Daily Dime: Zack Greinke and a house of Cards

Picked the wrong day to fade Prince Fielder, I guess. Even my Donaldson-led lineups fell before him. Let's try to get it back today, together. As always, please remember to check the pregame weather reports and scan the MLB lineups as they're released. Now let's get to it...

[Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football is back: Sign up for a league today!]

Kolten Wong, 2B, vs. Ari (Collmenter), $3300 at FanDuel: Yup, going back to Wong again. He's slashing .331/.393/.500 against RHPs, and Wednesday's right-hander isn't exactly the best in the business.

Jhonny Peralta, SS, vs. Ari (Collmenter), $3300: Peralta is working on a mini-streak of three straight two-hit games, and he homered on Monday. He's slashing .308/.370/.506 for the year, hitting in the heart of the order. I'm going to the three-Cardinals formation on Wednesday, rolling with Wong, Holliday and Peralta ... because Collmenter.

Jose Abreu, 1B, at Tor (Estrada), $3200: It almost feels as if Abreu has started slow, but he's actually on pace for 30 homers and 102 RBIs. We just haven't seen a binge-game yet, Fielder-style. But it's coming — if not on Wednesday, then soon. I really like him here at a friendly price, facing a flyball/homer-friendly pitcher.

Rajai Davis, OF, at Oak (Kazmir), $3100: Well, I won't try to tell you that Davis is feasting at the plate lately, but he's been OK on the bases, swiping three bags in his last five starts. He's really hit Kazmir well in the past, going 10-for-21 with three doubles, a triple and a homer.

Noah Syndergaard, P, vs. Phi (O'Sullivan), $7700

: Another day, another well-priced Mets starter. I'm not actually as big a Syndergaardist as some around here, but this is really a nice value on a talented pitcher with strikeout upside, facing a crummy team. We should get something like six innings and 5-6 Ks (possibly more), with a very good chance at a W.

Zack Greinke, P, vs. Atl (Wood), $9900: Greinke has been just obscenely good so far this season, posting a WHIP of 0.87 and never allowing more than three runs in any of his nine starts. His team is a huge favorite in this tilt (-205); our odds of picking up a win seem uncommonly good. Atlanta has scored only eight runs over the past five games, so it's not as if the lineup is mashing.

Howie Kendrick, 2B, vs. Atl (Wood), $2900: To this point, Alex Wood has not quite been the 2014 version of himself. He hasn't really been rocked in any start, but he hasn't spun any gems, either. His WHIP sits at 1.53 after 47 frames, and Ks have not been plentiful — his K/9 has dipped to 6.1 from 8.9. Kendrick is relatively cheap on Wednesday, he's having an excellent season (.298/.358/.450, 17 XBH) and he's reached base five times in his last two games.

Colby Rasmus, OF, at Bal (Jimenez), $3200 : Ubaldo has been a bit more user-friendly after his stellar April, and Rasmus has a terrific history against him: 10-for-27, 5 doubles, triple, HR. (Very small sample, I realize.) I'm prepared to use a few other Houston LHBs on Wednesday, including Valbuena and Preston Tucker.

Adam Lind, 1B, vs. SF (Vogelsong), $2500: Left-handed hitters are 21-for-70 against Vogelsong this year with eight homers, 10 walks and 10 Ks. Thus, Lind would seem to be a strong play at an excellent price, even though he's had a lousy month of May (.183 AVG). Or you could just start Fielder at $4400 and collect another two or three bombs.

Jason Castro, C, at Bal (Jimenez), $2400: Because I always like to toss a backstop into the Dime, and I almost never spend big at this position. Castro is 7-for-22 over his last six games with two doubles and a homer, and ... well, he's awfully cheap. I struck gold starting Josh Thole in a lineup on Tuesday (3-for-4, 3 R), so I'm suddenly feeling like I have a great read on the junk-catcher market.
