    • 90+3' Full-time! It's victory for PSG but that late Ramis goal and Ibrahimovic's stoppage-time red card means it won't be plain sailing for the French side in Paris.
    • 90+2' RED CARD FOR IBRAHIMOVIC! Studs up on a tackle and he's gone! Means little now but PSG will be without Zlatan or Verratti in the second leg.
    • 90+1' That at least gives them a little hope for the second leg that they can prey on PSG complacency.
    • 90' GOAL VALENCIA! PSG switch off at the end and Rami escapes his marker to convert a free-kick from close range. 1-2!
    • 89' Final change for PSG sees Pastore make way for Sylvain Armand.
    • 88' Soldado surges down the left and crosses low for Valdez, who cannot control the rapid ball in to his feet. Doesn't look like it's going to be Valencia's night at all.
    • 87' Costa's delivery bypasses the crowded area and forces Sirigu to parry.
    • 86' Verratti fells Viera on the right and this is a useful free-kick for Valencia, who really need something from it.
    • 85' ANOTHER late goal at Celtic Park... Celtic v Juventus | Live | Score | Champions League 2012-2013 - Yahoo Eurosport UK
    • 84' Soldado sees his number come up and hands off the captain's armband. Then they realise they meant to put up 8, not 9. He gets the armband back and Feghouli makes way for Viera.
    • 83' Pablo Piatti had been warming up for some time to be Valencia's third and final change but it now looks like the less expeirenced Jonathan Viera will be coming on.
    • 82' Ibrahimovic almost forces an error inside the Valencia 'D' but the Spaniards play their way out of a pickle.
    • 81' Valdez gets in the way of Canales' cross attempt.
    • 80' It's 2-0 in Glasgow: Celtic v Juventus | Live | Score | Champions League 2012-2013 - Yahoo Eurosport UK
    • 79' Canales makes the same mistake from the same position moments later with the ball on the bounce.
    • 78' Guardado breezes past Chantome on the left but overhits the cross. Goal kick.
    • 76' Second PSG change sees Lavezzi come off for Jeremy Menez.
    • 75' Diagonal ball long into the box from Tino Costa finds Valdez, who beats Alex with his first touch but fires into side netting at an angle. Big chance that.
    • 74' Ibrahimovic decides to go for goal from a 30-yard free-kick, but doesn't come anywhere near the target.
    • 73' Shouts for a penalty as Soldado goes down in the box. The official tells him to get up.
    • 72' Another give and go sets up Ibrahimovic to strike again from eight yards. Guaita saves but the defenders make a hash of getting it away allowing Jallet to tap home.... no, he was coming back from an offside position. No third goal.
    • 70' Canales cross from the left headed away by Alex after more Valencia possession in harmless areas.
    • 69' Feghouli puts a 25-yard effort into Row Z.
    • 68' Offside against Lavezzi in the French side's latest attempt to catch Valencia napping at the back.
    • 67' Feghouli crosses but Sirigu takes it before Soldado can convert.
    • 65' The momentum has swing in spells during this game and this is definitely PSG's time. Another quick break sees Ibrahimovic one-two with Lavezzi, whose ball back for the Swede is just overhit enough for Guaita to rush out and block the eventual Ibra strike.
    • 64' Lavezzi has yet another shot closed down moments later.
    • 63' Verratti is brought down and a quick free-kick puts Lavezzi through... he gets the beating of Rami but again shanks the shot, this time with no excuse of not seeing it coming, and it is straight at Guaita.
    • 62' PSG are straight forward from that wasted chance and Ibrahimovic cuts inside Pereira on the left to have a low drive parried by Guaita... it falls to Lavezzi in front of goal! But he can't react in time and ends up hitting wide of the open goal!
    • 61' Tino Costa picks out Soldado's run perfectly with a ball forward but the striker's touch takes him away from goal.
    • 60' Chantome wins possession in the Valencia final third but with no support he has to come backwards to keep the ball.
    • 58' Maxwell's delivery is headed clear by Ricardo Costa.
    • 57' PSG finally launch a breakaway and Lavezzi is fouled by Pereira on the left wing.
    • 56' Feghouli's ball inside to Soldado is cut out before Costa's fierce drive is deflected behind for another Valencia corner. The pressure continues.
    • 55' The ref immediately blows up as Costa's ball comes into the danger zone though. Free-kick PSG for a shove somewhere in there.
    • 54' Guardado holds up play by the left-hand corner flag and lures a foul.
    • 53' Curious early change from PSG now as Lucas makes way for Clement Chantome. Lucas was looking good but did take an early bump and with a 2-0 lead, the defensive change-up makes sense in that respect.
    • 52' Valdez helps win another two corners from the initial one, the second a header which had to be tipped over, but the third delivery towards Soldado at the far post is too much for him to nod across goal.
    • 51' Corner Valencia. This is a bright start to the half.
    • 50' @olababmo thinks Valencia need to pull this back tonight, or else that's all she wrote: "Valencia have a moutain to climb otherwise, they have crashed out of the competition before the second leg" - get involved by following @liamhappe
    • 48' Valencia are starting the half once again with plenty of strong possession.
    • 47' A double change at the break from the hosts, with Jonas and Banega making way for Nelson Valdez and Sergio Canales.
    • 46' We're back underway in the second half with Valencia trailing at home, 2-0.
    • 45+3' Half-time and PSG will be very pleased with their first quarter of this last-16 tie. They're 2-0 up away to Valencia. Can the Liga side pull the deficit back? Let me know what you think via Twitter @liamhappe
    • 45+2' For some reason Valencia play the corner short and can only win another corner. It's not like they're 1-0 up at the end of the second half.
    • 45+1' The free-kick has been put behind for a corner.
    • 45' Two minutes have been added on.
    • 44' Pereira lures a free-kick off Pastore right near the right-hand corner flag.
    • 43' The finish made a mockery of Guaita, went right through him.
    • 42' GOAL! PSG double their lead as again Valencia are found to be creaky at the back and Lucas squares for Pastore to fire home. 0-2!
    • 40' Feghouli plays a one-two with Jonas which works very well until they run into that brick wall that is the PSG back line on the edge of the box.
    • 38' Valencia ping the ball around with purpose themselves but fall prey to a counter which sees Lavezzi have a cross blocked.
    • 37' Another nice passage of possession from the Parisians leads to Pastore turning inside Guardado and teeing up Lavezzi for a low drive saved by Guaita.
    • 36' Jonas gets his head to the cross but it's well over.
    • 35' Valencia win a free-kick on the right flank. Costa will take.
    • 33' For Verratti that means he will miss the second leg.
    • 32' Italian ref Paolo Tagliavento books both Pereira and Verrati for the shoving contest.
    • 31' Tempers flare as Lavezzi is down hurt from a challenge by Costa, leading to Verrati and Pereira arguing over putting the ball out or not.
    • 30' Jonas is flagged offside as the home side look to end this latest purple patch from their guests.
    • 28' Maxwell almost gets into the box on the overlap with a superb bit of skill, but Pereira helps out Rami to recover the ball.
    • 27' Great pace from Lucas to ghost past two white shirts before having a shot saved low at the near post.
    • 26' Here come the visitors again, but after Ibrahimovic's cross misses those in the six-yard area, Lucas sends the loose ball high and wide.
    • 25' Valencia are well and truly on top now but PSG have been defending excellently and made those two big bursts forward count with one goal and one off the post.
    • 23' Jonas on the follow-up fires off target.
    • 22' Banega does well to get to the left-hand by-line but his cutback is kept from a Soldado tap-in by Sakho.
    • 21' Parejo has less luck with a looping early delivery, which goes too deep and is easy pickings for Sirigu.
    • 20' Dangerous low ball in from the right by Parejo and this time Jallet has to come inside to clear. Almost the first breach of the Alex-Sakho security force.
    • 19' The Spaniards win possession in the PSG final third and Sirigu is off his line... but Soldado makes an absolute hash of his effort and it's out for a throw rather than lobbing the keeper.
    • 18' Valencia responding well to being behind so early but the two centre-backs for PSG are dealing with everything so far.
    • 17' Feghouli is lively tonight. He beats Pastore and puts in a low cross which Sakho gets away.
    • 15' Banega tries to slip Soldado through but there's far too much behind the pass. Sirigu claims.
    • 14' Alex heads away a raking ball forward by Guardado.
    • 13' Corner is cleared by Lucas until Lavezzi fails to play his way out of danger. The home side have another flag kick, but Soldado fouls Sirigu as the ball comes over.
    • 12' Stretcher comes out for Sakho who stays down after the interception but he doesn't need it.
    • 11' Valencia come straight forward from the restart and Sakho comes across Soldado bravely to head out for a corner.
    • 10' GOAL! PSG follow up their first real attacks of the match with the opener as Lavezzi squeaks through the defence and lashes home a superb finish across Guaita. 0-1!
    • 9' LUCAS! 25-yard drive off the post!
    • 8' PSG burst forward in a rare break from some good possession from the hosts but can't get a ball into the box.
    • 7' David Beckham is sat up with Leonardo, by the way. He won't make his PSG debut just yet.
    • 6' There's been a goal already in the other CL match at Celtic Park... Celtic v Juventus | Live | Score | Champions League 2012-2013 - Yahoo Eurosport UK
    • 5' Lavezzi takes the ball forward but takes too long to pick out a team-mate and is dispossessed by makeshift left-back Guardado, who is then fouled by the Argentine.
    • 4' Lucas is back on the pitch and looks fine to continue.
    • 3' Valencia sportingly give possession back and play resumes.
    • 2' With just over a minute on the clock, PSG play the ball out having withstood some early pressure as Lucas is down hurt.
    • 1' Valencia kick off the first half, here we go!
    • 19:45 The teams are on the pitch and we're almost ready to kick off. @ironcub14 is the first reader to get involved with a prediction via Twitter: "Amunt Valencia~ looking forward to a 2-0 home win, we'll keep Ibra n Lavezzi quiet." - Want to get published too? • 19:40 Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the top assist provider in the Champions League this season (5).
    • 19:35 Roberto Soldado has scored 14 goals in his last 14 Champions League starts.
    • 19:30 PSG have conceded at least two goals in six of their last seven competitive games against Spanish sides but they have lost only two of their last six competitive away games in Spain, winning three (against Real Madrid, Deportivo La Coruna and Sevilla) and drawing one.
    • 19:25 Valencia are unbeaten in their last nine games at the Mestalla in the Champions League (six wins, three draws), scoring 28 goals during that run.
    • 19:20 PSG hadn’t reached the knockout stages of the Champions League since 1994/95, but they've now won their last four Champions League games, the best run currently.
    • 19:15 Valencia have won all six of their encounters with French clubs in the Champions League (since 1992/93). Nantes are the only French club to beat Valencia in European competition over 90 minutes. It was back in April 1980 in the Cup Winners’ Cup semi-finals. Since then, Valencia have won 13 and drawn four of their competitive encounters with French clubs.
    • 19:10 This is the first ever competitive meeting between Valencia and PSG, believe it or not.

    • 19:00 Carlo Ancelotti (PSG): "We have a lot of players with speed. But our goal is to play football, not just to play on the counter attack. I think this will be a good test for us to evaluate the capacity we have to play our football and not just on the counter but with possession of the ball."
    • 18:55 Ernesto Valderde (Valencia): "What we want is to get through this tie, even though they are the favourites, and go into the quarter-finals. We won't settle for just giving a good show of ourselves. We aren't here to look good in defeat. We compete to win. They are a club who are pushing to become one of the biggest in Europe, but that doesn't mean anything. Over 180 minutes we will see what happens. I don't care that they are favourites. The key is in the game."

  2. Poor display by Valencia! No way that Zlatan red card was legitimate! By those standards, we should have at least one red on each and every match! If the studs are so freaking dangerous even when it lightly touches the leg protection, why is it even part of the game? Maybe it's high time to change the football boots?

  4. Wow! Valencia really do not have any forwards. This guy soldado, feghouli and jonas are useless andthat is; the team has no one else, there is no more forwards. They should convert guardado into a forward. I have never seena team with only 3 forwards, they are useless, but imagine if soldado gets hurt, that will be the endof th season. That is very stu-pid.
