Choose ‘em or lose ‘em: Tevez time

A certain diminutive Argentine meets his
former club once again this weekend and with history proving he does rather well against them, why not
jump on the Carlos Tevez train?

And it's a double gameweek for Aston Villa
once again, so it's time to stock up on their players. Less so struggling Hull
City, who also play twice over the next seven days.

GOALKEEPERS

Choose 'em: Craig
Gordon (6.56)
looks a decent buy in between the sticks with Sunderland
hosting Burnley, who are surely incapable of winning away from home two weeks
on the trot. Joe Hart (10.64) returns to shore up Birmingham's
defence against struggling Hull after a week on the sidelines while Brad
Freidel (10.13)
remains reasonably priced with games against bottom two
clubs Portsmouth and Hull.

Lose 'em:
Better get rid of Shay Given (9.95) and Edwin van der Sar (14.15)
with the Manchester derby at Eastlands promising goals for both sides, while Heurelho
Gomes (14.00)
is too expensive to keep with a date with Chelsea's front
line on the horizon.

DEFENDERS

Choose 'em: Ashley
Cole
(11.46) is "100 per cent fit" but is unlikely to
start in Chelsea's clash with Spurs - why not go for Branislav Ivanovic
(10.01)
considering the big Serb's goal threat from set pieces? And any one
of Villa's back four of Carlos Cuellar (11.48), James Collins (12.39),
Richard Dunne (10.62) and Stephen Warnock (10.24)
are guaranteed points
earners, if a tad expensive.

Lose 'em: Chris
Samba
(11.68) is doubtful for Blackburn and Everton's John
Heitinga
(9.12) faces a late fitness test - neither are worth the
risk. And Ledley King (10.03) is such a crock he is unlikely to play a
second game in the space of four days, so jettison the Spurs skipper now
despite his sterling performance against Arsenal in midweek. Oh, and Gary
Neville (8.80)
is a liability.

MIDFIELDERS

Choose 'em: James
Milner (13.65)
has scored in both previous meetings against Portsmouth this
season and with a second game against Hull during the week, the England man is
worth his hefty price tag. Of the Villa midfielders, Stiliyan Petrov (7.83)
is the cheapest or if you fancy something different you could do worse than
Wolves' David Edwards (6.21), who is set to play against a Fulham
side whose minds are clearly elsewhere. And if you need a cheap filler, go for
Blackburn's Steven N'Zonzi (2.99) for the game against Everton.

Lose 'em: If
you haven't already lost patience with Theo Walcott (9.78) perhaps now
would be the time to offload him. Likewise Alberto Aquilani (7.72) whose
decent performance last time out has seen his value rise a little too high for
what he can offer.

FORWARDS

Choose 'em:
Four goals in four matches against his former club say Carlos Tevez (24.54)
is going to do it again against United - don't be put off by his price tag and make him your marquee player this week. Louis Saha (10.02)
has scored four goals in his last five matches against Blackburn, and netted
twice in Everton's 3-0 home victory against them earlier this season, so why
not give him a go? John Carew (8.47) has two games to shine while Dirk
Kuyt (10.51)
will be expected to step up to the plate in the absence of
Fernando Torres.

Lose 'em: Wayne
Rooney (21.30)
has scored nine goals past City goalkeeper Given, but with
no guarantee he will play at Eastlands, it's best to leave him out again this
week. Fulham's Bobby Zamora (10.14) has netted 19 goals this
season, and has scored in each of his last three league matches against
promoted clubs, but a niggling Achilles problem may see him rested against
Wolves.
