    • 16' Cluj now 2-0 ahead in Group H's other game. Suddenly Galatasaray's task tonight has grown in importance.

    • 14' Great break by United down the left but Powell dallies and fails to get a shot away after a good pass from Welbeck gave him a sight of goal.
    • 13' The game hasn't really got going yet. United will be the happier of the two teams up to this point.
    • 12' Not surprised to see Burak have the best effort of note so far. He has scored all of Galatasaray’s four goals in their last two Champions League matches.
    • 11' Elsewhere in Group H, CFR 1907 Cluj are beating Sporting Braga. Enjoy our live matchcast from Cluj v Sporting Braga

    • 9' Nordin Amrabat crashes a 30-yard shot well off target.
    • 8' Semih Kaya booked for a two-footed lunge on Cleverley. Could easily have been a red.
    • 7' Gala enjoying the best of the early possession but United look like they can cause a problem or two on the break, as Melo threatens to score a comedy own goal Djimi Traore would have been proud of!
    • 6' A lot of expectation in today's Turkish newspapers. Some of the headlines translate as: ‘Galatasaray focused on winning’, ‘Beating them would be like conquering’, ‘Galatasaray looks to beat under-strength United’, ‘Galatasaray face do-or-die situation’.
    • 5' Powell caught by Felipe Melo but no card is shown. Gala pick up a poor pass by Jones and Burak fires in a long ranger that Anders Lindegaard spills back into play. United eventually scramble it clear.
    • 4' The Turkish outfit are out to avenge their 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford in matchday one.
    • 3' Cleverley fires in a deflected shot from the edge of the box but it's easily held by the keeper.
    • 2' Galatasaray warmed up for tonight's game with a disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Kardemir Karabukspor. Man United suffered a similar frustration as they went down to a shock 1-0 loss at Norwich.
    • 1' KICK OFF! The hosts get the game underway.
    • 19.40 Man United have secured top spot after four wins out of four. Galatasaray can build on their first victory at Cluj last time out and strengthen their hold on second place. How will the Red Devils' young side cope with the atmosphere? We'll find out over the course of the next 90 minutes!
    • 19.35 Got any thoughts on tonight's clash? Get in touch via Twitter.
    • 19.25 Galatasaray's starting XI includes several familiar names to those who regularly follow the Premier League. Ex-Liverpool winger Albert Riera takes his place on the left flank with former Arsenal defender, Emmanuel Eboue also involved. Umut Bulut is on the bench and has been replaced by Johan Elmander, the one-time Bolton striker. He lines up in attack alongside Burak Yilmaz.
    • 19.20 Meanwhile, Alex Ferguson is hoping his fringe players rise to the occasion in what promises to be a hostile but passionate atmosphere. He said: "We don't consider the younger players a gamble. It will be a great occasion for our players to go and make a name for themselves. Of course, our aim as always, will be to win. When we were here in 1993 the atmosphere was incredible. The home supporters have enormous passion and their enthusiasm is fantastic."
    • 19.15 Ahead of the contest Gala coach Fatih Terim spoke of his admiration for the Group H winners and the huge test his team face. He told his pre-match press conference: "We are going to play against one of the most respected managers in the world, Alex Ferguson, and his team. If we look at history, teams like Manchester United are not beaten that easily. If you can win against them, you can call it a victory."
    • 19.08 Manchester United have already qualified as Group H winners but second place is very much up for grabs. Group H standings
    • 19.00 Phil Jones makes his first appearance of the season for the visitors at the heart of the defence. He will be partnered by skipper, Michael Carrick. Javier Hernandez leads the line with support from Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley. Nick Powell is also handed a rare start in midfield.

  9. Manchester United lost and can still play the same team in the next game of this group, simply because they won their first 4 games.People can call it an easy group(and it has appeared that way) but didn`t M.U. get an easy group last year? They won their group and can now concentrate on other competitions.I think it will be a similar lineup next game, and why not? I love the Champions League! Bring it on.

Honestly if Utd bought the ref as often as you think , refs would all be driving porsches.... grow up ... think of your own opinions stop spouting everybody elses.

Man Utd without doubt are going to win the league and the champions league. Ferguson has at least another 5 years in charge of this great club and he is still a winner. Those that look on with envy, get over it and concentrate instead on creating your own piece history. Man U and Fergie defiantly tick all the boxes. If only England had the nerve to bleed new players from the lower leagues in pointless games such as friendlies.

  14. All i can say is Man utd had 11 internationals on the pitch tonight, no reserve team out there, true they never played the half retired players that got well outclassed by Norwich but if they had of played the old players, they would have had to play these for prem game at the weekend

  19. For all the ABUs on here gloating because United lost "they already finished top of the group" there was nothing to bust a gut for, as far as we're concerned it was a training game! And that idiot "No midfield skint rags" must have his head stuck up his a#$%$. Has he not seen thatUnited are managing the debt and are still the richest sports team in the world, city's owner has money but because of FFP they can only spend what they earn, which isn't much, city will be back to midtable within three years, TICK TOCK!

  20. After watching the game i thought we played a great game everyone played their socks off , fantastic experience for the younger players they can only benefit , with a bit more luck could have come away with a point at least . My only two pieces of criticism is again Danny Wellbeck hes a runner not a footballer awfull and then he brings on Maceda no words can explain how poor he is gave ball away 5 times and managed to loose ball in the box in last minutes but able to luckily pass the ball on , both have got to go not good enough for United. Ref had a good game let it flow .
