And finally, just to prove that a sportsman's life isn't all sunshine and supermodels, here's the appalling snow on the penultimate stage of the Giro d'Italia. Vincenzo Nibali churned his way through the vile conditions to a final stage win on his way to overall victory. Nobody could ever say he didn't earn it.
