    • - Stick around for LIVE text updates of Newcastle v Sheffield United as the Magpies push for the Championship title having won promotion.
    • - A rather uninspiring goalless draw results in Newcastle winning promotion to the Championship without having to play. Both sides will most likely take a point and will start to prepare for the play-offs. Forest are now nine points clear in the play-off places with just 12 points to play for while Cardiff are six points clear.
    • 90+4' The full-time whistle goes.
    • 90+2' Marshall has caught Blackstock on the bridge of the nose with a flying punch but it was not intentional. Blackstock will feel sore but he'll be fine, don't worry folks.
    • 90+1' McGoldrick goes into the book after a late challenge of his own.
    • 89' Three minutes added on.
    • 89' Great chance for Blackstock. McCleary puts the ball dangerously across the box but Blackstock can't get enough on it and it goes out for a goal kick.
    • 88' It's getting a little feisty out there. Chopra comes in late on Gunter and is booked. That is 24 bookings between Chopra and Boothroyd this season. Nice.
    • 87' Great hit from Gunter on the edge of the box but Gerrard puts his body in the way and deflects it for a corner.
    • 85' Oh dear. It's all kicking off - but between Cardiff players! Marshall and Gerrard square up to each other after a lack of communication and the Cardiff keeper pushes his defender back. Chris Foy wisely has a word with the two but takes no action.
    • 83' Forest substitution. McGoldrick comes on for Rob Earnshaw.
    • 80' This game has been very stop-start second half and Boothroyd doesn't help things by almost pulling Moussi's shirt off his back on the halfway line for no real reason. Silly and detrimental to the game.
    • 78' Blackstock does very well to rob Blake of the ball five yards outside the box but Marshall produces a great save down to his right side to keep the scores level and Blake recovers to clear.
    • 74' Etuhu has picked up a slight knocked and Aaron Wildig takes his place.
    • 72' Tyson delivers a smart cross from deep on the left and Earnshaw gets in between the two defenders but heads high and wide.
    • 68' That is a cynical professional foul by Ross McCormack. Gunter carries the ball down the left, McCormack knows he won't get the ball and just takes out the former Spurs player. Yellow card. Handbags from the majority of the players afterwards but just the solitary yellow shown.
    • 67' McCormack, seemingly annoyed by the lack of opportunities by his side, lets fly from 30 yards and Camp scrambles it clear.
    • 66' Long throw for Cardiff but Bothroyd's header is very tame and Camp has the simplest of catches.
    • 65' Forest make the first sub of the game as Majewski comes off for McCleary.
    • 63' Boothroyd manages to get a shot in but Morgan throws his body in front to block it and Forest break only to have the opportunity come to nothing after a poor cross.
    • 61' Lovely cross from Cohen on the left and Blackstock gets across the defender but it is straight at Marshall and easy for the Cardiff keeper.
    • 58' Great work from Moussi. He doesn't look like he should have dainty feet but he dances around the Cardiff defence like a ballerina and wins a corner for his side.
    • 55' Cohen cuts inside from the right and drills a low shot with his left foot but he drags it wide of the near post.
    • 51' Etuhu breaks nicely into the box after good play from Boothroyd but a fantastic tackle from Wilson halts his progress and it is cleared.
    • 50' Blackstock leaves his foot in after a challenge on Blake and gets a yellow card for it.
    • 49' Nice ball played through to Chopra but he's offside. No doubt about that one.
    • 48' Earnshaw turns and shoots on the edge of the box but it ends up a few yards wide and is no trouble for Marshall in the Cardiff goal.
    • 47' Good run from Gunter down the left and Etuhu comes in with a clumsy foul. Free kick in a good position on the left for Forest.
    • 45' We are off and underway in the second half at the City Ground. A draw or a Cardiff win and Newcastle are promoted without having to kick a ball today.
    • 45' Half-time at the City Ground. Earnshaw had the best chance of the game when one on one but Cardiff have had a few chances of their own. Newcastle fans will be the happiest at the moment.
    • 44' There will be one added minute.
    • 41' Forest break away and the ball comes out to Moussi on the edge. He volleys into the ground and it bounces off a Cardiff defender for what should have been a corner. The officials give a goal kick. They've got a few decisions wrong today.
    • 38' Still a frantic pace to this game. Both sides attacking but perhaps lacking something in the final third.
    • 33' A dodgy offside decision that. As the ball is played forward by the Cardiff defence, Chopra is miles offside but making no attempt to challenge for the ball as he runs back. However, Wilson heads it back towards his keeper and Chopra pounces on it but is flagged offside. Phases of play. Coming back from offside. Active and inactive. Does anyone know the rule? Mick McCarthy thinks they got it wrong. I think they possibly got it right.
    • 29' Some awkward link-up play between Earnshaw and Blackstock ends up in the former finding himself through on goal but his shot is blocked for a corner.
    • 27' Great run from Etuhu down the right and he is being dragged and pulled all over the shop. He uses his power to get past the defenders but runs the ball out of play. Unlucky not to get a free kick there.
    • 26' Comedy. Cardiff take a free kick quickly straight into a couple of Forest players expecting to be able to retake it as they were not ten yards away but Foy waves play on and the ball breaks to Tyson on the right who fires it across goal brilliantly but no one is able to turn it in.
    • 25' Moussi knocks another ball toward the far post and it is knocked down by Blackstock for Earnshaw but the Wales international cannot reach it and it goes out for a goal kick.
    • 21' Another break for Nottingham Forest as Majewski picks up the ball in a promising position before dribbling toward goal only to unleash a shot travelling at about 5mph along the floor and wide of the goal.
    • 19' McCormack fizzes in a free kick near the corner flag and Camp does well to beat it away at his near post.
    • 16' Blackstock shows good pace to get to the ball on the right and plays it back to Moussi who delivers one of the tastiest balls you will see all day but nobody can get on the end of it and it runs away for a goal kick.
    • 13' Forest under pressure but they are dealing with it quite well at the moment and Camp has yet to be tested.
    • 11' Great clearance off the line from Gunter and Morgan clears the ball for another corner. It comes to the edge of the box for Matthews to hit but his shot is deflected and once again Cardiff have a corner.
    • 10' Etuhu does some great work in his own half and dribbles past a few Forest players before the ball is played out to Boothroyd on the left hand side of the box. His shot deflects wide and Cardiff have another corner. Lively start here.
    • 7' A mistake by Blake allows Robert Earnshaw through on goal but his left foot shot is well saved by Marshall. Should have done better.
    • 5' A great chance for Cardiff and somehow Blake's header bounces down and goes over the bar. Players are taught to head the ball down in front of goal but that was headed down at almost a 90 degree angle.
    • 5' Chopra does well down the right and wins a corner. It leads to a great chance as the ball falls for Blake and then Ledley but his effort is deflected over for another corner.
    • 3' Free kick drifted in and Blackstock climbs highest to head goalwards but his effort is relatively tame and simple for Marshall in the Cardiff goal.
    • 1' We are off and underway at the City Ground. The fans have turned out in their numbers for this game and are in full voice.
    • - Nottingham Forest have been utterly invincible at home of late and a win today would establish a new club record of 13 successive home league wins. If they fail to win, Newcastle United will win promotion back to the Premier League. Cardiff look destined for the play-offs, but will want to win after rivals Swansea, Leicester and Blackpool all chalked up victories earlier today.
