Didier Drogba has scored 13 goals in 14 appearances against Arsenal in all competitions. The Ivory Coast striker has hit eight goals against Arsenal in the Premier League, joint-most against any other side along with West Brom.

So, it's just as well for the Gunners that he is suspended for this weekend's London derby at Stamford Bridge, then.

Drogba serves the second game of his three-match ban this weekend following his straight red card against QPR last Sunday.

Chelsea also have reserve goalkeeper Ross Turnbull suspended after he was sent off in the midweek Carling Cup win over Everton, who have Royston Drenthe banned for receiving a red card in the same match.

However, Andre Villas-Boas can once again call upon the services of striker Fernando Torres, who returns from his own suspension this weekend.

For Arsenal, they have centre-back Thomas Vermaelen fit again, but midfielder Yossi Benayoun is not available under the conditions of his loan from Chelsea.

West Brom will be without striker Shane Long until December with a knee injury sustained in his bruising 20-minute cameo against Aston Villa.

Villa will have Long's main aggressor, Alan Hutton, available after the Scotland full-back was himself substituted before half-time in that Midlands derby. However, the club have suspended midfielder Barry Bannan indefinitely following his arrest in the wake of a motoring accident.
