NHL Columbus 2013 All-Star shirts: Own a piece of depressing history for $4.93

The 2013 NHL All-Star Game in Columbus lingered on the schedule longer than the Winter Classic during the work stoppage. Alas, it was eventually thrown on the pile of lockout casualties, along with half the season, lifetime contracts and Guy Serota’s Twitter feed.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate the 2013 mid-season classic’s legacy, such as it is:

That’s right: Columbus NHL All-Star Game swag (via Zach Ross) is still available at Dick's Sporting Goods, selling for 50 percent off, which brings the price of your commemorative T-shirts down to $4.93. You too can own a piece of hockey history for around the same price as a 4-pack of toilet paper! (Two-ply. The good stuff.)

If your morbid fascination with games that were never played runs deeper than shirts, how about a $10 Columbus All-Star Game puck available on eBay? Maybe get the Oilers' Justin Schultz to sign it, since we all know he would have been an all star before picking up the Calder and the Norris this season.

These items would make a great addition to any collection that already includes a 2013 Detroit Winter Classic sweatshirt; a 2011 Vancouver Canucks Stanley Cup champions hat; and Hamilton Predators season tickets. Or, well, your 1995 All-Star Game swag.

Or just wear it with pride to the 2015 All-Star Game, which we really, really hope is given back to the Blue Jackets.
