Johnny Canuck returns from the wilderness to celebrate end of NHL lockout (VIDEO)

In 2010, as the Vancouver Canucks were battling the Boston Bruins for the Stanley Cup, the first of the Johnny Canuck videos began to surface, with the main character detailing his previous playoff failures and the road that led to their title shot.

The following October, Johnny Canuck laid out his plans for redemption after Vancouver's seven-game loss to the Bruins. He then talked about unfinished business before the Canucks were eliminated in the opening round last season.

As you can see, things haven't gone so well for Johnny Canuck.

So now that the NHL will return a week from today, our Canadian hero has returned to, as the video description states, "...Johnny must find strength in the past, to unlock hope for the future":

Bonus points for the psychedelic scene of Stanley Cup falling from the sky.

We're hoping that the Adam MacKay-Smith creations continue and we eventually get representations of every team that hasn't been featured in one of the Johnny Canuck videos. Maybe the Red Wings and Sharks just be merged into Sharktopus?
