THW Kiel claimed the European Champions League title in handball after a 36-34 win over Barcelona.
In their fifth EHF Champions League final the Germans managed to defeat a Spanish team for the first time to claim their second European title in four years.
They came from 20-17 down at half-time and had the performance of goalkeeper Thierry Omeyer to thank for after he made 15 key saves.
Tournament top scorer Filip Jicha (pictured) hit the back of the net 11 times, including the final goal to seal the narrow win.
The Kiel poacher finishes this season with 119 goals.
