    • 90+5' The full-time whistle goes at Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea have stunned Shakhtar Donetsk in the fourth minute of stoppage time through substitute Victor Moses to win 3-2 in a pulsating Champions League Group E match! What a finale to a very fine contest. Chelsea are now joint-top of Group E on seven points. Thanks for joining us.
    • 90+4' GOAL! Chelsea grab a dramatic victory in the final minute of the match, and it's Victor Moses who rises high to head home unmarked from Mata's precise delivery, and Di Matteo's side have nicked this right at the death!
    • 90+2' Shakhtar win a free kick as they enjoy all the play in stoppage time, and it's Ramires who commits the foul. Chelsea clear through Cahill, and can still attack now.
    • 90+1' Shakhtar break at pace, and Rat's shot is deflected narrowly wide of the far post after desperate defending from Chelsea in their own box.
    • 90' Daniel Sturridge comes on to replace Torres, who has one goal - although he didn't know much about it - from his four efforts.
    • 89' Ivanovic powers down the right, but he is crowded out before Ramires's cross is blocked away by Rat.
    • 88' Mikel sweeps up at the back for Chelsea once more, and there is not a single Shakhtar player in the hosts' half at the moment.
    • 87' Mata whips over another corner from the right, and Chelsea are giving this everything as they seek all three points from this game.
    • 86' Ivanovic causes havoc in the Shakhtar box as the corner from Mata comes in, but he cannot quite get on the end of the deep ball.
    • 85' Kucher is hurt yet again, but he continues to play on as he holds his back. Chelsea have a corner, and the hosts throw bodies into the box.
    • 84' It's all Chelsea at the moment as Shakhtar continue to sit very deep and soak up the pressure from their hosts.
    • 83' Torres gallops forward for the hosts once more, but he overruns the ball and ends up fouling Kucher as he runs out of ideas.
    • 82' Mkhitaryan is penalised for a foul on Ramires, and this is suddenly getting very scrappy.
    • 81' Oscar, who scored that superb second Chelsea goal, is brought off to a standing ovation as Victor Moses is introduced.
    • 80' Fernandinho looks to cynically block off Bertrand down the left, but the referee does not see it that way, and play continues.
    • 79' Pyatov, who has not had a good game at all in the Shakhtar goal, flaps at a high ball in his box, with Mikel slamming a low shot just wide of the far post!
    • 78' Oscar continues to look extremely bright, and he races forward before being fouled by Hubschman.
    • 77' That is Teixeira's last contribution in the match as Ilsinho comes on to replace him.
    • 76' Ramires produces another driving run through the Shakhtar box, before he is eventually upended by Teixeira.
    • 75' The corner kick from Fernandinho is very poor and overhit, and Chelsea can build once more from the back.
    • 74' Luiz does well to concede a corner kick as Adriano races in down the left, and Di Matteo is still incensed by the lack of a penalty moments earlier!
    • 73' Penalty? No! Hazard releases Ramires, who gets in behind Srna, before appearing to be brought down by the Shakhtar skipper, but referee Carlos Velasco Carballo of Spain infuriates the home fans by shaking his head.
    • 72' Mikhitaryan is penalised for a foul on Hazard, and the match has lost the tempo of the first half.
    • 71' Mata again takes the set piece, but Rakitskiy does very well to head clear under pressure from Hazard in the box.
    • 70' Mircea Lucescu is out on the touchline looking very concerned as Kucher hobbles away to the touchline holding his right calf, and he could be about to be replaced.
    • 69' Hazard has really come into his own in this second half, and he wins yet another free kick for the hosts with a jinking run past the halfway line.
    • 68' This is Shakhtar's best ever start to a Champions League Group Stage (seven points after three matches), and three points in this game can't be ruled out with their attacking prowess.
    • 67' It's a disallowed goal for Chelsea as Mikel ghosts in at the back post to bundle the ball home from Mata's exquisite delivery, but his celebrations are ended abruptly as the offside flag goes up.
    • 66' Torres wins a free kick on the edge of the Shakhtar box with a powerful run, and it's Hubschman who makes the challenge.
    • 65' Fernandinho is given a stern ticking off from the referee after impeding Hazard, who was charging forward from deep.
    • 64' Shakhtar bring the ball down the left through Rat, before Cech is quickly off his line to gather a loose ball inside the Chelsea box.
    • 63' Stat from Opta: The draw with Juventus ended a run of six consecutive home wins at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea.
    • 62' Ramires brings the ball forward from midfield at pace, and it's end-to-end at Stamford Bridge with both sides pressing for all three points.
    • 61' Torres is left frustrated as he fails to latch on to a through ball from Mata, and he's been very subdued in the second half.
    • 60' Ramires fouls Fernandinho on halfway, and finally Shakhtar have some respite with this set piece.
    • 59' Chelsea have been under the cosh since the return from the break but they have begun to gain some ground in the visitors' half, and Hazard has been very visible.
    • 58' It's a terrific delivery from Hazard as the ball zips agonisingly wide of the far post, evading everyone in the box!
    • 57' Hazard wins a free kick out on the left, and it's Teixeira who receives the first yellow card of the match for his challenge.
    • 56' Srna continues to storm forward down the right, but this time Bertrand defends stoutly and manages to clear the danger.
    • 55' Rat again causes havoc with a pacy run down the left, and he just lets himself down this time with an overhit cross.
    • 54' Rat hits the post with a fierce low shot from 25 yards out, and Cech is completely beaten and left flat-footed by the effort!
    • 53' Kucher plays another back-pass to Pyatov, and there's a roar of anticipation from the home fans after the pair last combined like that in the sixth minute!
    • 52' Cech scuffs a very poor clearance straight to Fernandinho, but he cannot react quickly enough to catch out the Chelsea captain.
    • 51' Luiz was again pretty casual at the back as he failed to clear for that goal, but there is no denying the quality of the build-up play and Willian's finish.
    • 49' Shakhtar are very confident going forward, and Chelsea are looking all at sea at the back with Srna causing havoc once more down the right.
    • 48' Opta stat: Chelsea have won just one of their last five Champions League matches (W1 D3 L1).
    • 47' GOAL! It's another goal of supreme quality as Shakhtar draw level once more, and it's Willian who finds a crisp first-time finish from inside the box after fine work from Srna outwide on the right. It's a cracking team goal from the visitors, who are level once more!
    • 46' The second half is under way at Stamford Bridge, and it's Shakhtar's game to chase now with Chelsea holding a slender advantage.
    • - Let's hope for more of the same in the second half, with some stunning attacking play from both sides in the first 46 minutes. What did you make of that? What is your prediction for the full-time score in this match? You can get in touch on Twitter @Dan_Eurosport
    • 45+1' The half-time whistle goes at Stamford Bridge, and it's 2-1 to Chelsea in this pulsating Champions League Group E clash! Shakhtar equalised through Willian in the ninth minute after Torres's opener, but Oscar restored Chelsea's lead with an inspired volley.
    • 45' Cahill does very well to track a run from Willian and shepherd the ball out of play, and that's superb defending from the Englishman.
    • 44' Oscar, who is absolutely everywhere now, clips a deep ball to the back post, but Torres and Hazard fail to read it and the ball drifts out of play.
    • 43' Opta stat: Chelsea have hit the target with 67% of their attempts, the best shooting accuracy in the Champions League.
    • 42' Oscar drives a fierce shot on target from the edge of the penalty area, and Pyatov can only tip the ball over the crossbar - he's on fire, the Brazilian!
    • 41' Suddenly the home fans are in full voice once more, and there's a tremendous atmosphere at Stamford Bridge after that sublime goal from the Brazilian.
    • 40' GOAL! What a goal from Oscar! Pyatov comes way off his line to intercept a pass from Mata, but it goes straight to Oscar who chests the ball down and volleys over the keeper and into the net from fully 30 yards - it's his fourth goal in four Champions League matches, and a cracker!
    • 40' Hazard shimmies past Fernandinho and finds Mikel out on the right, but his first-time ball intended for Torres is poor.
    • 39' Luiz is alarmingly casual as he fails to track Mikhitaryanm, who very nearly gets on the end of Rat's deep cross in from the left flank.
    • 38' This time Ramires makes an impeccable challenge to deny Teixeira a run at goal, before Torres embarrasses himself with an attempted backheel which goes horribly wrong!
    • 37' Ramires fouls Srna with a rather cynical clip from behind, but referee Carlos Velasco Carballo of Spain keeps his yellow card in his pocket.
    • 36' Hazard has been pretty quiet for the hosts, but he is putting in a good shift and is having to play pretty deep with Shakhtar in possession once more.
    • 35' Torres has been absolutely superb for Chelsea since his goal in the sixth minute, and he continues to be full of running.
    • 34' Willian does well to hold up Ivanovic as the roles are suddenly reversed in the Shakhtar half, and he is unable to get a cross into the box.
    • 33' Stat from Opta: The reverse fixture in Donetsk had 20 shots on target (11 for Shakhtar and nine for Chelsea). Only two games since 2006-07 have had more.
    • 32' It's a very slick move from Shaktar as Teixeira, Adriano and Willian all combine, before the former sees his shot zip agonisingly wide of the far post with Cech at full stretch!
    • 31' There have now been two goals in the other Group E match between Juventus and Nordsjaelland in Turin. Follow that match here!
    • 30' Shakhtar keep the ball patiently at the back once more, and this game has really settled down since the second goal with the tempo suddenly slower.
    • 29' Oscar and Ramires link the play for Chelsea again before Ivanovic whips over a pinpoint ball from the right and into the box, and Torres really should have met that.
    • 28' Mikel concedes a free kick with a foul on Teixeira, and that was just clumsy from the Chelsea midfielder as he gifts a set piece to the visitors.
    • 27' Rat brings the ball forward for Shakhtar, but fine work from Ramires forces him to turn back and he almost plays another shocking back pass.
    • 26' Torres almost manages to latch on to a hopeful long ball upfield from Luiz, but he cannot quite take it down in his stride as the visitors are allowed to build again now.
    • 25' A decent ball from Ivanovic allows Torres to make a nuisance of himself in the box but the two centre-backs combine to clear the ball away under pressure.
    • 24' Shakhtar have edged the possession so far with 54 per cent in this first half, but it's a very even game with both sides equally dangerous going forward.
    • 23' Mikhitaryan squanders a promising opening for the visitors as he gets in behind Luiz but fluffs his shot wide very tamely. /// @TheJoeSawaya reckons that Bertrand is the man to replace Cole, but that Chelsea have a more general problem at the back.
    • 22' Chelsea are the fourth different English team to be drawn against Shakhtar and the previous teams are all from London (Fulham, Tottenham and Arsenal twice).
    • 21' Fernandinho is penalised for a foul on Ramires, and Chelsea are camped in the Shakhtar half now with the visitors on the back foot. But they remain very dangerous on the break, of course.
    • 20' Torres wins a corner as he just fails to complete a one-two with Oscar in the Shakhtar, and Chelsea are pressing hard now.
    • 19' Srna looks to pick out Rat with a raking diagonal pass, but he overhits it and that's pretty sloppy. Chelsea can now build once more from the back.
    • 18' The match is incredibly open at the moment, and both managers are looking anxious on the touchline as they implore their sides to keep their shape.
    • 17' Bertrand is almost caught out as he presses high up the field, and Shakhtar are looking very dangerous in the final third. /// @IlyasDonxQuinte is not sure whether Bertrand is ready to replace Cole at left-back in such big matches. What do others think?
    • 16' Torres is brimming with confidence, and he beats Raikitskiy with a lovely dummy, but can only drive his shot into the side netting from an acute angle.
    • 15' Willian storms through the Chelsea half again, seemingly at will, and he has been superb in this match.
    • 14' Srna again takes the corner, and Cech has to make a desperate save at his near post after an inadvertent touch from Bertrand almost beat his own goalkeeper from the set piece!
    • 13' Srna takes the corner from the right for Shakhtar, but Chelsea clear through Cahill as the hosts stand firm. Ramires then concedes another corner as the visitors pile on the pressure.
    • 12' Chelsea are not being allowed to build through their full-backs as Ivanovic and Bertrand are quickly closed down every time they get on the ball.
    • 11' This is already a pulsating match at Stamford Bridge, and parity has been restored after Shakhtar fell behind in just the sixth minute. What a response from the visitors.
    • 10' Shakhtar have now scored in all five of their European away games in England, all of which have been in London.
    • 9' GOAL! Willian, reported to be a Chelsea target, equalises just three minutes after the opening goal, and he finds a cool side-footed finish to beat Cech after brilliant work from Luiz Adriano down the right, who cut the ball back to his team-mate.
    • 8' Shakhtar are shell-shocked, and it is as much as they can do to keep the ball at the back as they attempt to regroup.
    • 7' That's Torres's 18th Champions League goal, and fourth for Chelsea. What a perfect start for the hosts, and that settles the early nerves.
    • 6' GOAL! What a catastrophe for Shakhtar as an awful backpass sees Pyatov kick the ball into Torres, and it bounces off the forward and into an empty net! From absolutely nothing, Chelsea are suddenly in front in this match, and it's a disaster for the visitors.
    • 5' Luiz drives a fierce free kick straight to Pyatov, but it dips and bounces awkwardly with Cahill almost able to turn in the rebound as the keeper throws himself to the ground to smother the loose ball.
    • 4' Chelsea finally settle, and the hosts win a free kick of their own 30 yards out from the Shakhtar goal as Fernandinho fouls Ramires.
    • 3' Rakitskiy drives a low effort on target from the set piece, but captain Cech is able to gather the ball pretty comfortably.
    • 2' It's a nervy start from the hosts as Shakhtar enjoy good possession in the Chelsea half, and Luiz rather clumsily fouls Luiz Adriano - who is looking to become his side's leading marksman in European competition this evening.
    • 1' We're under way at Stamford Bridge, and there's a terrific atmosphere as Chelsea look to end Shakhtar's formidable record of 37 games unbeaten in all competitions.
    • 19:40 Di Matteo reassures everyone before kick-off that his team will be just fine without Terry: "They have all played before, so I am not worried. I think it's important that we start well and get the crowd behind us and draw confidence from a good start." The players emerge, and we are all set at Stamford Bridge.
    • 19:35 As things stand in Group E with just 10 minutes before kick-off this evening, Shakhtar are top by three points after three matches with two wins and a draw; Chelsea are second, just a point above Juventus, who they face in Turin on November 20. Group E standings
    • 19:30 Fernando Torres again leads the line for Chelsea this evening at the expense of Daniel Sturridge, and the 28-year-old has 17 Champions League goals to his name. How many of those have been with Chelsea? Three. /// @Thetenner10 reckons that Chelsea will upset the satchel swingers this evening and confound their doubters.
    • 19:25 Petr Cech will wear the Chelsea armband this evening, while the Blues again go for Eden Hazard, Oscar and Juan Mata as the attacking midfield trio. For Shakhtar, Henrik Mkhitaryan and Alex Teixeira have each scored twice in the campaign so far.
    • 19:20 Shakhtar are still awaiting their first win in England and have lost three out of their last four - with all of their trips in London. But coach Mircea Lucescu was the last coach to win away at Chelsea in the Champions League group stages, with Besiktas back in 2003.
    • 19:15 Chelsea are evens to avenge their defeat in Ukraine with a victory tonight while Shakhtar are 11/4 for the win with the draw 5/2. @MichaelVu10 believes RDM should have rested either Mata, Hazard or Oscar and given Marin a chance, while @HamuchiJFakih thinks this match will decide the group. What are your thoughts?
    • 19:10 Chelsea sources have suggested Terry's omission was for reasons of match fitness, the defender having played just one competitive game in the last month; meanwhile, Shakhtar name an unchanged side from the reverse fixture.
    • 19:05 What do you make of the line-ups this evening, the omission of Terry from the starting XI and what scoreline are you predicting for this evening's clash? Post your comments and I'll publish as many as I can. Twitter @Dan_Eurosport

    • 18:50 This is what Robeto Di Matteo has had to say about tonight's match: "I think there are some comparisons to last season, when we had must-win games. Fortunately we have players that have experience and have been there before. I think we need to play a perfect game to be able to win against Shakhtar because they are a good side. But we are strong at home – we've shown that over many, many years and I think we'll be fired up for this game."

  2. As much as we need a world class striker come Jan, we really do need a world class center back or two. Luiz scares me, he's a real problem and a liability but Cahill can be just as bad at times. I think Terry knows his time is up at Chelsea, not bad getting around 120k a week to sit on the bench then have a bash on the excercise bike when your bored is it?

  6. A grating win with a slight taste of revenge. Why are Blues not mean and strict enough in giving space to opponents? Should we not appear so coordinated and coherent to manage flow of plays at home? Is Shakhtar and the like are such overpowering teams to hold off and run Chelsea for their money in the Bridge? or do our team's cowardly withdrawal after scoring goal or the flawed defending mid-fielders and Luiz's blunders give them scope to do whatever they want? By playing like this championship is out of reach.
