    • 90+5' And that's the last act. PSG save face by drawing at home right at the death but it's still advantage Barcelona thanks to two away goals.
    • 90+4' GOAL PSG! Right at the death Matuidi has a shot deflected off Bartra which Valdes should have kept out but it dribbles over the line. 2-2!
    • 90+3' Ibra offside again. Cutting a frustrated figure out there.
    • 90+2' We have uploaded a 3D video of Messi's opening goal. Check out the assist from Alves! 3D Goal: Messi scores for Barcelona
    • 90+1' Ibrahimovic through... nope, offside. Had put the ball in the net but does not count.
    • 90' Four added minutes for PSG to restore parity.
    • 89' No Messi onfield so up steps Xavi... and it's in! 2-1 Barcelona!
    • 88' PENALTY BARCELONA! Sanchez brought down by Sirigu's late dive!
    • 87' Ibra booked for clattering Alba afterwards. Silly.
    • 86' Gameiro almost through! Ibra with the flick-on but Alba recovers with a headed interception.
    • 85' Ah ha! It was Alves who was booked before. Thankfully that's cleared up.
    • 84' That is exactly what happens and it's Marc Bartra, another youngster of promise, to see out the closing stages.
    • 83' Mascherano is down again and looks set to enforce Barca's final sub.
    • 82' No word yet as to an actual booking just before the goal so ignore the previous comment. Could have sworn there was a yellow for a Barca player as their protests wore thin on Herr Stark...
    • 81' Barca guilty of being rattled by the decisions preceding the goal there and won't be pleased to see replays which suggest that Ibra was offside...
    • 80' Barcelona respond by making a change and it's Villa off, Cristian Tello on.
    • 79' GOAL PSG! Ibrahimovic tucks in the rebound after Thiago Silva heads the corner at Valdes. 1-1!
    • 78' Things are getting heated and someone has been booked. Will let you know who once it's been made clear.
    • 77' Two Barca players collide trying to meet the near-post corner and end up playing Ibra onside as he shins an effort at Valdes. Another corner but Barca are furious that play wasn't stopped for Alba and Macherano being down.
    • 76' Free-kick sees Busquets beat Lucas to the delivery at the expense of a corner. Before it is taken, Kevin Gameiro comes on for Pastore in the home side's final switch.
    • 75' PSG break from the corner and Menez pulls back at the left-hand byline to draw a rough foul from Mascherano and that is a booking for the Argentine.
    • 74' Xavi to take... deflected off the wall and almost dips in, instead resting on the roof of the net.
    • 73' Now Barca forward and Villa wins a free-kick 25 yards out and central.
    • 72' Maxwell cuts inside but goes for goal rather than the square pass and Valdes smothers it.
    • 71' Another PSG change, their second, sees Beckham make way for Marco Verratti.
    • 70' Unfortunately, the Brazilian full-back's great performance so far is sullied a bit by a stupid attempt to claim Menez kicked him in the back of the head during a coming together. Cough.
    • 69' Alves to take... close! Just flies past the far post!
    • 68' Beckham gets booked for a bad tackle on Sanchez.
    • 67' Just an observation, but Jallet was nowhere to be found both times Sanchez got in there.
    • 66' Sub from PSG now as Lavezzi makes way for Jeremy Menez.
    • 65' Matuidi will miss the second leg. That's a big blow for PSG. He fouls Iniesta and gets the yellow card.
    • 64' Sanchez again now and though he goes first-time this time, it's tame and Sirigu easily claims.
    • 63' Should be 2-0! Alves with another lovely ball in a more conventional manner this time from the right. Sanchez takes it down but then tries to take more touches and loses out.
    • 61' An end-to-end passage of play sees both sides come close to getting through on goal before Alba is booked for pulling back on Matuidi as they countered the Barca counter.
    • 60' This one is pushed back, but still in possession Barca go forward through Villa, whose through pass for Sanchez is more of a hospital ball than great vision.
    • 59' Fabregas is doing a good job so far of keeping PSG busy when he gets the ball. Another mazy run leads to another corner, which is then put behind for a second in succession for Barca.
    • 58' Superb tackle by Pique on Matuidi to prevent him converting an Ibra flick-on. That could have been a goal, or a second yellow for the defender, but he timed that perfectly.
    • 57' Ibrahimovic once again crowded as he gets the ball inside the area and Alves is able to clean up for the Spaniards.
    • 56' Some half-time tweetage from you guys: @nasrumv says "PSG needs to make use of their chances if they want to stay in the competition. Possession or Shots without goals are meaningless" while @haroldboukoubi remains optimistic "PSG will overcome this difficulty to beat barca." and Eurosport's own @HeatherBowler1 says "Messi scored. Messi injured. Messi off? Veni vidi vici?" - Tweet @liamhappe and have your say!
    • 55' Lavezzi is furious when what he feels was an attacking PSG throw is awarded to Barca. The home fans share his sentiments.
    • 54' Bayern have been all over Juventus but still lead by just the 30-second Alaba strike: Bayern Munich v Juventus | Live | Score | Champions League 2012-2013 - Yahoo Eurosport UK
    • 52' The hosts keep pressing high up but Ibra loses the ball in a 3-on-1 in the Barca box.
    • 51' Absolutely brilliant tackle by Busquets prevents Jallet from collecting a loose ball as PSG turn the screw a little. He's in the floor still in pain but eventually gets back up and into the action.
    • 50' Xavi's delivery again only cleared 20 yards, but Busquets sends his speculative shot straight at Sirigu.
    • 49' Fabregas creates some space for himself and his first contribution to the game is winning a corner off Silva.
    • 48' We come close to losing both our celebrity players as Beckham takes a nasty knock on the shins. He wins a free-kick and while in pain, doesn't look for treatment.
    • 47' Messi is off the pitch, however. Half-time precaution sees Fabregas on in his place and the away side set up a little more rigid, with Sanchez floating around Villa up top.
    • 46' The home side get the second half underway.
    • 45+2' And that's half time. Messi's goal the difference between the sides so far but PSG have had a decent gameplan and are unlucky to have not scored themselves. See you in 15, keep the comments coming via Twitter @liamhappe
    • 45+1' One added minute in the first half.
    • 45' @cfc1905fans says "i think it will be a 2-1 for Psg..." - it's bold but they have forced some fine stops from Valdes so far - and hit the post... and @j_villacreses concurs: "PSG can come back and win it still. Not saying it'll be easy... But they can do it. Ibra won't go without scoring at least once!"
    • 44' Bit of treatment for Messi and Barca play for a moment with ten men, but fans will be pleased to know he's fine to continue. Just a thigh tweak and he'll be allowed back into play shortly.
    • 43' Messi finds more space to enter the box than in previous attempts and almost punishes the hosts with a left-footed drive which just misses the top corner.
    • 42' Do you think PSG can keep it going and find a way back or is this the Barcelona show now? Let me know via Twitter @liamhappe - we are publishing your views throughout the matchcast tonight.
    • 41' Tails up, Barca push again but Villa is offside.
    • 40' PSG had come closest to breaking the deadlock beforehand but will kick themselves now. Alves has been the best player for Barca and Messi has started to pick things up in the last five so it's not a surprising combination for our first goal of the tie.
    • 39' GOAL BARCELONA! It's Messi with his 59th in 77 CL games! Wonderful ball in from Alves once the corner was headed away from danger which the Argentine put across Sirigu first-time in typical stylish fashion. 0-1!
    • 38' Sanchez cuts inside from the left and his 20-yard shot is deflected wide for another corner to the away side.
    • 37' The set piece and a pair of follow-up deliveries are dealt with, but Messi then tracks back to prevent Moura from charging forward on the break.
    • 36' Messi weights a ball to Alves' overlap on the right perfectly. First-time cross is blocked out by Silva, who has been a beast at the back so far. Barca corner.
    • 35' Lucas continues to keep Alba busy on the wing and catches a high boot from the left-back. No yellow card, however.
    • 34' Lovely reverse ball by Ibrahimovic finds Lavezzi, who again is a tad ahead of the offside trap.
    • 33' Barcelona have had 74 - SEVENTY-FOUR - per cent of possession but trail in shots 7-3, 2-1 on target.
    • 32' Alba's short cross almost sneaks through to Iniesta near the six-yard box but Silva reacts well to prevent a shot.
    • 31' @wazza_mutd10 thinks PSG need to make good on this bright start: "Barca have that special something that they had two years ago. PSG need to score tonight to have any hope of qualifying." - tweet @liamhappe your thoughts and views.
    • 30' Messy scenes in the PSG 'D' as they make a series of successful challenges only to give possession back immediately. They finally clear their lines to avoid an embarrassing opening goal.
    • 29' Matuidi stands up Iniesta on the left near the byline and wins the ball.
    • 28' For a second time, Messi is guilty of trying to do too much alone. PSG defenders more than happy to group up on him and again he loses out to the gang mentality.
    • 27' Xavi sends a ball forward towards Villa but Sirigu is alert and gets there first.
    • 26' @nasrumv gets involved via Twitter - "PSG will probably score first. Barca will make it even 1-1" - if you want to have a comment published too, follow me @liamhappe and tweet it over!
    • 25' Another PSG counter sparked by a great Alex challenge. Lucas keeps it going at pace before Ibrahimovic cuts inside his man and fires wide. He could have possibly picked out Lavezzi, but you know how badly Ibra wants to score past his old club.
    • 24' Must be said though that Matuidi will miss the second leg if booked tonight. Busquets goes down easily from his challenge and I suspect Barca know he's one false move away from suspension.
    • 23' Lucas is absolutely dazzling thus far, beating Barca midfielders almost subconsciously. Matuidi has also been strong closing down the Spaniards' passes in the centre circle and forcing them to rely on the channels.
    • 22' Ibra sparks the PSG counter but soon finds himself outnumbered without adequate support.
    • 21' Messi goes for his first wander of the match and it takes four defenders to dispossess him in the area.
    • 20' Paris starting to sustain some attacking possession now rather than bombing forward on the breaks. Pastore and Ibrahimovic however fail to pick out colleagues with final ball attempts.
    • 19' Ibra and Becks are having words over the set piece, just right of centre and 20 out. Hard to tell at the whistle who will take it... IBRA! Rasping low shot pushed around the post by Valdes!
    • 18' First booking of the game as Ibrahimovic brings the ball down well on his chest before being brought down by Pique as he approaches the penalty area. The centre-back sees yellow.
    • 17' Iniesta almost scores a golazo but his curling 20-yarder fizzes just wide.
    • 16' Alves and Moura are the players to watch so far for each side, making a lot of headway on their respective right-hand sides. But though Barca have had most of the possession, it's PSG who have created the early chances.
    • 15' ANOTHER PSG CHANCE! The free-kick is half-cleared before Pastore tries just lick just outside the box. His low drive is sneaking inside the near post but Valdes stops it well, recovering the spilled ball just before a PSG team-mate can pounce on the rebound.
    • 14' This time around Lucas draws the foul from Busquets 30 yards out and it gets the Spanish enforcer a verbal warning from Wolfgang Stark.
    • 13' Tito Vilanova is back on the touchline, by the way, first time in 10 weeks following cancer treatment.
    • 12' Alex meets the first flag kick of the game with a header but cannot guide it on target. Goal kick.
    • 11' The aforementioned duo link up as Beckham feeds Lucas on the flank, but a great challenge from Mascherano stops him in his tracks at the expense of a corner.
    • 10' Lavezzi gets through on goal again as the hosts break... but the offside flag went up. Valdes blocks the shot anyway.
    • 9' Iniesta is inches away from picking out Villa with an excellent pass. Very close to a serious chance.
    • 8' Not much time on the ball so far from Beckham, who is in central midfield with Lucas on the right.
    • 7' It's back to business other than the woodwork effort with the visitors camped in the Parisian final third.
    • 6' Interesting take from @pulpkfiction - "Funny How all arsenal fans think Cesc has 'wasted' his career after being benched for two games"
    • 5' PSG HIT THE POST! Finally getting possession, Lavezzi stylishly enters the Baca box and puts a shot across Valdes onto the far upright. A follow-up from Pastore is closed down well.
    • 4' The tweets are rolling in now... @millerpaterson says "i reckon 2-1 Paris, the french will really get behind their team as they always do at home" @gbieorjr says " It's gonna be a 2-1 game against PSG and I'm Rufus Gbieor Jr." - follow @liamhappe and keep them coming!
    • 3' Barca are playing in their infamous orange-yellow away kits and are controlling the early possession as only Barcelona can.
    • 2' The clean-shorn Dani Alves commits a foul before going for goal leading to a whistle early on. But there was no foul at Bayern when Alaba opened the scoring after just 30 seconds with a superb curling drive!
    • 1' And we are underway!
    • 19:45 The teams are out on the pitch. It's almost time. @eh_mark has the first contribution to @liamhappe on Twitter: "1-1 draw. Barca will be happy to go to the 2nd leg with that result." - we want to hear from more of you throughout the game. • 19:35 Right. Ten minutes remain until kick-off. I want your predictions and views on the match and the teams. Was starting Beckham the right choice? Would you have left Fabregas on the bench as Barca have? Who will win this first leg? Follow me on Twitter @liamhappe and tweet me your messages and I will publish them here on the matchcast.
    • 19:30 Barcelona have always scored against French opposition in the Champions League (10 games), but have only won three of their last 14 away games in the knockout stages of the Champions League. Lionel Messi has scored 58 goals in 76 Champions League games. Only Raul has netted more (71 goals, in 142 games). He’s been directly involved in five of Barça’s six away goals in the Champions League this season (three goals, two assists).
    • 19:25 PSG are unbeaten at home in their last 23 games in European competition, qualifiers included (15 wins, 8 draws). Their last defeat dates back to 23 November 2006 in the group phase of the UEFA Cup, against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (2-4). PSG have won 15 of their 21 home games in the Champions League (two draws, four defeats) and are unbeaten in the last six.
    • 19:20 The last two Champions League/European Cup finals played at Wembley have both been won by Barcelona (1992 and 2011).
    • 19:15 The only previous Champions League encounter between PSG and Barcelona was in the quarter-finals in March 1995. The French club won 3-2 on aggregate.
    • 19:10 Only one player from either side made it into last week's European Team of the Weekend based on Opta stats. Can you guess who it is? Here's the link to find out (no cheating): European Team of the Week: March 29-31
    • 19:05 Jordi Roura (Barca assistant): "They are quick on the break and strong in the air, especially with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, but those are just two of their options: they have a lot more tricks in their bag. We'll have to adapt a bit, of course, but we won't change the way we play, although we have studied their game carefully."
    • 19:00 Carlo Ancelotti: "We may not have a lot of possession but as soon as we get the ball I want my team to show character and inspiration to go forward and score. We have defended very well so far this term and we've done well on the counter-attack. This is what we want to do tomorrow because we'll need it if we are to get a good result."
