    • 90+5' The full-time whistle goes at the Luzhniki Stadium, and Spartak Moscow record their first win of Champions League Group G with a 2-1 victory over Benfica! It's a crucial result for Unai Emery's side. Thanks for your company. What did you make of that result? Twitter: @Dan_Eurosport
    • 90+4' Ari is now shown the yellow card for a poor challenge on Perez, as further time is added.
    • 90+3' Welliton clashes with Lima, and this is all getting rather farcical with the hosts wasting time and poor challenges coming in.
    • 90+2' Lima is shown the yellow card for a niggly foul and playacting.
    • 90+1' A trip in the home area gives the hosts relief as they finally have the opportunity to clear.
    • 90' Four minutes will be added to this second half as Benfica press forward through Salvio.
    • 89' Pereira is penalised for a foul on Kombarov, and again Spartak are let off.
    • 88' Spartak are clearing the ball but they have nobody upfield to hold possession. Benfica are sending the ball straight back at them.
    • 87' John comes on to replace Matic, and Benfica are throwing everything at Spartak now.
    • 85' Salvio is penalised for a foul on Makeev, and that is respite for the hosts.
    • 84' There is no cutting edge in the final third from the visitors at the moment, and they need another gear.
    • 83' Benfica continue to stroke the ball around patiently in their own half, but they need more.
    • 82' Benfica are pressing incessantly at the moment, and Spartak are not managing to get out of their own half.
    • 81' Ari is looking very isolated now as he lacks the support he enjoyed in the first half.
    • 79' It's all Benfica at the moment as the hosts struggle for possession, but to no avail.
    • 78' Lima is sent free into the Spartak area on the left. He cuts inside on to his right-foot, but Nicolas Pareja slides in to block the shot in the nick of time.
    • 77' Matic fouls Ari in the Benfica half, and he is booked for the infringement - another from his side.
    • 76' Benfica have committed more fouls than any other team in the competition, and they are not managing to win the ball back fairly at the moment.
    • 75' Lima misses the target with a wild shot from 25 yards out, and it's a poor effort.
    • 74' Kallstrom is also penalised for a handball on halfway, and suddenly the match is really lacking fluency.
    • 73' Cardozo is booked after a poor challenge on Pareja, and the Benfica man is penalised.
    • 72' Welliton comes on to replace Bilyaletdinov, and that's their second change.
    • 71' Jurado is penalised for a handball, and it's very fragmented now as both sides jostle for possession.
    • 69' Salvio really should have done better there, and Benfica should have levelled up this match.
    • 68' What a chance for Benfica! Salvio storms through and should score with just Rebrov to beat after a poor back header, but his effort drifts agonisingly wide!
    • 67' Makeev maraudes forward and blasts a wild shot narrowly wide of the far post - he continues to thrive in this match.
    • 65' Spartak continue to enjoy 58 per cent of the play as Benfica struggle to haul themselves back into it.
    • 63' Oscar Cardozo comes on for Benfica as Rodrigo departs, while Nicolas Gaitan replaces Bruno Cesar.
    • 62' Rodrigo concedes a free kick for a foul on Kallstrom, and it's very scrappy at the moment.
    • 61' Lima is slipped into the area on the left, and shoots across goal, but a well-timed challenge from Marek Suchý turns the ball behind for a corner.
    • 59' Jurado continues to excel as he storms down the left and cuts the ball back, but Garay is able to sweep up at the back.
    • 57' Ananidze is withdrawn as Kirill Kombarov is introduced for the hosts. It must be an injury, because he has been superb.
    • 55' What a chance for Spartak! Ananidze twists and turns with superb footwork before cutting the ball back to Ari, who backheels on target with Artur able to save.
    • 53' Benfica are finally managing to apply some pressure as they build from midfield through Perez and Bruno Cesar.
    • 52' Jurado is ruled offside as he makes another enterprising run down the right, and he just mistimes it.
    • 51' Jorge Jesus is ready to make changes as he has his substitutes warming up on the touchline.
    • 50' Emery is very animated indeed on the touchline as he waves his players forward.
    • 49' Kallstrom and Kombarov continue to dominate the play from midfield for the hosts.
    • 48' Bruno Cesar is penalised for a foul on Makeev, and Moscow can build from the back.
    • 47' Lima's goal was the first Benfica's have scored in this season's competition, but they need at least another if they are to get anything from their trip to Moscow.
    • 46' We're back under way at the Luzhniki, and neither manager has made a change at the break.

    • 45+1' The half-time whistle goes at the Luzhniki Stadium, and it's 2-1 to Spartak Moscow after goals from Rafael Carioca and an own goal from Jardel. Lima's equaliser for Benfica counts for nothing at this stage.
    • 45' Suchy is booked as he fouls Lima with a crude challenge, and that was cynical.
    • 44' The hosts are looking very good, and they thoroughly deserve to be in front after this first half.
    • 43' GOAL! Spartak are back in front as Makeev whips over another stupendous delivery from the right, and Jardel turns the ball beyond his own goalkeeper under pressure from Ari! The hosts are deservedly back in front.
    • 41' Nicolas Pareja rises highest at the back post to meet the corner from the right, but the goalkeeper is once again up to the task, saving again to his right.
    • 40' Artur blocks a shot from Ananidze, and Spartak remain very much on top in this match.
    • 39' Spartak win a corner out on the right, and Jurado will again take it with the hosts applying the pressure.
    • 37' Jurado misses the target with a fierce shot narrowly wide of the far post, but he continues to look dangerous.
    • 36' It is now the visitors who are knocking the ball around confidently, with the hosts shaken after an impressive first half hour.
    • 35' Makeev barges over Perez on halfway, and this is all getting rather scrappy now.
    • 34' The hosts are stunned by that goal from Lima, and it's very much against the run of play.
    • 33' GOAL! Lima pops up to level the scores for Benfica as he pounces from close range to head past Rebrov from Salvio's precise free kick from out on the right - it's a fine finish, and the visitors are level with one of their first attacks!
    • 31' Rebrov makes a fine save as Matic volleys from close range, and the keeper saves with his legs!
    • 29' The hosts continue to have the better of the possession and the play, and Rafael brings the ball forward once more.
    • 28' Ananidze continues to cause havoc with his clever runs in the final third, and he's coming off the right flank constantly.
    • 27' Benfica have won just one of their last six Champions League matches (W1 D1 L4), which includes a win and a defeat to Zenit St Petersburg.
    • 26' The ball was clearly not over the line, and the Spartak players accepted the decision. It was agonisingly close to being a second.
    • 25' Ananidze delivers a pinpoint delivery from the right, and Ari meets it at the back post, but sees his stabbed shot rebound off the crossbar!
    • 23' Only Malaga and Real Madrid (4 each) have allowed their opponents fewer shots on target against them than Benfica (5) in this season’s Champions League.
    • 21' Rafael finds Jurado, who continues to impress with another fine run down the left, but this time he cannot apply a telling pass.
    • 19' Spartak have enjoyed 60 per cent of the ball, manufacturing three efforts at goal to Benfica's one.
    • 18' Bilyaletdinov brings the ball forward once more for the hosts, and Spartak continue to dictate the play.
    • 17' Kombarov keeps the ball in midfield for his side as he links the play, and Moscow are dominating this match.
    • 16' Bruno Cesar wins a free kick on halfway for the visitors, and Ananidze feels aggrieved at the decision after only a faint contact.
    • 15' Spartak have conceded six goals so far in the competition, so Benfica will not lose hope of a recovery.
    • 14' Rodrigo fires a vicious shot from the edge of the box, with Rebrov making a fine save to tip the ball over the crossbar!
    • 13' Both managers are out on the touchline barking orders at their players, with the possession suddenly very scrappy.
    • 12' Jurado is having a storming match so far, and he produces another fine run to win a corner out on the left.
    • 11' STAT: Spartak have won just one of the last 15 Champions League home games (W1 D5 L9).
    • 9' Benfica are slowly getting into this match at last as Pereira and Garay keep the ball at the back.
    • 8' Makeev does well to shepherd a dangerous through ball away from Rodrigo as Rebrov collects it.
    • 7' Perez quickly concedes a free kick himself as he mistimes a challenge on Carioca.
    • 6' Kallstrom is penalised for a niggly foul on Perez, and Benfica have a free kick on halfway now.
    • 5' What a start this is from Spartak, with Benfica still firmly on the back foot.
    • 3' GOAL! Rafael Carioca puts Spartak into the lead in just the third minute as he flies forward to finish coolly after a slick counter-attack from the hosts with Jurado applying the final pass. It's a fine start rom the hosts!
    • 2' Good save by Artur! Bilyaletdinov ghosts into the box to meet a decent cross from Ari, but Artur palms away his header at the near post!
    • 1' The first half is under way in Moscow, and it really is bitterly, bitterly cold. The hosts keep the ball in their half early on.
    • 16:55 Right, we're just five minutes from kick-off now at a freezing Luzhniki Stadium, and it's time for you to post with your pre-match predictions for the scoreline... who do you think will win this match? Get in touch via Twitter @Dan_Eurosport

    • 16:10 Jorge Jesus (Benfica): "We are facing an opponent who is motivated, and we could face difficulties due to the individual quality of some players of Spartak. Although we do not expect an easy match, Benfica will remain faithful to their identity. We will not run away from our ideas."

  14. If Spartak is to wake up, this would be the time. If they can beat Benfica home and away and have draws in the remaining matches then they can still qualify. They put a good fight with Barca earlier on, no reason they can't qualify if they put their back into it.
