    Time:90'
    • Spain
    • Germany
    • 90+3 And that is the final whistle! Spain win their first trophy in 44 years and their second European Championship! Germany fall to the ground, exhausted and tearful, but they were poor and Spain truly deserve this.
    • 90' Three minutes additional time.
    • 89' Germany are pumping it long now, it bounces into the Spain box but they can't clear and SCHWEINSTEIGER IS IN but Capdevila was fouled.
    • 87' Kuranyi catches Senna late, on the ankle, and is shown yellow.
    • 85' Poor free-kick though, Xavi sends it well over.
    • 84' Kuranyi fouls Senna just outside the D, free kick to Spain.
    • 81' Spain come again, Cazorla on the right, a brilliant cross to Guiza who just nods it back AND SENNA SLIDES IN TO MAKE IT TWO BUT HE MISSES THE BALL! Spain really should be three up here.
    • 80' Another Spain break, Xavi on the right but the cross is too deep. The replay shows the ball did actually hit Lehmann's arm although both his hands were at his side.
    • 79' GERMANY SUB: Gomez on for Klose, he plays against the country of his father. Lehmann comes out to block a ball over the top and the Spain bench are howling for handball but I think it came off his thigh.
    • 78' SPAIN SUB: An interesting one this as Guiza comes on for Torres, who has been excellent tonight.
    • 77' Spain break in typically cavalier fashion, a sweeping move as the ball is played to Alonso in the box who knocks it back to Torres unmarked but the angle is tight and it's blocked for a corner.
    • 76' Torres is played through by Alonso, he totally takes out Mertesacker with a great flick but the touch is just a little too heavy and Lehmann gathers.
    • 75' Ramos almost gets in trouble under pressure from Schweinsteiger but manages to get out of it and win a throw in the process.
    • 73' Torres is booked for a high arm.
    • 68' Taken short and Iniesta is in and he hammers a low drive past Lehmann but off the line by Frings! Again Germany asleep on a set piece. Spain come again and Cazorla has the ball, he waits for Iniesta's late run and plays him in but Lehmann blocks the shot!
    • 67' A handball by Metzelder and Spain have a free-kick on the right centre, about 28 yards out. Xavi to take. Great far post delivery AND RAMOS SNEAKS IN UNMARKED BUT LEHMANN MAKES A GOOD SAVE FROM HIS HEADER! Should have been 2-0, rubbish marking from Germany though.
    • 66' SPAIN SUB: Silva comes off, perhaps on account of his loss of temper, and Cazorla makes an entry.
    • 64' It's all kicking off after Podolski is pulled down off the ball, Silva seems to aim a headbutt at Podolski, Ballack has a word with the linesman. The ref called them both a couple of Garys and it's a free-kick on the left. The replay shows Podolski moved his head first but Silva actually made contact.
    • 64' SPAIN SUB: Alonso on for Fabregas, a more defensive midfielder than the Arsenal man.
    • 63' Germany come forward again, they've broken through the middle and they have men over, Schweinsteiger on the left drills the cross in but if clatters off Klose and behind for a goal-kick.
    • 61' Hilarious banter from Schweini as Torres goes down and - because he's not allowed to kick it out of play nowadays and the ref hasn't stopped the match - he dribbles the ball over to where Torres is lying, offers to pick him up and when Torres waves him away then decides to play on. The Germany midfielder managed to be both sportsmanlike and sarky at once. Ballack meanwhile breaks down the left, he swings a cross over and Klose flies in but Casillas palms it away and gets the rebound.
    • 61' Germany come again and it's played through to Kuranyi by Schweini but the flag is up.
    • 60' Jansen wins it on the left, a good cross to Schweinsteiger who knocks it back to BALLACK ON THE EDGE OF THE BOX but just wide! Puyol was at fault there.
    • 59' Fabregas wide to Silva, great ball and he drills a wicked low cross to the far post but Torres isn't there to finish and it's out for a goal-kick.
    • 58' GERMANY SUB: Hitzlsperger comes off for Kuranyi.
    • 57' Frings fouls Iniesta after a clever turn. He kicks the ball away but I don't think the ref has even booked him.
    • 56' Puyol is being a softy after Klose almost but doesn't quite touch him, rather camply rejecting his attempts to help him up. The ref's not having any of it though.
    • 55' Torres is played through again and Mertesacker lets him past him and Lehmann comes out but this time he gets there first! Almost a carbon-copy of the opening goal!
    • 54' The corner comes in near post, Germany don't clear and it lands to Silva who drills it in AND RAMOS AT THE FAR POST BUT HE CAN'T GET A TOUCH AND IT FLIES WIDE! Any kind of touch on the backheel and Spain would be 2-0 up.
    • 53' Jansen almost plays Podolski in but good defending from Marchena and Spain break again, Torres gets it on the right, he plays it back to Xavi who drills in a low shot that Lehmann tips behind for a corner.
    • 52' Silva intercepts a stray Frings pass but his final ball is poor and put out for a throw. Klose still isn't allowed back on the pitch even though he never wanted to go off anyway.
    • 50' Klose is down in a lot of pain after a clash with Marchena. I think he copped one in the privates.
    • 49' Torres tries to flick the ball over Mertesacker, Torres goes down but the ref waves him up and rightly so.
    • 48' Iniesta is on the right now, having swapped with Silva. That makes more sense as, despite his quality, he has to cut onto his right most of the time, whereas Silva is more comfortable with his left.
    • 46' Second half underway!
    • 46' GERMANY SUB: Lahm is taken off for Jansen. Looks like he's paid the price for the error in allowing Torres to score.
    • 45+1 Half-time, 1-0 to Spain through Torres.
    • 45' Ramos flings himself to the ground in the area but not even the fans appeal.
    • 44' Spain break after Germany attack and this is another quick counter, Xavi with a superb through ball to Iniesta but again he moves it onto his right, which allows the defender to get back and his eventual cross is blocked. Corner Spain.
    • 42' It kicks off between Ballack and Puyol after a foul by the Chelsea man on Fabregas. Casillas and the ref break it up, Ballack is booked and so is Casillas, one assumes for running 30 yards to get involved.
    • 41' Hitzlsperger swings the corner over and a great leap by Casillas to punch clear as four 6"4' Germans fly in on him.
    • 40' Germany have a free-kick but they take it too quickly on the right, the delay gives Germany enough time to get Ballack back on and Aragones is furious. Senna clears though, corner for Germany.
    • 39' Spain, meanwhile, have a free-kick, which is taken short and Metzelder misses a through ball which almost releases Silva but his touch is poor.
    • 38' Ballack comes back on, after a change of shirt and a mop-up, but there's still blood on his ear so he's ordered off again.
    • 37' Worrying for Ballack - he's still down. Germany have a free-kick though, Schweinsteiger to take from the left and a horrible delivery.
    • 35' Bad news for Germany fans - Ballack is down on the touchline getting treatment. He clashed heads with Senna and is dazed.
    • 34' Spain win it back from the kick-off, it's played down the left for Iniesta, who isn't great on that foot so cuts back and Torres is there but he clips it out to the unmarked Silva at the far post but oh dear his attempt to volley in spectacular fashion shanks appallingly over.
    • 33' Xavi on the ball as Spain break again, he slips it through to Torres but it's just ahead of him but he somehow gets past Lahm as Lehmann comes out and Torres gets a touch and it goes over Lehmann and trickles in! 1-0 to Spain! Great finish, but did Torres tug back Lahm to get goal-side of him? Hmmm, a tough one.
    • 31' Germany give it away, Cesc now, wide to Iniesta and back in for Cesc again but Lehmann is equal to his low drive.
    • 30' The corner comes to nothing, not a great delivery and the whistle goes for some pushing and pulling in the box
    • 29' Torres chases a ball down the right channel but Mertesacker makes a great challenge this time. Corner. That chance came from a Spain break after Capdevila seemed to handle the ball before clearing, although it was clearly ball-to-hand.
    • 27' Germany get a free-kick after Ramos catches Lahm as the pair go in quite high for a loose ball.
    • 26' Germany break and Schweinsteiger is through and he plays it into Podolski who must make Casillas work but his touch lets him down on his weaker right and Spain clear.
    • 25' The corner is sent over by Lahm, headed away at the near post by Puyol but Germany still have it and BALLACK HAS A SWING IN THE BOX BUT BLOCKED BY RAMOS! The Germany fans howl for a penalty but that looked like his chest did the work.
    • 24' Germany come forward now, again a corner on the left.
    • 22' Silva on the right, Spain have men over and he nocks it back to Ramos who clips over a superb far-post cross AND TORRES RISES OVER MERTESACKER AGAIN TO POWER THE HEADER OFF THE INSIDE OF THE POST! It bounces away and CAPDEVILA but his long-range drive is well wide. Torres already looking better than in previous matches, thriving on being the lone wolf.
    • 20' Free-kick to Spain on the right that Xavi will swing over but although he finds Torres - who inexplicably beats Mertesacker in the air - the header is quite some way over.
    • 18' Iniesta plays Torres in on the left but for once his touch is poor as he tries to turn Mertesacker. Germany clear and win a throw.
    • 17' Iniesta plays a clever one-two with Cesc and Frings blocks Iniesta from getting to the return, free-kick 33 yards or so from goal. Xavi takes it but disappointing, easy for Lehmann.
    • 17' Iniesta plays a clever one-two with Cesc and Frings blocks Iniesta from getting to the return, free-kick 33 yards or so from goal.
    • 16' Cesc over the top for Torres, who is onside on the right but his cross looking for Silva is poor, way too long.
    • 14' Spain on a rare foray forward, Torres on the right, he goes inside to Xabi, great ball past Mertesacker who is out of position to let Iniesta in, he cuts back but can't shoot but plays it across goal and Metzelder intercepts but it's going in and a great save by Lehmann, who was going the wrong way! Corner.
    • 12' Corner to Germany now, on the left - where all their play is coming through - and Casillas flies out to punch half-clear. Still with Germany but Casillas holds onto the second ball.
    • 11' Lahm gets the ball now and his cross is blocked out for a throw near the corner flag.
    • 10' Germany have definitely started the better of the two - surely this can¬ít be another case of stage-fright for the Spanish? They're not at the races as Ramos is lucky not to be penalised for a rough tackle into the back of Podolski.
    • 9' Klose with a driving run down the middle but his shot is low and straight at Casillas
    • 7' Hitzlsperger plays it down the line to Ballack nutmegs Puyol, glides past him and tries to chip a cross in but too high and no-one at the far post where it lands.
    • 6' Capdevila played in on the left but the flag is up, he made his run just too early.
    • 4' A long ball almost releases Torres but the bounce takes it too wide for him.
    • 3' Cagey start from both sides, as one would expect, but Ramos makes a trademark mistake as he plays the ball across the face of goal to Puyol, intercepted by Klose who could be in to score but a poor second touch takes it out of play! A howler from Ramos but Germany fail to exploit it.
