    • 90+3' It's over! Celtic are out as Juventus progress 5-0 aggregate winners.
    • 90+2' Almost a spectacular finish for the home side as a quick break sees Giaccherini volley an assist for an acrobatic Quag effort... but the goalscorer was offside this time.
    • 90+1' Lassad is the latest Celtic name to try and fail from outside the box. High and wide.
    • 90' Three minutes of added time to be played.
    • 89' Kayal's shot from 25 bounces off Buffon, but the Juventus defenders are there to make sure Hooper cannot nab a goal on the rebound.
    • 88' Forrest with a speculative effort. Buffon claims it at the near post.
    • 86' Pogba receives treatment now, possibly just for cramp though. A nice cold isotonic beverage and the ex-Man Utd midfielder is on his feet.
    • 85' Pogba cuts out a Samaras ball in search of Ledley before Quagliarella is felled by Hooper for a free-kick in the middle of the park.
    • 84' Hearing that Wanyama, who went off at half-time, also had a tight hamstring so that's two hammy problems for Lennon coming out of this leg.
    • 82' That said, Celtic are making use of any space Juve grant them and when the hosts back off, their guests almost pounce with some lovely possession leading to Samaras firing over.
    • 80' I'm sure Lennon would end the match now if he could. Already lost Matthews to injury and the game is pretty much waiting for the final whistle now.
    • 79' Offside against Isla on the opposite flank this time off Barzagli's ball.
    • 77' Ambrose cuts out Isla's attempt to skin him on the left.
    • 76' Forrest bursts down the wing but when Asamoah makes the tackle, a goal kick is awarded. Typical of the visitors' luck.
    • 75' Game is dying down now. Even after 1-0 when Juve began to have more say on the tempo, Celtic had life in rebuttal. Now the gig is well and truly up.
    • 74' Hooper is the next Celtic player to drag a shot wide. Doesn't look like that 'out with a bang' moment is coming for them.
    • 72' That's the last contribution from Commons, as on comes Lassad Nouioui in the final change of the contest.
    • 71' Commons with a seemingly-dangerous strike from distance but the closer to goal it got, the further away it looked.
    • 70' Big goal for PSG as Lavezzi puts them 3-2 ahead in the tie against Valencia, who can force extra time if they score again. Paris Saint-Germain v Valencia CF | Live | Score | Champions League 2012-2013 - Yahoo Eurosport UK
    • 69' Another Juventus change, their last. Pirlo is given a rest and on comes Emanuele Giaccherini.
    • 68' Harsh on Celtic but they have been simple prey for Juve's approach over these two legs.
    • 66' Vidal immediately makes way for Chile compatriot Mauricio Isla in Juve's second substiution.
    • 65' GOAL JUVE! Superb ball forward by Pirlo snaps the offside trap into pieces and puts Vidal through. He opts to square selflessly for Quagliarella to tap home a second for the hosts. 2-0 (5-0 agg)!
    • 64' Izaguirre is booked for a late slide in on Padoin. He's the first Celtic player to see yellow tonight.
    • 63' Free-kick Juve, 30 yards out and right of centre. The players are set up anticipating a delivery from Pirlo but he looks more like he's going for goal as he sends it well over the bar.
    • 62' Ledley with a low cross from the left but Barzagli just about has it clear.
    • 61' Commons lacks a viable short pass, so he just shoots from 30. It's on target but Buffon isn't going to break a sweat over that.
    • 60' There's been a goal in Paris, and Valencia have taken the lead on the road! It's 2-2 on aggregate but PSG are still up on away goals. Paris Saint-Germain v Valencia CF | Live | Score | Champions League 2012-2013 - Yahoo Eurosport UK
    • 59' And now here comes Kwadwo Asamoah to replace the booked Peluso.
    • 58' Mulgrew's delivery is headed over by Ambrose.
    • 57' Celtic win a corner as Juve look ready to make a change... but it will wait...
    • 56' Samaras helps start a great counter-play by Celtic but his eventual attempt to head the centre across goal goes past two team-mates and is cleared by Pirlo.
    • 55' Wilson has to be alert to keep Matri and Quagliarella from linking up twice in the space of 20 seconds.
    • 54' So Celtic are now down to one available change while Juve have yet to make any.
    • 53' Stretcher for Matthews and James Forrest is prepared for the change.
    • 52' Pause in play now as Matthews is down clutching his leg. He was left behind by Peluso and the pull-up is the reason why.
    • 51' The hosts attack again but Peluso's cut-back for Matri is telegraphed and Wilson intercepts.
    • 50' Juve keep the pressure on and win a corner, which Celtic get away,
    • 49' Errant pass by Mulgrew allows Pogba to lay a pass on for Matri in the area. It clips his heels but that sets it up for Quagliarella to force a parry out of Forster.
    • 48' The hosts start the second half with surprising intent and Padoin has a dangerous cross headed safe.
    • 47' Wanyama was replaced by Efe Ambrose at the break.
    • 46' Juve kick off the second half.
    • 45+2' Half-time and while Matri's goal has pretty much certified the expected, Celtic have made good on their promise to go out with heads held high and really should have at least one of their own. Decent game so far in the rain. Join us for the second half in 15 minutes.
    • 45+1' Celtic with a stoppage-time corner but Wanyama penalised for climbing.
    • 45' We'll get at least a minute of time added onto the first half.
    • 44' Samaras is alternating flanks a little more now, which is earning him - and Celtic - some more possession in the last 10 minutes. Was favouring the left early on.
    • 43' Vidal bursts forward as Juve play advantage but Forster dives low to hold his tame shot, which at least was on target this time.
    • 42' Pogba dangerously loops a clearing header behind himself, but Bonucci is able to muscle Hooper away from possibly pouncing and Buffon has it.
    • 41' More penetrating delivery from the left-back soon after leads to Kayal getting a header on target. Buffon catches.
    • 40' Hooper is unable to guide another Izaguirre ball from the left towards goal.
    • 39' Quag feeds Matri, who is stood up well by Wilson on the edge of the box.
    • 37' The home side are finally beginning to find the tempo in midfield that they were after. Not that they have done bad out of weathering pressure and snapping back on the break, mind.
    • 36' Quagliarella clips Wilson as he loses out to the defender in an effort to keep the ball from going out for a goal kick. No further action though.
    • 35' Two serious chances for the visitors since going behind on the night. You can be sure their travelling support and their boss would be happy with 1-1 for a 4-1 aggregate all things considered. It's not a ridiculous shout either.
    • 34' Lung-bursting run by Samaras down the left followed by a fierce square for Hooper... perhaps too fierce as the striker is inches from tapping in from two yards.
    • 33' Samaras is unable to meet a decent curling delivery from Mulgrew.
    • 32' Pirlo catches a leg or two in possession but keeps going until Juve finally lose their way and Aydinus pulls up from the advantage for a free-kick in the centre circle.
    • 30' Matri offside from Pogba's raking ball forward.
    • 29' Vidal is in space but instead of bringing it to at least the edge of the box, he blasts over from 25.
    • 28' Ledley tries a clever flick to move Izaguirre's driven centre on, but Juve clear and now the break is on...
    • 27' Corner fails to beat the first man at the near post, unfortunately. Hopefully Celtic can get at least one goal in this tie.
    • 26' COMMONS! Hooper deflection wrong-foots Buffon! No, he gets a leg to it! Celtic corner!
    • 25' That's five goals in nine games for Matri in 2013
    • 24' So it's 4-0 on aggregate. Four goals is still enough to put Celtic through, but don't hold your breath - promising football or not.
    • 23' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL JUVE! That's probably it for Celtic. A bright start to the second leg but Quagliarella has been tough to handle and his burst forward and shot nutmegs Wilson, forcing a save from Forster which Matri taps in on the rebound. 1-0!
    • 22' Quagliarella with a great dribble to leave Wanyama and Kayal in his wake, but he waits just a second longer to release Matri with the through pass, leaving his striker partner stranded by the threat of offside and Forster able to claim the ball.
    • 21' Ooooh! Ledley's cultured drive just shades the wrong side of the woodwork's angle. Good effort!
    • 20' Izaguirre with another long ball into the danger zone but again Buffon has it covered.
    • 18' Still goalless in Paris, which means PSG are still going through. Paris Saint-Germain v Valencia CF | Live | Score | Champions League 2012-2013 - Yahoo Eurosport UK
    • 17' The initial free-kick is cleared but Ledley stylishly centres for Commons, and that surely would have been a test for Buffon had he gone for goal after one touch to control. Instead, Commons dawdles and is dispossessed.
    • 16' First booking of the match is for Peluso with a very cynical tug on Matthews to prevent a Celtic breakaway.
    • 15' Wanyama is again furious that he is not given a free-kick as Pogba puts him under a lot of physical pressure
    • 14' Quagliarella tries to reinvent the definition of 'quick counter' after a great first touch receiving a clearance, his subsequent 35-yard attempt to catch Forster off-guard drifts well wide.
    • 13' Matthews cross is away by Barzagli.
    • 12' Forster almost spills a Pogba ball forward, but recovers it quickly enough.
    • 11' No real sign of the rain letting up. That said both teams are refusing to tweak their philosophies too much. Possession football the plan at the very least.
    • 10' First decent Juventus approach thanks mostly to the work of Matri and Quagliarella, but it ends when Pogba goes down too easily inside the 'D' under pressure from Wanyama and gets nothing.
    • 8' Kayal has a shot from 20 yards closed down after Commons is dispossessed.
    • 7' Nonetheless we're seeing some good, composed possession here in the early stages from the visitors.
    • 6' Izaguirre sends in an early ball but it's routine stuff for Buffon.
    • 5' Now Wanyama whistled for an offence against Quagliarella, though the shirt-pulling and barging was going both ways.
    • 4' It looks like Bonucci is mugged for possession near the left-hand corner flag by Hooper, but a free-kick is given for a foul by the striker.
    • 3' Peluso gets the good fortune from a challenge by Matthews and proceeds past the right-back, only for him to recover and put the ball out of play.
    • 2' A rare start to the game as Pirlo completely mis-judges a pass (!) allowing Ledley to feed Samaras, and his cross is cleared despite Commons getting a touch to it.
    • 1' And here we go!
    • 19:45 Fan of Turkish officials in the Champions League after last night? Firat Aydinus is the man in charge of this encounter. Celtic have enough of their own gripes with non-Turkish referees, of course.
    • 19:40 The teams are in the tunnel and the Juventus Stadium is glistening with rain-soaked tifos. What do you think tonight's final score will be? Let us know via Twitter: the website handle is @eurosportcom_en and I'm at @liamhappe
    • 19:35 Juventus have lost only one of their last 20 Champions League games at home (1-4 v Bayern Munich, December 2009), winning 13 and drawing six. They have kept clean sheets in 13 of those games.
    • 19:30 The other second leg tonight, PSG v Valencia, is slightly more finely-poised. That said, it didn't look that way until a late consolation goal and red for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. • 19:20 Juventus and Celtic have met five times in the past, with three wins for the Italian club and two for the Hoops.
    • 19:15 Celtic boss Neil Lennon: "They have excelled, absolutely excelled, and they have done the club and Scotland proud. They have one more crack at it so if we do go out, we want to go out on our shield. We haven't had Champions League football for four or five years. We had some fantastic nights, even against Juventus the atmosphere was amazing."
    • 19:10 Juventus manager Antonio Conte: "Nobody is underestimating the importance of this game – a team qualifies over 180 minutes and we've only played 90, so we have another 90, plus maybe extra time and penalties, against a strong proud team who will want to make amends for the first leg."
    • 19:05 Arsene Wenger appears to be a fan of stating the obvious. He says there is no chance for Celtic to progress at the expense of Juve, who are genuine contenders to go all the way this season. No chance for Celtic against contenders Juventus
    • 19:00 Nonetheless, Celtic boss Neil Lennon says his side will be aiming to exit the competition with a positive performance, if as expected they do. Lennon: Celtic will go for it
    • 18:55 Clinical finishing and an unfit Ambrose were the difference in the first leg, but what a difference they made. Juve are 3-0 up heading into their home fixture and it will take some feat for the Bhoys to turn this one around against the Serie A champions. 2. STOP!!!!!!!!!!....STOP!!!!!!!!!!....STOP!!!!!!!!!!....S TOP!!!!!!!!!! I've come on this thread as a Football fan to congratulate Glasgow Celtic on getting as far as they have in the Champions League which has been no mean fete when you consider the Group they were drawn into which was a lot harder to get out of than the Group Man United were drawn into and then managed to get as far as United did in the knock out stages is an outstanding achievement to say the least. Celtic have been an absolute revelation and a breath of fresh air throughout the whole competition and i for one have enjoyed every single second of watching their exploits across Europe, every game has been edge of the seat Football and i sincerely don't mean to cause offence to other Scottish fan's of any other Team's, but i personally think Glasgow Celtic have done Scotland and especially Scottish Football proud and they need to be commended for carrying the flag of Scotland across Europe and putting Scottish Football back on the map where it so rightly belongs...."WELL DONE GLASGOW CELTIC FOOTBALL CLUB". "RIGHT 1-2-3, AS YOU WERE!!".

From Bilbo, on Thu 7 Mar 0:44
  3. Here we go who's to blame now? haw haw haw oot you go.

From CSS, on Wed 6 Mar 23:32
  4. To Dimexdoo, are you a not very bright former pigeon? Celtic reached the last 16 out of around 80 teams who started in the competition, so who do you think should be allowed to compete?

From BRIAN, on Wed 6 Mar 22:42
  5. 171 oh aye dont forget arbroath took your pish side to a replay and got robbed by a dodgy decision chumpions indeed just admit it your team is inconsisant garbage and lennon couldnt motivate #$%$ all .

From Theresonlyoneticinglesga PARTICK, on Wed 6 Mar 22:41
  6. Why are these wee rubish teams like wee Celtic even allowed in this competition?

From Ronaldinho, on Wed 6 Mar 22:31
  7. While I don't want to criticise anyone at Celtic the current squad they are clearly the best team in Scotland (no disrespect to the other clubs) but Celtic are more workmanlike than brilliant.....There are to me anyway people at the club who are not good enough no names necessary and motivation seems to be a problem

From Raymond, on Wed 6 Mar 22:18
  8. Well done Celtic football club As for yer fans GIRFUT hehehe

From Davy, on Wed 6 Mar 22:18
  9. Take heart Neil Lennon! A brilliant run in the Champions League for Celtic, restoring the faith & respect to Scottish football! The Bhoy did good! In Lennon We Trust

From Lola, on Wed 6 Mar 22:15
  10. BRIAN - Celtic did not outlast Manure - they both went out at the same stage of the competition.

    From the_voice_of_reason, on Wed 6 Mar 21:55
  11. gutted for them obviously. leaving aside the sectarian hatred, its clear that you Jocko's will have to sharpen up the competitiveness of your domestic league.

  12. * as jose mourinho will say , the best team lost *

From John, on Wed 6 Mar 21:49
  13. To someone with the rather odd name of Geezo, Rangers lost 12 - 4 on aggregate in Europe to Eintracht Frankfurt a few years ago, so it is not unknown for Scottish teams to be well beaten in Europe.

From BRIAN, on Wed 6 Mar 21:46
  14. They're a grand old team when they lose.

    From the_voice_of_reason, on Wed 6 Mar 21:46
  15. We cant win them all the time, lennon will be back

From John, on Wed 6 Mar 21:44
  16. It's been a bad few days for Lemon. On Friday it was confirmed he would not be getting the 5 extra league titles he wanted, on Sunday it was confirmed that Lord Nimmo would be clarifying F all, on Tuesday wee Thomson confirmed the SPL would not look to turn over Lord Nimmo's ruling and today out of the CL. Jeeeeeeesus wept!!

  17. Jock Tw ats

    From , on Wed 6 Mar 21:40
  18. Well done Celtic, whoever would have believed that you would have gone so far in the competition outlasting the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea.

From BRIAN, on Wed 6 Mar 21:40
  19. I think Big Jock Knew
