Sebastien Squillaci became a byword for inadequacy during his time at Arsenal but the Frenchman is a shock inclusion in our European Team of the Week.

Though Luis Suarez was surely the team's finest performer with a hat-trick in Liverpool's win over West Brom, as well as hitting the woodwork, Squillaci also enjoyed a fine weekend.

The centre-back scored for Bastia against Nice but also won nine of 10 duels and made nine clearances for the Ligue 1 side. Answering some of the critics who had written him off following an error-strewn time of things in England.

In a team lacking some of the usual star names, another former Premier League flop is at right midfield with CSKA Moscow's Zoran Tosic, once of Manchester United, also included having scored a hat-trick against FK Krasnodar.
