Manchester City's Champions League
showdown with Tottenham on Tuesday meant they were the only two teams on a
double-gamer last week, and The Fantasist got involved.

Three City players and four from
Spurs were deployed by yours truly to varying degrees of success although
bizarrely, considering they took one point from the six available to them, it
was the London quartet which came out best.

Rafael van der Vaart led the way with 21.5 points, not
bad considering he didn't score in either match, although it cost almost as
much to sign him. Luka Modric brought in a reasonable 12, but Aaron
Lennon starting Saturday's match against Blackpool greatly hampered his return,
while Jermain Defoe's goal against the Tangerines did
him the world of good.

Gareth Bale looked on course to bring home the
bacon in that match at White Hart Lane before Charlie Adam decided on an
impromptu rearranging of the Welshman's ankle. The Blackpool captain escaped a
costly red though, and was fortunate enough to cover over his missed penalty
with a converted one moments later thanks to Heurelho Gomes doing what he does
best/worst.

As for City, Mario Balotelli played all of nine minutes of a
potential 180 but still managed to bring in a negative score, Adam Johnson did not fare much better and Aleksandr Kolarov's score would have been higher
were it not for him being rested ahead of the FA Cup final.

In the Fantasist Superleague, there
are still four players in the top 50 of the entire game, so well done guys. Can
Boss FC or A new king is born
~RAJAGOBAL
sneak in there in the final two games of the season? Will Numero Uno
crack the top 10? This really is squeaky bum time!
