Will Venable turns the tables on Mike Trout with great defensive catch

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout is used to robbing other players of the long ball. He found out how demoralizing being on the other side of that exchange can be Tuesday against the San Diego Padres.

[Woah, The Stew has a podcast now?! Yep, you should listen.]

In the third inning, Trout stepped to the plate against Odrisamer Despaigne. On the fourth pitch of the at-bat, Trout sent a line shot out to center fielder Will Venable. The ball kept traveling as if it was about to leave the park until Venable struck.

That's not a great feeling, is it, Trout?

With the blast, Trout could have turned in a productive game. Instead, he had a less than stellar performance. Trout finished 0 for 4, with one strikeout as the Angels lost 4-0.

Now that Trout knows how it feels, maybe he'll go easy on his next victim? That doesn't seem likely, though. Based on Trout's ability to put all other players to shame, he'll probably one-up Venable by robbing two home runs tomorrow.
