Arkansas tweaks football uniforms for 2014 season (Photos)

Arkansas became the latest school to reveal new football uniforms Monday night.

The uniforms are part of a branding tweak that also saw the release of a new logo to complement the traditional running razorback logo. The Nike "Respect the past. Represent the future." theme used at Illinois and Syracuse is also part of Arkansas' new branding. (We're going to go out on a huge limb and guess that other Nike schools with new uniforms for 2014 will also use the theme.)

Last year, Arkansas wore maroon, white and anthracite helmets. In addition to the numbers, the biggest football jersey change is the removal of the contrasting sleeves and the addition of the contrasting triangle under the armpit. (You can see a direct comparison at 1:04 of the video above.)

The new secondary logo is a front-facing Razorback head. It looks similar to the Razorbug driving straight towards you

The new uniforms are a step up from last year. Those contrasting shoulders with the jagged stripe in the middle weren't very attractive.
