Brazilian defender smashes team-mate in chest in training

If Chinese attacker Chen Zhizhao thought he was settling in nicely to life in Brazil, a brutal tackle in training may just have made him think again.

Chen, 25, tried to move to Portugal in 2011, only for his club Nanchang Hengyuan to block the transfer - and he refused to play for them again, instead turning out for a futsal team in China.

Things looked up when he was loaned to the five-times Brazilian champions on a long-term basis in early 2012. However it took the 5'7" star several months to get used to the sometimes brutal South American championship.

When he finally got his chance in October, he impressed - and has started games since, earning a call-up to José Antonio Camacho's China squad for Asian Cup qualifying.

But he reckoned without team-mate Felipe.

Controlling a ball in training, Chen looked to earn some space down the edge of the marked grid when he was smashed by a chest-high challenge from the 6'1" centre-half.

Somehow he stayed on his feet and walked away, holding his chest and resisting the urge to complain.

Felipe initially did not seem bothered by his assault - but soon changed his mind and offered his hand to his team-mate before giving the little guy a hug.

Which of course make it all okay...
