Where have we seen this before? A Romanian keeper is in hot water after being caught on camera BITING an opponent.
The incident came in a crazy match between Petrolul Ploiesti and Gaz Metan Medias in which six players were sent off.
In the 65th minute of the game, Petrolul Ploiesti keeper Mircea Bornescu channelled his inner-Luis Suarez by clearly biting into Tha'er Al Bawab's upper arm after being unhappy with how long the Gaz Metan Medias striker had spent on the ground 'injured.'
Al Bawab responded by punching Bornescu in the face and both players received their marching orders.
Petrolul Ploiesti were already down to 10 men at that stage but amazingly they would finish with more players on the pitch as Gaz Metan Medias had three more players sent off in stoppage time as Petrolul Ploiesti earned a 1-1 draw thanks to a late penalty.
The impending suspensions are sure to hurt Petrolul Ploiesti more though as they are due to face CFR Cluj in the Romanian Cup final this weekend.
We know Romania is the land of Dracula but this is one bite that could put a stake in their cup final chances given Suarez got a 10-match ban for his now infamous bite on Branislav Ivanovic.
