The Masters is my favourite tournament to play all year!

It is a course you never tire of playing as you always feel you are learning something new. That is why experience tends to play a big role in the outcome of the event.

I feel that over the years I have developed a pretty good strategy at Augusta National. I feel that showed up in my scores this year.

I managed to shoot four rounds at par or better and considering the first two rounds I didn't have my best game with me that was very acceptable.

I did manage to get it going over the weekend and if it wasn't for a poor finish to Saturday's round then i would have challenged for the green jacket.

On Saturday, I experienced the fine line that exists at Augusta. My 3 iron approach into 15, landed on the green, settled, and after several seconds began to roll back and finished in the hazard. It can leave you saying "if only". That is the magic of the place though.

Sunday had the noise that is so distinctive to Augusta National. While playing, you could hear the roars of Louis' albatross, and the two-hole-in-ones go up. It really is like no other course in that regard.

They say that the tournament only starts on the back 9 on Sunday. For me, that was the case! I had struggled to get momentum going all week but finally I was able to string it all together and shoot 31 on the back nine to jump up into a tie for eighth.

One of my goals this year was to be more consistent in the Majors and if you don't win, another measure of your game is to try and garnish a top 10. I feel that this is a finish I can take confidence from and build on going into the next three Majors.

I've got to give my congratulations to Bubba Watson on his victory. I told my caddy early in the week that he would contend as playing with him a little this year, I could see his power and creativity being a good match up for Augusta National.

I feel that the Masters is a Major that if I keep improving, over the next 10 years, is going to give me a couple of great opportunities to slip on that sought after green jacket!
