    • - Thanks for joining us tonight. Do you think Chelsea can make it? A draw against Shakhtar will be enough for Juve. And is this the end for Roberto Di Matteo? Seems mad to suggest it but this is Abramovich we're talking about. Let me know on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport, and have a good night! FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • 90+4 The ref puts Chelsea out of their misery and Juve win 3-0, meaning Chelsea must beat the Danes in their last match, while Shakhtar - already through after their win - have to do the Blues a favour against Juve.
    • 90+3 Juve counter as Marchisio runs away. Chiellini has picked up an injury, a slight one as he walks away, but that's his night done.
    • 90+2 Giovinco is booked for stripping off in celebration.
    • 90+1 GOAL JUVENTUS! 3-0 as Cech rushes madly out of his box, even though Cole had the run on Giovinco, who slips a low finish into the empty net. 3-0.
    • 90' Giovinco is offside after expertly taking down a long ball from Bonucci. Looked on to me!
    • 89' JUVE SUB: Former Man Utd teenager Pogba replaces Quagliarella.
    • 88' Pirlo with a nice pass to Quagliarella, who looks wide to Giovinco, who wins a throw.
    • 87' Mata swings a high ball in, Buffon initially fumbles but he claims it at the second attempt.
    • 85' Luiz wins Chelsea a throw as they put some late pressure on Juve.
    • 84' Oscar has had a nightmare - Torres fed him brilliantly but the Brazilian was desperate to shift it on to his favoured right when he should have shot first time or fed a team-mate. He falls over instead.
    • 83' JUVE SUB: Vucinic comes off for Giovinco.
    • 82' Torres does well to win a corner, taken short and Oscar swings a terrible cross down Buffon's throat. Juve break but Ramires slides in to clear from Asamoah.
    • 81' Moses with a fine run down the right but his cross flashes off the fingers of Buffon and away for a throw on the left.
    • 80' Hazard sends a free-kick in but headed away and Buffon claims.
    • 79' Good covering by Caceres to block what would have been a corner, converting it to a throw.
    • 78' A Pirlo effort smashes into Ivanovic for another Juve corner.
    • 77' Hazard almost plays in Torres but blocked. It falls to Luiz, nice touch but a poor shot, well wide.
    • 76' Ramires with a heavy challenge on Chiellini as he brought it clear, a booking.
    • 75' The ball drops to Moses 30 yards out but his effort is blocked, now Ramires but cleared from him.
    • 74' SHOULD HAVE BEEN THREE! Vucinic spoons it over the far from 12 yards after a fine low cross by Caceres.
    • 73' Juve are happy to slow things down now and dictate the tempo of this match once more. This has been an excellent performance from the Italian leaders and champions.
    • 72' Cole gives it away but, after trading passes with Quagliarella, Vucinic drills one well wide.
    • 71' CHELSEA SUB: Torres comes on for Mikel as Chelsea go from a 4-6-0 to 4-3-3.
    • 70' Mikel feeds Hazard on the edge of the box but he struggles to get a shot away. Now Mata on it, Hazard shoots but blocked.
    • 69' Chelsea with the ball now, a rare occurence in recent times. Knocking it about nicely enough as they switch left to right.
    • 68' Acrobatic clearance from Luiz as Juve pile it on, looking for a third...
    • 67 JUVE SUB: Well, it's Juve who move first as Lichtsteiner - an attacking full-back if there ever was one - is replaced by Martin Caceres, a centre-back really.
    • 66' Chelsea have a corner but easy meat for Buffon to pluck out of the air. Surely a Chelsea change soon?
    • 64' Torres is warming up - but will he be used? Seems a bit late now but anything can happen...
    • 63' Oscar almost backheels it to Hazard but Juve clear. Home fans having fun now.
    • 62' This looks too much for Chelsea now. Knowing Abramovich, one wouldn't be surprised to see a new boss in charge of the Blues by the weekend.
    • 61' GOAL JUVENTUS! Vidal drills a low finish through Cech via another deflection, Ramires this time. More bad fortune for Chelsea, but good play Asamoah and Vucinic in the build-up.
    • 60' CHELSEA SUB: Moses replaces Azpilicueta as they look for a more conventional winger.
    • 59' The Quag springs the offside trap, looked off to me but Luiz is left stranded and he must score but Cech races out to force him wide, making the angle tight and batting it away for a corner.
    • 59' Pirlo will take the corner, high on to Chiellini's head but Oscar hoofs clear.
    • 58' JUST WIDE BY PIRLO! I think Cech got a touch there as the Italy man's long-range howitzer flew across. Corner.
    • 57' Good save by Cech after the Quag turns Cahill to shoot - Lichtsteiner wanted the pass though, he was unmarked!
    • 56' After that good spell for Chelsea, Juve are attacking in waves now. Fascinating game this.
    • 55' Shakhtar are 4-2 up now, which means they will go through. If Chelsea lose this, their future will not be in their hands.
    • 54' Chelsea break as Oscar plays in Mata on the left, now Hazard with a deep cross for Azpilicueta, who heads wide says the ref although he feels it came off Asamoah. He has a point.
    • 53' Chelsea attacking in waves now. Shakhtar, meanwhile, have gone 3-2 up after their shocking, collective bout of bad sportsmanship. Wonder if anything will come of that?
    • 52' Mata's shot flies straight into the wall. Azpilicueta comes forward now but Chiellini - who was not booked - clears. Chelsea are having a real go now!
    • 51' Chelsea break as Juve appeal and Mata cuts inside Chiellini on the edge of the box, who hacks him down! Should be a card, definitely a free-kick... Replay shows Vucinic made a meal of minimal contact, but Cahill was lucky!
    • 50 NO PENALTY JUVE! Cahill seemed to haul down Vucinic as he flicked it around him. How was that not a peno?
    • 49' Mata has struggled somewhat tonight as he gives it away again. Not enjoying the relative isolation.
    • 48' Vidal with a long shot that's again easy for Cech - they'll need big Quag deflections for those to beat him.
    • 47' Vucinic is onside after a nice ball from Lichtsteiner but, with team-mates lining up in the box, he elects to shoot and blasts it high and wide. Silly attempt.
    • 46' The second half is underway as Cole heads away a dangerous Asamoah cross.
    • - Juve fans reminding the English of their Roman heritage - "We have bidet" is the banner held aloft, as Italy lays claim to superior toilet facilities.
    • - STATS: Chelsea actually with slightly more of the possession, but much of that has been in their own half. Juve's eight shots on target to Chelsea's two is a more accurate representation, although Chelsea have had five go off target.
    • - Any views on that manic half, find me on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport. Obviously cannot guarantee a response, but fire away. FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • 45+1 Just the one minute of added time and the ref blows up a few seconds early. Juve lead 1-0, could be 3-3.
    • 45' Chelsea now playing it about as Juve sit deep. Ramires and Hazard exchange passes but Chiellini hooks it clear.
    • 44' Oscar wriggles into space on the edge of the box but he fires high and wide. Good play from Hazard in the build-up.
    • 43' Corner to Juventus on the right that Pirlo swings in but the ref sees a foul and Chelsea have it back.
    • 42' Marchisio shimmies away from Mikel to release Vucinic but Luiz is quick and takes it away for Chelsea. Now Lichtsteiner on the right but he can't get past Cole.
    • 41' Cynical from Bonucci as Mata was set to race away. Booking.
    • 40' ALMOST AN EQUALISER! Straight from that chance, Chelsea break and Hazard crosses for the unmarked Mata whose first-time finish is gathered by Buffon as the pair collide. Phew!
    • 39' OFF THE LINE BY COLE! Almost a second as Lichtsteiner's header beat Cech but somehow Cole flew across to flick it off the line!
    • 38' Pirlo had a dig from long range, Cech had it covered but it took a faint touch off Quagliarella, wrong-footing the keeper and going in off his left hand.
    • 37' GOAL JUVENTUS! Quagliarella claims it but it looked like he had no idea! Deflection at best.
    • 36' Quagliarella is down on halfway, injured... his knee it seems.
    • 35' Oscar springs the offside trap, he's in here but Bonucci and Buffon combine to block his shot and it's back with the keeper.
    • 34' Mikel intercepts, now Hazard on the run, flicking it wide to Oscar but his touch lets him down and Juve clear.
    • 33' Oscar tries to go it alone again but Juve double up on him and get it back.
    • 32' Juve asking all the questions here but a Chiellini cross is easy for Cech. Chelsea happy to do a defensive job and wait for the break.
    • 31' Meanwhile, Juve come close as Lichtsteiner again gets in down the right but Cahill blocks his cross.
    • 29' Well, follow those bizarre scenes in Copenhagen by clicking on the link. Our 'pals' at SkySports haven't done it justice in their commentary on the Chelsea game. FOLLOW IT HERE!
    • 28' Hearing some bizarre reports about the game between Shakhtar and FC Nordsjælland. The Danish side went ahead, and then Shakhtar's Adriano scandalously scored from a drop ball that a team-mate played towards the keeper; the ref ordered Shakhtar to let the Danes score from kick-off, but they refused and intercepted the run. However, the Danes scored anyway, a bona-fide goal to lead 2-1.
    • 27' Now Oscar is doing the backward roll thing but he'll be fine. Free-kick Chelsea on the right wing - Mata's ball straight to Buffon.
    • 26' Super skill by Oscar to beat one man and win a free-kick off Pirlo.
    • 25' Pirlo to take this then - but straight down Cech's throat and the keeper gathers to his chest.
    • 25' So, free-kick Juve on the edge of the box, between the D and the left-hand side, pure Pirlo... Waiting for the wall to align following Vidal's prang...
    • 24' Vidal is down injured, or rather pretending to be as we all know he'll be up in a second or two.
    • 23' Free-kick to Juve on the edge of the box as Ivanovic fouls Vidal after an error from Ramires, who failed to clear.
    • 22' Juventus come forward again as Marchisio turns Ramires before unleashing a low drive but again Cech reads it to claim easily.
    • 21' The Quag with another inventive effort from a tight angle on the right but he's not beating Cech from here, easy claim. Now a great challenge Bonucci as Hazard almost released Oscar.
    • 20' A promising Chelsea move breaks down as Mata overhits the through-ball to Hazard; Juve break but the Quag shoots from too far out, weak and at Cech.
    • 19' Lichtsteiner is playing like a bombarding right winger but is offside on that counter, although Cech got there first.
    • 18' Lucky break for Chiellini as his clearance hits Hazard and bounces just out for a throw. Could have gone anywhere.
    • 17' Ramires on a leggy run but is caught by Vidal. Taken short as Chelsea look to get some possession on the board.
    • 16' GREAT SAVE CECH AGAIN! Marchisio with a fine rising drive after a lovely short corner routine. Corner. This time Chelsea clear and the Quag kicks Azpilicueta in the face. Ow.
    • 15' Another corner for Juve as the Quag drives a low cross off Luiz. Good work from Pirlo, Vidal and Lichtsteiner in the build-up.
    • 14' Another Juve corner is cleared but this time Oscar can't go on a run and Juve come back at them.
    • 13' Pirlo to swing it out but headed away by Ivanovic. Azpilicueta is fouled by the Quag.
    • 12' Corner Juve won off Cole by Lichtsteiner, who urges the crowd to make some noise.
    • 11' A lot of joy for Juve on their left as Asamoah is caught just offside - odd, given Chelsea have two men covering right-back.
    • 10' I don't think that should have been a corner - Hazard played it through Buffon's legs but just missed it. Either way the corner amounts to nothing as a foul sees the ref blow up.
    • 9' SIDE NETTING! What a counter from Chelsea, fantastic run from Oscar, incredible from his own half and he slipped Hazard in on the right, one-on-one but Buffon got a touch. Corner.
    • 8' Chelsea play it out from the back but Ramires gives it away to Bonucci. Juve break but Chelsea have men back and clear.
    • 7' Ramires is tripped while surging forward and Chelsea have a free-kick and a chance to slow it down.
    • 6' The corner from Pirlo is flicked on by Chiellini but it swerves on to the roof of the net.
    • 5' Ivanovic with a shot from range but well off target. Juve break as the Quag and Vucinic combine, the cross from the Montenegrin deflected behind for a corner.
    • 4' WHAT A SAVE BY CECH! Fantastic move by Juve as Asamoah and Vucinic combine for the Montenegrin to put a cross flashed across goal for Lichtsteiner, but a huge save from the star-shaped Cech to bat it on to the post!
    • 3' A Luiz long ball almost releases Hazard but it skims off his head through to Buffon.
    • 2' Ivanovic slips and Asamoah can put the cross in but Vucinic's header is easy for Cech.
    • 1' So we can see Azpilicueta is playing on the right side of midfield with Ivanovic at right-back. A 4-6-0 then.
    • 1' The first half is underway!
    • 19:44 Teams are out and lining up as the Champions League anthem blares away.
    • 19:43 Lots of discussions about Chelsea's formation - @duresport is finding some of it amusing: "Watching Fox pregame show dissecting Chelsea's lineup. So Chelsea's in a 5-1-1-1-1-1?"
    • 19:42 @isaac884: "i know its gonna be difficult but chelsea all the way... 1-2"; @gregmacintyre7: "#CFC could do the job against Juve! False 9 worked for Spain instead of torress, maybe it will work for Chelsea." HAVE YOUR SAY ON TWITTER!
    • 19:41 @SamwellerSF: "Juve to beat Chelsea 3:1. I am a Chelsea man but..."; @micaeljohnstone: "can't wait to see how Bendtner plays. Oh wait..."; @incakolanews: "WmHill got it right I think. Juve in must win home game vs slightly depleted CFC are faves here. Put me down for 2-0 or 3-1" HAVE YOUR SAY ON TWITTER!
    • 19:40 @IlyasDonxQuinte: "actually what is #CFC current formation rite now" - no-one knows if it's a 5-5-0 or a 4-6-0. Obviously the '0' signifies that there are three attacking midfielders and no outright striker, although we expect Hazard and Mata to trade that role with Oscar roaming behind and Ramires and Mikel sitting deep. The question is whether Azpilicueta is a wing-back in a five, or a wide midfielder with Ivanovic at right-back. FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • 19:35 Tonight's referee is Cuneyt Cakir of Turkey. He has reffed three Champions League games and one World Cup qualifier this season, showing 22 yellows and two reds. Likes a card then. Only one penalty though, to England against Ukraine.
    • 19:30 FACT: Chelsea have won just one of their last six Champions League games against Italian opposition (W1 D2 L3). The Blues have only won one of their 11 European games away from home in Italy (W1 D 5 L5).
    • 19:25 FACT: Juventus have won just one of their last 14 games in Europe against English opposition (W1 D6 L7) including one defeat and two draws with Chelsea. Juventus are unbeaten in their last five home games against English opposition, but four of those have been draws.
    • 19:20 Here's the shake-up - if Chelsea and Shakhtar win tonight, they are through and it's Europa League for Juve. Any other results make it all rather complex and leave everyone in with a chance, even the Danish table-proppers. Group E standings and fixtures
    • 19:15 The bookies, such as William Hill, have Juve as clear favourites at 4/5, with Chelsea at 10/3. I think those are dangerously long odds on Chelsea, who we all know can pull out pretty much any result, at any venue. What are your predictions? Let me know on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport. FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • 19:10 So what do we make of Torres's absence? He has been in horrid form this season and it is surely the right call. There's no Daniel Sturridge due to injury so Lucas Piazon sneaks onto the bench. We are unsure whether Chelsea are 4-2-3-1 with Azpilicueta as an attacking midfielder, or 3-4-2-1 with the Spaniard and Cole as wing-backs.
    • 19:05 TEAMS: Juventus: Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah, Quagliarella, Vucinic. Subs: Storari, Caceres, Pogba, Pepe, Giaccherini, Giovinco, Matri. /// Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Cahill, Cole, Mikel, Ramires, Azpilicueta, Oscar, Mata, Hazard. Subs: Turnbull, Bertrand, Romeu, Marin, Torres, Piazon, Moses.
    • 19:00 Some big team news, and it is as reported: Chelsea drop Fernando Torres to the bench for the game in Turin. Eden Hazard starts as a false nine in attack. Full line-ups with you shortly.
    • 18:55 Roberto Di Matteo on Saturday's 'dressing-room bust-up': "It's important that we communicate with each other, and the players express themselves. I've always encouraged that. They need to have belief in themselves, and that's the most important aspect. That is not the first time there have been raised voices. We demand a lot from ourselves. Sometimes it is good. We all want to see a reaction."
    • 18:50 Speculation has been swirling about the future of Roberto Di Matteo and this is a huge game for the Italian after a poor run of form for the club. However, if Chelsea win tonight they are through to the knockout stages, while a draw would leave them a point ahead of Juve with one game remaining - a home fixture against Nordsjaelland. Defeat? Well, that would see them needing Shakhtar to defeat Juve on the final matchday.
    • 18:45 Hello and welcome to our live text commentary on the Champions League Group E clash between Juventus and Chelsea in Turin - one of the mostly highly anticipated matches taking place across the continent this week.
  • Summary

    • 90+1 GOAL JUVENTUS! 3-0 as Cech rushes madly out of his box, even though Cole had the run on Giovinco, who slips a low finish into the empty net. 3-0.
    • 74' SHOULD HAVE BEEN THREE! Vucinic spoons it over the far from 12 yards after a fine low cross by Caceres.
    • 61' GOAL JUVENTUS! Vidal drills a low finish through Cech via another deflection, Ramires this time. More bad fortune for Chelsea, but good play Asamoah and Vucinic in the build-up.
    • 59' The Quag springs the offside trap, looked off to me but Luiz is left stranded and he must score but Cech races out to force him wide, making the angle tight and batting it away for a corner.

    • 37' GOAL JUVENTUS! Quagliarella claims it but it looked like he had no idea! Deflection at best.
    • 35' Oscar springs the offside trap, he's in here but Bonucci and Buffon combine to block his shot and it's back with the keeper.
    • 16' GREAT SAVE CECH AGAIN! Marchisio with a fine rising drive after a lovely short corner routine. Corner. This time Chelsea clear and the Quag kicks Azpilicueta in the face. Ow.

  1. I Hate Italian Teams !

  2. Marco Marin is very good!!! Play him !!!

From Ali, on Wed 28 Nov 18:53
  3. Regarding our club's policies and we fan's impatient expectations, the fittest option for the replacement of De Mateo is Guardiola not Benitez.

From Amir, on Wed 21 Nov 19:01
  4. We blue fans have still in mind the memory of De mateo's brilliant appearance in the lineup of Lazio, Italy and Chelsea. He won us the first Champions League cup last year. But after all Roman Abramovic shouldn't has assigned too early him such a demanding job since the decent Italian wasn't proficient and experienced enough to bring back our team to peak days. In addition his tactical knowledge and managerial power is still far distant from perfection.

From Amir, on Wed 21 Nov 18:58
  5. Don't blame Roman for firing RDM. Honestly he had it coming, he had been riding his luck too long. He is not competent enough to be coaching a top level club. He lacks the tactical fortitude....He has not convinced in any game against quality opposition (Barcelona, Napoli, Manchester, Liverpool, Bayern, Atletico) his players through sheer will and determination have masked this fact for a while. When the team leaders are all gone(lampard, Terry, Drogba), tailspins and the team is on downward spiral. Come on now this guy should not have been more than an Interim coach. He rode his luck to the ground like thoroughbred racehorse and now we all know he is not up to par.

From iwannacracker, on Wed 21 Nov 14:33
  6. Maybe, just maybe he picked such a #$%$ lineup/formation because he knew he was getting sacked the next day. Ah well, another day another manager. Ever since the sporadic sacking of managers every half season, I've relegated myself from a Chelsea fan to casual observer of football matches. This only serves to reinforce that stance.

From Omonu, on Wed 21 Nov 14:02
  7. RDM practically collapsed the mid-field as soon as he removed Mikel...leaving only Ramires ...

From david, on Wed 21 Nov 12:14
  8. The owner has the money the manager has the knowledge the owner has a short memory the manager will go elsewhere and be welcomed. Perhaps if the owner wants to appoint a new manager rather than a puppet he should contact steve clarke

From Ingid, on Wed 21 Nov 11:10
  9. Opportunities are being wasted; hopes faded away; fans patience spilling over and Blues are still sliding down the table, yet no remedy or solution is thought of, no decision and amendment is made. De Mateo's mismanagement coupled by the arrogant, stupid performance of Torres, Luiz, Ramirez and Mikle are destroying Chelsea's prospects and reputation.

  11. Wake up Chelsea, you need John Terry very very badly.

From Johnny, on Wed 21 Nov 1:08
  12. The usual stupid and ignorant remarks from the anti Chelsea crowd., Chelsea fully deserved to win the CHAMPIONS League having beaten Barcelona and Munich, they are in the stage of rebuilding the team as Arsenal are doing and will be great again within two years. Torres and Sturridge must go, two top defenders and two forwards will bring the results needed ,a big mistake the club made was to sell Alex who is a good defender, there is no one to fill Terry's place while he is injured. I have followed football since 1945 when it was a joy to watch the game, now the standard of football has declined as has education hence the comments given are from low mentality persons which is not surprising these days.
