Tom Daley has struggled since a growth spurt added six inches to his height two years ago. His form seems to be returning and this is his first opportunity to try to take a gold medal away from the Chinese. He and Peter Waterfield have a great rapport but know a medal of any colour would be a tremendous result.
Main rivals: China and Germany
Diving - Men's Synchronised 10m Platform - Final - 15:00
BIG NAMES IN ACTION
Let's not pretend otherwise - all eyes will be on Zara Phillips as the team eventing enters the cross-country stage in Greenwich. However, it is William Fox-Pitt and Mary King who represent Britain's best chance of an individual three-day event medal.
Equestrian - Cross-Country (Team and Individual Eventing) - 12:30
No Olympic sport exhibits the wonder of the human body like gymnastics - a beguiling mix of strength, poise and agility. The men's team competition looks to be a straight shoot-out between the USA and China. As 20/1 fourth favourites, Great Britain stand a puncher's chance of getting on to the podium.
Gymnastics - Men's Team Final - 16:30
Furious Indian officials are demanding answers from organisers about the apparent lack of security after a woman gatecrashed India's athletes' parade at the Opening Ceremony. A woman in red and blue walked close to flag-bearing wrestler Sushil Kumar on Friday, in complete contrast to female members of the contingent who were wearing yellow saris and blue blazers. The woman's identity was originally a mystery, but subsequent investigation has revealed that she was one of the thousands-strong volunteer cast who had managed to stay in the stadium and join the Indian athletes.
THE LONDON 2012 VIBE
Cheery: We've got some medals, and we're just settling into this Olympic thing. Despite the rain, the atmosphere at the Olympic Park on Sunday was relentlessly positive. Maybe this thing really was worth the £9 billion.
The Scotsman illustrates its story of soldiers filling gymnastics seats with a superb photo.
LONDON WEATHER FORECAST
A sunny start, getting gradually gloomier throughout the day with some rain in the evening. Top temperature 20°.
We've got comprehensive coverage of all the action throughout London 2012 - Olympic Games LIVE.
I will be reporting live from diving and gymnastics with frequent bursts of nonsense on Twitter. On Sunday I went to the swimming and saw Team USA slam dunk all over France in the basketball.
