Lennon seeking consistency

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has called for consistency from his players as they prepare to host Atletico Madrid in the Europa League.

Lennon believes the Hoops produced one of their best efforts of the season so far when they romped to a 5-0 win over St Mirren at the weekend.

The emphatic victory helped Celtic haul themselves back into contention in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title race, with Rangers' lead at the summit slashed from 12 points to just four in the space of nine days.

Lennon said: "I'm delighted with the players and with the character they have shown.

"There were signs that a few individuals were coming back to their best and it all came together on Saturday. We are just looking for more consistency now.

"I believe we have a really good crop of players who are exciting to watch at times and they can mix it a little bit as well. They are going to have to show all that in this game as well."
