Jayson Werth loses Yadier Molina fly ball in lights, acts as if he meant to do it

When it comes to players who look cool on the baseball field, Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth is near the top of the list. How many big leaguers have a WWE doppelgänger? And even though Washington was getting blanked by Adam Wainwright with the St. Louis Cardinals in town Thursday night, Werth still managed to make a blooper look effortless. With one out in the top of the eighth and the Nats already down 8-0, Cards catcher Yadier Molina lofted a fairly routine fly ball to shallow right field. That's when Werth simply lost the ball in the lights. The ball landed past Werth's outstretched glove and Molina wound up on second base after the error. But what made the move stand out was how casually the former All-Star played it off.

Max De Francesco can relate. The aspiring tenor performed "O Canada" prior to Game 1 of the Stanley Cup playoff series between the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning Wednesday. If there's one thing you don't want to do, it's mess up the Canadian national anthem in front of the franchise that has won a record 24 Stanley Cups. But that's exactly what happened.

The Truth hurts

Finally, it was nearly as embarrassing for future Hall of Famer Paul Pierce Tuesday night when the Brooklyn Nets faced the New York Knicks. Iman Shumpert simply took Pierce to school on a killer crossover move that put Pierce on the deck.
