are not happy. Happy for the performance – we didn’t start well and conceded a goal too easily. The reaction was good. The end of first half and second half was good. We had total control of the game but to win we needed to convert our chances. We have to keep going, stay focused and try to win. But at the moment we’re not able to convert our chances. We played good football. Sometimes we’re unlucky and sometimes we need to focus more on our shooting. It’s important to respond. It’s an opportunity to show our character and personality. It’s a motivation to do better. I’m disappointed with the last four games. To score one goal away is just not enough."
