  • Live Commentary

    • FC Copenhagen
    • Rubin Kazan
    • 90' Peep-peep-peep! It's all over! Dame N'Doye's late header wins the points for Copenhagen!
    • 90'+2 The free kick is played deep and Copenhagen just about scramble the ball upfield.
    • 90' Three minutes stoppage time to be played here as Rubin line up a free kick...
    • 89' Ooo! Karadeniz deflects the ball at goal and Wiland makes a wonderful reflex save. It wouldn't have counted though, Karadeniz was offside.
    • 87' Dame N'Doye puts the home team one up. The forward gets on the end of a deep Martin Vingaard cross and nods a towering header back across goal and into the net via the post!
    • 87' Gooaallll!!! Copenhagen go one up!
    • 85' And Rubin break! Kasaev streaks away and just when he looks as though he is about to shoot, he looks to pass the ball left to Kaleshin, but pass is too weak and recovered by the defence.
    • 84' A poor delivery from Gronkjaer though goes straight down the keeper's throat.
    • 83' Kaleshin brings down Gronkjaer in the left hand channel which earns him a booking. Copenhagen will have a chance to swing in a decent free kick from here...
    • 79' Gronkjaer drills in a cross which is desperately cleared only as far as Claudemir - again on the edge of the box - who side foots an effort high and wide of goal.
    • 77' Rubin sub: Carlos Eduardo has been replaced by Gokdeniz Karadeniz.
    • 76' Wendt crosses in yet another ball into the danger area which Lasha Salukadze nods the ball clear but only as far as Claudmeir who hits a volley wide of the goal.
    • 75' Copenhagen sub: Santin is off for Christian Bolanos.
    • 71' Twice in a minute Copenhagen swing the ball into a dangerous area but the forwards cannot get on their heads on the ball.
    • 69' Ooo! Jesper Gronkjaer hits a left footed drive at goal which brings out a Hollywood save from Ryzhikov.
    • 67' Oscar Wendt looks to cross the ball into the box but instead nearly scores as it loops in to the near post and nearly catches Sergei Ryzhikov unawares.
    • 65' Rubin sub: Oleg Kuzmin comes on for the injured Salvatore Bocchetti.
    • 64' The rain is coming down very hard in the Danish capital.
    • 63' The first booking of the night goes to Aleksandr Orekhov who takes away the legs on Cesar Santin on the half way line.
    • 61' Copenhagen are dominating the territory in the second half...
    • 59' Rubin twice make a mess of getting the ball clear. Copenhagen cannot capitalise though as their final ball has been poor.
    • 57' Rubin sub: Alan Kasaev repalces Obafemi Martins.
    • 56' A deep cross which looks destined to find the head of N'Doye is nodded clear by Bocchetti!
    • 52' Vingaard sprints back and takes both the ball and Carlos Eduardo. If that challenge was in the Premier League then commentators would be saying: "You wouldn't get away with that tackle in Europe."
    • 49' Kaleshin gets to the goal line and pulls the ball back to Sergei Kornilenko who side foots an effort narrowly over the bar!
    • 47' Rafal Murawski maraudes forward, cuts onto his left and bends an effort which is easily saved by Johan Wiland in Copenhagen's goal.
    • 46' Copenhagen get the second half underway.
    • 20:45 And so are Rubin.
    • 20:44 FC Copenhagen are back out on the pitch.
    • 45' Peep-peep-peep. The referee brings an entertaining first half to a close. It is score less at the break in Copenhagen.
    • 45' Nothing doing on the corner though and the visitors hook the ball clear.
    • 44' Bocchetti knocks the ball out for a Copenhagen corner as we approach half time...
    • 41' Ooo! Kaleshin whips a lovely ball into the corridor of uncertainty which evades the defence and Obafemi Martins who was inches away from getting his toe on the ball.
    • 40' Vitali Kaleshin looks to get goal side of Cesar Santin but the pair tangle feet and the referee opts to give the free kick to Copenhagen.
    • 35' Cesar Santin takes advantage of some slow ball movement in the midfield and robs the away team of possession.
    • 33' Copenhagen with a corner from the left which Martin Vingaard tries to bend into the far corner. Ryzhikov is alive to the danger though and tips it over the bar.
    • 30' End to end football in the Danish capital, we remain goalless though.
    • 29' Cristian Ansaldi with some superb play down the left. He digs out a cross which is cleared only as far as Christian Noboa who hits a half volley narrowly over the bar.
    • 27' Ooo! Oscar Wendt swings in a delicious, curling cross which Dame N'Doye is inches away from getting on the end of.
    • 25' Two goals in two minutes in the other match in this group. FC Barcelona and Panathinaikos are drawing 1-1, to view the updates on that match, click here.
    • 22' Tonight's referee is Austrian banker Thomas Einwaller who - according to UEFA's media notes - 'began pursuing his dream of being a referee in 1992'. There is some very curious wording in these media notes...
    • 19' Cesar Santin looks to latch on to a ball over the top, but to get there he has to foul his marker and that gives the referee an easy decision to make...
    • 17' N'Doye scuffs an effort wide from just outside the box.
    • 16' Superbly dogged play by William Kvist. He chases down a lost cause, and emerges with the ball despite the attention of two defenders. It's easy to see why he is Copenhagen's captain.
    • 13' Copenhagen swing a free kick in from the left which is flicked on by Mikael Antonsson and saved down low by Sergei Ryzhikov.
    • 11' Copenhagen have progressed past the qualifiers (BATE Borisov 0-0 A, 3-2 H) as well as the play-offs (Rosenborg 1-2 A, 1-0 H) on their way to competing in Champions League for the third time this season.
    • 8' Martin Vingaard swings a right foot at a half clearance and fires over the bar. That is Copenhagen's first shot of the night.
    • 6' Dame N'Doye pulls up a little lame as he hurdles a challenge. The Senegalese forward looks as though he should be ok to continue.
    • 5' Ooo! Rubin have started very positively! Copenhagen half clear a corner, the ball is knocked back in and Rafal Marawski volleys low which forces the keeper into a save.
    • 4' Ooo! Rubin have the first effort of the night. Christian Noboa is teed up by Carlos Eduardo and his shot is deflected over the bar!
    • 3' Rubin Kazan are wearing all maroon.
    • 2' Copenhagen are tonight wearing all white.
    • 1' We are underway!
    • 19:42 And here is the anthem...
    • 19:35 In their last participation in the Champions League group stages (2006/07), FC Copenhagen were undefeated a home; defeating both Manchester United and Celtic and drawing with Benfica. So surely this means Copenhagen will win tonight?
    • 19:30 FC Copenhagen have never lost a European match against a Russian side (two wins, one draw).
    • 19:25 This Parken Stadion holds some bittersweet memories for Arsenal fans. The Gunners robbed Parma 1-0 in the 1994 European Cup Winners' Cup Final, but lost on penalties to Galatassaray in the 2000 UEFA Cup Final.
    • 19:20 The other two teams making up this group are FC Barcelona and Panathinaikos. Surely Barca will win the group, which means the other three teams will be scrapping out for second place.
    • 19:15 Rubin are without Cesar Navas this evening who is serving a one match ban following his red card against Wolfsburg in last season's Europa League.
    • 19:10 A couple of players worth keeping an eye on tonight are Dame N'Doye of Copenhagen and Carlos Eduardo of Rubin Kazan. N'Doye has netted seven times this season for the home team, including one against BATE Borisov in Champions League qualifying. Eduardo made his debut for Rubin at the weekend and notched a brace.
    • 19:05 The team news is in...FC Copenhagen: Wiland, Pospech, Otteson, Antonsson, Wendt, Vingaard, Claudemir, Kvist, Gronkjaer, Ndoye, Santin///Rubin Kazan: Ryzhikov, Salukvadze, Orehov, Bocchetti, Ansaldi, Kaleshin, Murawski, Noboa, Carlos Eduardo, Martins, Karnilenko
