Winner stays on: Five new challengers

Pitchside

In our regular weekly feature, we present five goals published on our site and you then decide which is your favourite!

But there is a twist: in classic 'winner stays on' format, the goal with the most votes then defends the title the following week against four new efforts.

Andranik Teymourian has won each of the last five weeks and so his goal is entered into our Hall of Fame alongside Ronaldinho.

That means we have five fresh new challengers vying for your vote.

This week's options are:

Contender 1: Koby Arthur - Birmingham U21s v Sheffield United U21s

An absolute belter from the Birmingham kid as he nicks the ball away in midfield, goes past his man and smashes it into the net.

Contender 2: Shunsuke Nakamura - Yokohama F. Marinos vs Oita Trinita

A classic slice of Nakamura magic as the former Celtic midfielder bends one in from a free-kick from a tight angle.

Contender 3: Constantin Budescu - Astra vs Dinamo

A half-volley from about 60 yards out. That's all you need to know about this sensational hit.

Contender 4: Michael Da Costa - Montreux Sports v Forward Morges

A sumptuous volley from just outside the box saw Da Costa make our selection.

Contender 5: Kenet Arce - Liga de Loja v Deportivo Quevedo

Who says he doesn't know his Arce from his elbow? This is a superb goal from Ecuador.
