Lightning grounded by Palat, Coburn and Paquette injuries

So Thursday would be considered a not so great day for the Tampa Bay Lightning so far. Newly acquired Braydon Coburn? Out 4-6 weeks with a lower body injury. Forward Ondrej Palat? Out 2-3 weeks … also with a lower body injury. Forward Cedric Paquette? Out 10-14 days with an upper body injury.

The news comes from Michelle Gingras, the hockey reporter for the Lighting. Non specific injuries on random parts of the body that count for 50 percent of said body part in hockey … DRINK!

All three played in Tampa’s previous game, March 10 against the Montreal Canadiens, though Palat left early with a lower body injury.

It’s not like this is going to hurt Tampa’s playoff chances. But top seed in the Atlantic Division and an easier first round playoff match up? That could be a problem with this news.
