    • 74' Izaguirre loses the ball out wide. Poor play by him. Has to get that ball across in those areas. Poor, poor stuff.
    • 73' Steven Mouyokolo does well to race back and head back to Forster in the visiting goal.
    • 72' Celtic down to 10 men as Forster comes to punch clear the delivery by the home side. Celtic look none too convincing at the back.
    • 71' Samaras is now off the park needing treatment. This night not going well for the away side.

    • 68' Izaguirre blatantly blocked off by a Shakhter shirt, but the referee waves play on.

    • 62' Some poor, poor stuff by Celtic at the back. Brown making his feelings known to the central defendes.
    • 61' Sergey Khizhnichenko just shoving Steven Mouyokolo off the ball without too much hassle. Forster saves a tame shot, but that is awful defending.
    • 60' Mulgrew manages to arrow a volley at goal, but he doesn't connect properly and the ball is safely back in the arms of Mokin.
    • 59' Commons breaks with some speed, but Izaguirre can't drift beyond the last man and Shakhter survive that moment.
    • 58' Brown then bundles over Canas. These are uncomfortable moments for Celtic. Do not want to lose another one.
    • 57' Van Dijk forced to wallop clear a ball inside his own box before Brown arrives to nod clear.
    • 56' Forrest with a timely clearance from another of these long throws. This side are a bit like a Stoke City under Tony Pulis wearing Dundee United tops.
    • 55' This side are far from silky, but they are awkward on this surface and they are giving it everything out there.
    • 54' Not the move convincing of clearances. Van Dijk threw a leg at it. Forster then punched clear before Celtic scramble it away.
    • 53' Van Dijk penalised for pulling back the shirt of Malyi out wide, and Shakhter will have the free-kick.
    • 52' Izaguirre leans back and lifts a shot over the bar from 12 yards. What a chance that was, but not taken.
    • 51' Forster doing just enough to come off his line and collect the ball ahead of Andrei Finonchenko. Celtic living so dangerously.

    • 43' Steven Mouyokolo has been booked for a late challenge on the goalscorer Andrei Finonchenko as Sergey Khizhnichenko drives a shot well wide of the goal.
    • 42' Or maybe one before the break as Mokin punches clear the Izaguirre cross. Brave goalkeeping.
    • 41' Lennon looking very animated on the touchline. Must be looking for a goal or two in this second half. They look well within Celtic's capabilities.
    • 40' Ledley has a go at goal from distance on the half volley, but lifts the ball well over the bar.
    • 39' Samaras takes a bit of tumble in the box from Brown's pass, but nothing doing in terms of a free-kick. Another goalkick to the home side.
    • 38' Celtic earn a corner, but Van Dijk ddemed to be guilty of a spot of pushing in winning the header. A free-kick to Shakhter.
    • 37' Canas brings down Forrest before Celtic are awarded another free-kick from 30 yards out.
    • 36' Another long throw comes flying into the area. But this time Van Dijk rises to head clear.
    • 35' Celtic with plenty of options on the bench. Beram Kayal and Amido Balde looking far from impressed so far this evening.
    • 34' The home side giving a masterclass in the art of high balls and long throw-ins. Celtic need to get more men up the park here. Chances are sure to come.
    • 33' Commons has another go at goal, but this time the orange shirts manage to block the route to goal.
    • 32' Samaras holding the ball up well for Celtic, and earns his side a throw-in out wide deep in home territory.
    • 31' Mokin with the ball in his own box. But Celtic back on the attack seconds later as Forrest fails to pick out Samaras with a cross. Lovely pass by Mulgrew to find Forrest on the run.
    • 30' The home side continue to go long, but they are having some success in winning these second balls. The Celtic assistant coach Johan Mjallby looking a bit concerned.
    • 29' Van Dijk again failing to win the first header from the throw-in and Lustig has to be alert to head behind his goal. Celtic not coping well with these long throw-ins.
    • 28' Samaras nods a couple of yards wide from Mulgrew's free-kick. Another golden chance for Celtic not taken.
    • 27' Samaras felled and Celtic have their own free-kick that they can toss into the home area.
    • 26' Serhiy Malyi heads over from 16 yards. Was a free header. Brown none too happy with Izaguirre closing down space out wide. Sloppy.
    • 25' Andrei Finonchenko taken out late by Brown with a late challenge. The home side have a free-kick here.
    • 24' Forrest slides the ball to Brown. Celtic look to bring it out from the back. The home side have hardly been seen so far apart from scoring that goal.
    • 23' Celtic need to be patient because this is a very tall home defence. Uncompromising as Samaras can't keep the ball in play running down the line out wide.
    • 22' Celtic being very patient. Happy to go backwards and forwards before Commons nods over the bar from Izaguirre's cross. Goalkick to Shakhter.
    • 21' Celtic continue to push and probe with the home side operating behind the ball. Celtic again on the ball and looking to keep it with some relish.
    • 20' Van Dijk well positioned with a timely clearing head from the Celtic defence. The home side playing with three at the back. They enjoy lifting the ball into the air. No doubt about that.
    • 19' Celtic have beaten Northern Ireland's Cliftonville FC 5-0 on aggregate before edging past IF Elfsborg of Sweden with a 1-0 win over the two legs to reach this stage of the competition.
    • 18' Commons sees a shot come back off the bar from distance. Not sure if that was over the line. What an effort from Commons from 30 yards out. So unfortunate. Celtic should be level at least here at 1-1.
    • 17' Andrei Finonchenko with a corner, but too long and Celtic can break here from deep. The Glasgow side really need to get moving in this Astana Arena.
    • 16' It was Joe Ledley who lost his man from the first throw for the goal, but Van Dijk was nowhere to be seen either in missing the first header. The home side on the move again here.
    • 15' Viktor Kumykov must be a happy coach at the moment after seeing his side storm into the lead before a very animated home support.
    • 14' Celtic look a better side than Shakhter, but they need to start turning pressure into goals here. An away goal would mean so much.
    • 13' Celtic moving the ball around again with some ease. Some fine play by Forrest. Not sure why Mulgrew never tried a shot at goal from distance there.
    • 12' First goal Celtic have conceded in Europe this season. Were well on top until that point. Need to regroup because this home side do not look great.
    • 11' GOAL! Andrei Finonchenko arrives to score from close range. Awful defending by the Celtic defence it must be said. Just a long throw and flick-on for the home man to net. Goodness knows what was happening there.
    • 10' Ball bounces up onto the hand of Steven Mouyokolo. Appeals for a penalty, but the referee says no.
    • 9' Mouyokolo wins the ball from Finonchenko after Forster made a mess of a clearance before Van Dijk wins a header in the heart of the Celtic defence.
    • 8' Commons unloads a shot from distance as the ball spins a few yards wide. A very impressive start here by the Glasgow team.
    • 7' Celtic keeping the ball well so far as Serhiy Malyi hammers the ball long from their own half. Celtic continue their forward momentum. Some neat possession football.
    • 6' Shakhter have already raised eyebrows during their run to the play-offs thanks to an unexpected win against FC BATE Borisov in the second qualifying round. Viktor Kumykov's men can draw additional encouragement from a five-match unbeaten home run in Europe.
    • 5' Van Dijk again in the heart of the action with Mokin fisting away the header by the Dutch defender. Celtic starting really well here.
    • 4' Virgil van Dijk almost in for the opening goal in the opening seconds, but the home side hack the ball clear from a Mulgrew corner after goalkeeper Alexandr Mokin missed the high ball. So close.
    • 3' Andrey Poryvaev nods behind and Celtic will have a corner here in the opening seconds.
    • 2' Samaras laying the ball off to Commons, but the Greek striker fails to read the return pass and Shakhter can clear the danger from deep. The home side seem to be wearing Dundee United's home shirt from last season.
    • 1' Celtic get the match off and running here on an artificial surface.
    • 15:58 Celtic are fresh from a 2-0 win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday. And they name a strong side for this match. This is a 9pm kick-off local time. Teams out on the park as we speak. Celtic in their traditional green and white hooped shirts. The home side in orange.
    • 15:57 "The players have ground out a few results along the way and it might be a case of having to do that again until we get them back to Celtic Park where it will suit us being at home," said Celtic manager Neil Lennon. "‘We’ll have to be spot on mentally and make sure we are well organised and drilled. I think mentality has a lot to do with it. Looking at it, we have better players, but they are a team that has never reached this stage of the competition and will be hungry for success."
    • 15:55 Virgil van Dijk makes his first start for Celtic alongside Steven Mouyokolo in central defence. Nigerian defender Efe Ambrose is on the bench. Scotland winger James Forrest returns to the starting line-up after being on the bench, but there is no place in the squad for new Dutch signing Derk Boerrigter, who has been toiling with an ankle problem.
    • 15:50 Teams: Shakhter: Mokin, Vasiljević, Poryvaev, Džidić, Maliy, Simčević, Vičius, Ghazaryan, Cañas, Finonchenko, Khizhnichenko..subs: Pokatilov, Tarasov, Gabyshev, Bayzhanov, Darabayev, Murtazayev, Zenkovich/////Celtic: Forster, Izaguirre, Van Dijk, Mulgrew, Mouyokolo, Lustig, Brown, Commons, Ledley, Samaras, Forrest..subs: Załuska, Matthews, Ambrose, Rogic, Kayal, Stokes, Baldé
