Ex-England goalkeeper Dave Beasant was named on the substitutes bench for Stevenage's game against Luton - at the age of 56.
Beasant, who is best remembered for his match winning performance in the 1988 FA Cup final, was called up to the squad by manager Graham Westley for the League 2 clash.
The former Chelsea shot stopper has not featured in the Football League since he played for Brighton in 2003 but spoke of his fitness and experience in an interview last year.
