Galimzyanov wins in Belgium

Kutusha rider Denis Galimzyanov claimed victory on stage two of the Driedaagse De Panne in Koksijde, Belgium.

The 24-year-old Russian edged HTC-Highroad’s John Degenkolb into second place after a tight field sprint finish tothe 219km stage, with Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale) completing the podium.

The result saw Lieuwe Westra (Vacansoleil-DCM) move into the overall lead of the three-day tour, as Omega Pharma-Lotto’s overnight leader Andre Greipel finished a full five minutes behind Galimzyanov and plummeted down the general classification.
