Chicago Brachiosaurus will not wear Blackhawks jersey this year

Did the giant Brachiosaurus in front of the Field Museum in Chicago ditch its fandom to the Blackhawks?

No, not really. Let’s blame climate change. The big dinosaur, who had donned a Hawks jersey in prior postseason runs will not do so this year. Via DNA Info:

"The sweater we used last year took more of a 'Chicago weather' beating than we realized," a Field spokeswoman said via email. "When we took it out this year, we learned we'd have to make a new one, and unfortunately, didn't have the time to do so."

Yeah, take a look at the photo of the jersey above. It’s pretty custom, so that would probably have to take a while. Though a ripped Hawks jersey would probably look kind of cool.

A new sweater would take about 10 days, which would make it ready for Game 5 (if necessary), if it started Wednesday.

How can this be remedied?

The Field spokeswoman said the museum will garner a baby sculpture inside with a sweater, something Field has done before.

Hey, that works. Gotta support the team. Plus, there will probably be many other monuments wearing Hawks stuff over the next several days.
