    Time:90'
    • Juventus
    • Shakhtar Donetsk
    • 90+4' The referee brings this scintillating game to an end. Thank you for joining us tonight. See you next time.
    • 90+3' CHANCE!! CROSSBAR!! The ball falls to Willian on the edge of he area. His first effort comes of Chiellini but he has another stab at it and rattles the crossbar from 10 yards. What a great chance to win the game right at the death.
    • 90+1' We will have three minutes of stoppage time.
    • 90' Ilsinho is booked for pulling the shirt of Quagliarella. Needless foul and this will give the centre-halves a chance to crowd the box.
    • 89' Mkhitaryan finds a little space on the right of the Shakhtar penalty and takes one touch before dragging a poor shot wide of the goal. Down the other end, Chiellini breaks and looks to find Lichtsteiner but the ball is overhit and goes out for a goal kick.
    • 88' Juventus win the ball back and look to push forward in numbers. Pogba's touch is poor which allows for Fernandinho to come foward and smash it down field.
    • 87' Shakhtar are very close to a big point here but they are pushing up high and are in search of a winning goal. Bold stuff from the visitors.
    • 86' Kucher is currently retrieving some treatment on the touchline. Replays show that he took a bit of a flick to the face from Marchision. Not sure it was intentional.
    • 85' Paul Pogba does indeed come on and replaces Arturo Vidal, who looks a little disappointed not to have made more of an impact tonight.
    • 84' Former Manchester United man Paul Pogba looks to be warming up on the touchline. Luiz Adriano wins a free kick on the edge of the penalt area as Bonucci climbs all over him.
    • 83' Ilsinho replaces Alex Texeira in a like-for-like change.
    • 82' CHANCE!! Willian orchestrates another counter for the visitors. He first plays it across to Mkhitaryan but the winger runs straight into Bonucci. The ball runs free which allows for Willian to run onto the ball and whip it towards goal. Buffon is beaten and it brushes the near post. So close.
    • 80' The game has turned a little scrappy over the last few minutes. It’s getting to that time of the match where nobody will want to concede. You can’t help feel that there’s going to be at least one more big chance, though.
    • 79' Bonucci loses control of the ball on the edge of his box. Asamoah regains the ball, flicks it up into the air and then acrobatically clears. Great defending.
    • 77' Another ridiculous decision from the referee. Giovinco clatters into Fernandinho but doesn't give a foul. The Shakhtar man then questions the referee's decision before the whistle is finally blown. Drop ball, apparently.
    • 76' Tomas Hubschman goes into the book. He is penalised for a handball but the ball ricochets off his thigh before striking the forearm. It is very harsh.
    • 75' It is the Ukrainian champions who are enjoying a spell of possession now. Every time the hosts lose the ball there is a huge groan from the crowd.
    • 74' CHANCE AGAIN! Mkhitaryan goes close once again. A lofted ball is sent up to Luiz Adriano who chests the ball down superbly. With his back to goal he rolls the ball into the path of the winger. He side foots it wide of the left post and Buffon looked beaten...
    • 73' CHANCE!! Decent save from Buffon. Srna is the man to take the free kick and drills it over the wall and down in time to test Buffon. The keeper palms it away to safety.
    • 72' Chiellini follows Lichtsteiner into the referees book. Willian bursts down the centre of the pitch, beats the big defender once but he doesn't give up and finally drags the Shakhtar man down.
    • 70' WHAT A CHANCE!! Vidal links up well with Lichtsteiner down the right. The full-back drags the ball inside and then plays a delightful ball across the face of the goal. Nobody gambles and it flies wide.
    • 69' Suddenly there is uproar in the stadium. Marchision runs into Fernandinho on the very edge of the Shakhtar penalty area. The Italian hits the deck and demands a penalty but there really was nowhere for Fernandinho to go. Not a penalty for me...
    • 68' We’re into the final quarter of the match and, judging on the way this second half has gone so far, you’d say that Juventus are favourites here, but you can never write off Shakhtar.
    • 67' OOOOH!! Rakitskiy and Giovinco go in for a 50/50 and there is only ever going to be one winner. The little Italian gets up fine, but his pride may be dented.
    • 66' The much travelled Quagliaella has been known for moments of magic throughout his career and the home side will be hoping he can bring a bit of that to the game during these last 25 minutes.
    • 65' That fall will be Matri's last bit of action tonight. He is replaced by Fabio Guagliarella
    • 64' Pirlo finds Matri with another wonderful ball. The striker challenges Kucher for the ball in the box and falls very theatrically. Never a penalty.
    • 63' Shakhtar still have the ball after Willian’s great work. It’s a lovely spell of football and the home crowd are really making noise, urging the hosts to gain back possession.
    • 62' Willian does superbly well to firstly dispossess Giovinco and then get his team high up the field. He runs a good fort yards with the ball, shrugs off a number of challenges and then switches play. Brilliant.
    • 61' CHANCE FOR JUVE NOW!! The sub Giovinco flies down the left, beats Srna and then whips the ball into the penalty area. Matri gets there first and looks to lift it over Pyatov but loops it over the bar.
    • 60' CHANCE!! SO CLOSE FOR SHAKHTAR!! Rakitskiy surges forward, plays the ball into the path of Mkhitaryan who swivels and then rolls it back to Willian. The Brazilian side foots is narrowly wide of the right post.
    • 59' Mirko Vucinic is withdrawn as Sebastian Giovinco is brought on.
    • 58' Marchisio looks to be in some discomfort on the floor. He appears to have been caught by Rakitskiy. The Shakhtar man did win the ball, though.
    • 56' Willian breaks down the left and flicks the ball past the trailing foot of Bonucci. He cuts the ball back on the touchline but the assistant referee signals that the ball has gone out of play. It didn't.
    • 55' Matri controls the ball well on the edge of the penalty area and flicks it over his head onto the chest of Marchisio, who attempts to juggle it. Rat volleys clear.
    • 54' Chiellini again surged forward from the back. He takes the ball out of the air on his stronger left foot, takes a touch and then has a speculative effort on goal. Fernandinho blocks it well for a corner.
    • 53' The visiting side are trying to get a feel for the ball again. They haven’t seen it at all so far in these opening minutes of the second half. Willian drops deep to try and get something going for his team.
    • 52' Lichtsteiner finds some space deep down the right and receives the ball. He drops his shoulder and looks to cross but doesn’t catch the ball well. It flies out of play but only narrowly wide of Pyatov’s left post.
    • 51' It’s been a better opening few minutes for the hosts. They’ve started brightly and positively and have seen most of the ball so far. The crowd are responding well.
    • 50' Vidal dwells on the ball far too long deep into his own half and is dispossessed by Rat. Pirlo is back to defend and hoofs the ball clear.
    • 49' Vidal dwells on the ball far too long deep into his own half and is dispossessed by Rat. Pirlo is back to defend and hoofs the ball clear.
    • 48' The home side earn a corner straight away. Pirlo lofts it high into the box but Pyatov is off his line in a flash to punch clear.
    • 47' I wonder what Juventus we will see in this second half. They took an age to get into the game but were jolted into life following Bonucci's cracker of a goal.
    • 46' The second half is under way.
    • 45+1' The referee brings a pulsating half to an end.
    • 45' CHANCE FOR JUVENTUS!! Bonucci nearly puts the hosts in front. Pirlo's whippped corner finds the head of the defender. Pyatov saves well with his feet but doesn't look like he knew a great deal about it.
    • 44' Asamoah finally beats his man and finds some space down the left. He ges to the byline and drills it into the box. Kucher puts it out for a corner.
    • 43' Lichtsteiner could well have been sent off for that earlier pull on Willian that should have been a penalty. He'll have to play the second half on his very best behaviour, I'm sure.
    • 42' Pirlo's corner is more conventional this time but it's not quite effective. It's cleared and Shakhtar look to clear. Lichtsteiner pulls down Willian and is booked for doing so.
    • 41' For the first few consecutive minutes of the game, Shakhtar have been on the back foot. Vidal swings the ball into the box from the left as he aims for Lichtsteiner. Kucher climbs high and heads away.
    • 40' There has been some rather poor officiating so far tonight. Luiz Adriano is adjudged offside but, once again, replays show is was onside.
    • 39' Vucinic intercepts a pass and looks to burst into the Shakhtar penalty area but the touch is heavy and Pyatov is off his line quiclkly to snatch the ball away.
    • 38' The home side enjoy a short spell of possession and display some fluent passing. Pirlo is instrumental as the ball is played to the feet of Marchisio who smashes the ball high and wide from 25 yards. Not his best effort.
    • 37' This has looked like a training exercise at times tonight. Juve just haven’t been able to play their usual game as of yet. Shakhtar have won the last 25 games in all competitions and you wouldn’t put it past them adding to that tonight.
    • 36' Juventus get the ball back and it is played across the back three before going back further again to Buffon. The keeper is put under pressure from Luiz Adriano and skews his right-footed clearance out of play.
    • 35' The home crowd continue to make their feelings known as the team in bright orange keep hold of the ball. Srna pulls the ball back from the byline but it eludes everybody.
    • 34' We’ve not seen a great deal from Lichtsteiner or Asamoah as of yet. The two full-backs that have caused more damage have been the two from the Ukrainian side. As I say that, Lichtsteiner bursts down the wing and plays the ball onto the penalty spot but it is volleyed deep down field.
    • 32' Again, the visitors are playing high. Willian drops a shoulder, throws a step over and then jinks past the challenge of Vidal befoe sliding in Rat down the left. The full back swings in a cross but Chiellini heads away.
    • 31' That shot really had some pace on it. If it were either side of the keeper then he'd have been struggling. This is still end-to-end stuff...
    • 30' CHANCE!! Bonucci plays Vidal through on goal but Rat is on hand to make a well-timed sliding challenge. The ball falls to Matri, though, and the striker wallops a shot straight into the hands of the grateful Pyatov.
    • 29' Shakhtar have controlled the last few minutes following that Juventus goal. The home crowd are really making themselves heard and the noise throughout the stadium is deafening.
    • 28' This has been a quite magical opening half an hour to this game. It has had everything in it and you wouldn’t bet against a few more goals here tonight.
    • 27' That was right off the training ground. It was a wonderfully-worked set piece. It’s hard to believe that Bonucci is a centre-half judging by the finishing prowess he displayed there. Unbelievable.
    • 26' GOAL!! Juventus are level. Out of nowhere. Pirlo pulls the ball back across the penalty area from the corner flag and Bonucci shows unbelievable technique to rifle the ball into the top right-hand corner.
    • 24' Juve surge forward from the kick off. The ball finds its way to Pirlo and the midfielder lofts a ball into the penalty area. Bonucci is up highest but the ball is cleared for a corner.
    • 23' GOAL! Shakhtar score. You have to say they deserve it. They’ve given the hosts a footballing lesson so far. The Ukrainians look to break with menace and work the ball from right to left. The build-up is fantastic as Willian fires a snap-shot at goal from 18 yards. It’s blocked but the Brazilian composes himself to slide the ball across into the path of Texeira who takes one touch before smashing it high into the roof of the net.
    • 21' Juve currently have all 11 men in their own half. Shakhtar are playing high in their opposition’s half. They’ve had the better of possession so far but will want to be careful playing so far up the pitch.
    • 20' Fernandinho attemps a Pirlo-esque ball in the hope of finding the marauding Rat. Luiz Adriano gives up on it as he thinks his team mate will be unable to keep the ball in play. Rat does so, acrobatically, but there’s nobody around in support and Buffon claims.
    • 19' CHANCE!! Super football from the Italians. Pirlo spots the diagonal run of Marchisio and plays him in with a lobbed ball. The striker beats the covering defender to the ball but lashes his half-volley over the bar from a tight angle.
    • 18' Chiellini advances up the pitch and plays a one-two with Pirlo befoe being dragged down halfway into the Shakhtar half.
    • 17’ Great run from Texeira. Somehow he manages to wriggle through about four challenged on the edge of the Juventus penalty area and nearly beats Buffon to the ball but the experienced keeper claims it.
    • 16' Shakhtar really are playing with real confidence here. They’ve looked the most comfortable on the ball and should be leading.
    • 15' CHANCE!! Juve nearly score through Matri. Vucinic drills a wonderful ball onto the edge of the six yard box and Matri lunges at it. He gets the first touch but it takes a deflection and flashes inches wide of the post.
    • 13' SHOULD BE A PENALTY! Mkhitaryan bursts down the right and swings in a lovely ball. Lichtsteiner is back in his own box and hauls down Willian. Nothing is given, though.
    • 12' Pirlo dinks a lovely ball over the top for Vucinic to chase. The assistant referee takes a while to hold up his flag. The Juve man is visibly irritated at the call and, upon watching the replay, his is miles onside. In his own half.
    • 11' Pirlo cuts the ball out well in the middle of the park and plays in Asamoah down the wing but the full-back overruns the ball and is dispossessed.
    • 10' Pirlo cuts the ball out well in the middle of the park and plays in Asamoah down the wing but the full-back overruns the ball and is dispossessed.
    • 9' The visitors have seen the majority of the ball in these opening nine minutes. Fernandinho looks in a little bit of trouble facing his own goal but Marchisio commits a needless foul.
    • 8' Mkhitaryan has scored 15 goals in 13 games this season and really should have added to his tally there. He'll be disappointed and that just illustrates that the Ukrainians cannot be underestimated tonight.
    • 6' CHANCE!! Great chance for the visitors. Willian plays a revers ball down the left which allows Rat to play a splendid ball across the six yad box. Henrik Mkhitaryan arrives late at the far post and should score but puts it over under pressure from Chiellini.
    • 5' Rat, Fernandinho and Willian exchange a number of short, sharp passes before the latter sloppily plays the ball straight into touch. Poor stuff deep in the Juve half.
    • 4' Pirlo, facing his own goal in between his own area and the half-way line, somehow manages to play a quite stunning ball around the corner into the path of Lichtsteiner but Rat does well to cut it out.
    • 3' Yaroslav Rakitskiy has a pop at goal from a free kick around forty yards out. He has the capability to produce such brilliance but the ball finds the foot of the wall.
    • 2' Andrea Pirlo gives away the first free kick of the evening. He barges into the back of Willian and the referee blows his whistle. The home fans don’t like the decision but it was definitely a foul.
    • 1' Dutch referee Bas Nijhuis blows the whistle to get the game underway. The visitors kick off.
    • 19:42 Gianluigi Buffon, who is still searching for his first Champions League winner’s medal, leads Juventus out. Darijo Srna proudly walks out his side in this wonderful arena.
    • 19:40 Feel free to get in touch throughout this game letting me know of your thoughts of how it's is going to pan out. Leave me a comment in the section at the bottom of the page and I'll try to respond whenever I can.
    • 19:35 Shakhtar’s manager Mircea Lucescu has faced Juventus on nine separate occasions during a spell in Italy as coach of sides AC Pisa, Brescia Calcio, AC Reggiana and, most notably, Internazionale. His record in those nine games is not great, though. His sides’ only victory came in Brescia’s 2-0 home win in 1994. The other eight games were split with four draws and four defeats.
    • 19:30 The team known as the miners – or Hirnyky, if you speak Ukrainian – were victorious on their most recent visit to Italy. They again conquered AS Roma, this time with a score of 3-2, during the 2010/11 Champions League round of 16.
    • 19:25 The 2011/12 Ukrainian double winners have struggled against Italian opposition in the past – so much so that they had to wait until their eighth fixture against Italian teams to claim their first victory. That was in the 2006/07 group stage as they edged out AS Roma 1-0 in Donetsk.
    • 19:20 Juventus: Buffon, Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, Lichtsteiner, Marchisio, Pirlo, Asamoah, Vidal, Vučinić, Matri SUBS: Storari, Lúcio, Cáceres, Pogba, Giaccherini, Giovinco, Quagliarella ///Shakhtar: Pyatov, Kucher, Raţ, Rakitskiy, Hübschman, Fernandinho, Willian, Alex Teixeira, Srna, Luiz Adriano, Mkhitaryan SUBS Kanibolotskiy, Shevchuk, Stepanenko, Kobin, Gai, Ilsinho, Eduardo.
    • 19:20 The Old Lady’s record against Ukrainian opposition stands them in good stead for the match tonight – winning three out of four matches. They overcame Dynamo Kiev 5-2 on aggregate in the 1997/98 Champions League quarter-final after drawing their home leg 1-1. The two were drawn together again in the 2002/2003 group stage. Juventus emphatically beat Kiev 5-0 at home and 2-1 away.
    • 19:15 Shakhtar line up in a 4-5-1 formation. Manager Mircea Lucescu will be hoping that the five across the middle will be enough to cope with the attacking threat of Juve. They'll be looking to catch the Italians on the break with Luiz Adriano the lone striker. He could be in for a tough night up against the trio of Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli.
    • 19:10 The hosts have opted to start with three at the back which will see attacking full-backs Stephan Lichtsteiner and Kwadwo Asamoah feature further up the field in support of the three midfielders and the two forwards Mirko Vucinic and Alessandro Matri.
    • 19:05 Shakhtar: Andriy Pyatov, Tomáš Hübschman, Olexandr Kucher, Fernandinho, Luiz Adriano, Willian, Henrik Mkhitaryan, Răzvan Raţ, Alex Teixeira, Darijo Srna, Yaroslav Rakitskiy. SUBS...Anton Kanibolotskiy, Taras Stepanenko, Eduardo, Vyacheslav Shevchuk, Vasyl Kobin, Olexiy Gai, Ilsinho
    • 19:05 The teams are in. Juventus: Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini, Claudio Marchisio, Mirko Vučinić, Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Pirlo, Kwadwo Asamoah, Arturo Vidal, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Alessandro Matri. SUBS...Marco Storari, Lúcio, Martín Cáceres, Paul Pogba, Sebastian Giovinco, Emanuele Giaccherini, Fabio Quagliarella
    • 19:00 These two teams have only met on one previous occasion and it was in the third round of the 1976/77 UEFA Cup. It was the Italians that progressed with a 3-0 victory at home that saw them overturn a 1-0 deficit following defeat in Donetsk.
    • 18:55 Shakhtar secured a 2-0 victory over Danish minnows FC Nordsjælland in their opening Group E match so will head into this match believing they can upset the Italian champions.
    • 18:50 Juventus currently lie two points behind tonight’s opponents following their 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on matchday one. They did come back from 2-0 down against the Blues, however, so will be confident of taking all three points this evening.
    • 18:45 Good evening and welcome to our LIVE coverage of Juventus’ Champions League Group E match against Shakhtar Donetsk at the Juventus Stadium in Turin.
