    Time:90'
    • Wales
    • Montenegro
    • 90+5' And there's the whistle! What a result for Wales! They're finally off the mark in Group G while Montenegro's hopes of automatic qualifcation have taken a heavy dent.
    • 90+4' Standing ovation for Gareth Bale and deservedly so. He comes off in the final sub of the game, one to burn the final seconds, with Rob Earnshaw on in his place.
    • 90+3' Montenegro's last rolls of the dice here, culminating in a shot by Jovanovic... straight at Hennessy who half-spills but then gathers!
    • 90+2' Hennessy concedes a corner, taken short and it's blocked out for a throw by Vaughan who's down and winded from that one.
    • 90+1' Robson-Kanu has it out on the right, Bale and Bellamy are in the box... but the cross is caught by Bozovic.
    • 90' Superb sliding block by Blake to deny Damjanovic a shot on goal. Three minutes added time for Wales to surive.
    • 89' Free-kick Montenegro, deep on the right wing. Vukevic whips it in... but Savic wanders offside before getting onto it.
    • 88' A long ball upfield from the men in white is cleared only as far as Jovetic, whose crack at a second scuffs off the wrong part of his boot and away from danger.
    • 87' Bellamy is in a dangerous position on the left again, but his cut-back is cleared.
    • 86' Robson-Kanu tenaciously wins a header to put himself through but Bozovic is alert and comes out to get it away.
    • 85' ...but Bozovic catches and Montenegro break. It's Vukevic who has the shot in the end and Hennessey does well to parry with Gunter there to clear. A corner ls cieared for an attacking throw.
    • 84' Bellamy wins a corner off Savic, which he'll take himself...
    • 83' Both sides with changes now. Balic should have been sent off, but is instead subbed off for Jovanovic. Morison joins fellow goalscorer Ramsey back in the dugout, Robson-Kanu the man to see out the last seven minutes.
    • 82' A good stretch of possession by Wales, stretching the away side as they desperately seek a way back into the game. Long ball from Gunter finds Morison but he's adjudged to have fouled his marker on the run.
    • 80' Superb challenge by Taylor to prevent another Montenegro attack. Went down for it in the box, brave but perfectly timed.
    • 79' Vucinic cannot continue. He is replaced by Delibasic.
    • 78' The duo combine on the break again, and Vukevic is booked for fouling Bellamy. The man who has returned to Liverpool wisely went down when he could have played on. Eats more time for the hosts.
    • 77' Bellamy and Bale have been nothing short of superb tonight. Between Gareth's confidence and Bellamy's experience, the two are keeping their side in the driver's seat.
    • 76' Montenegro's passing fluidity is reaching top levels but Bale intercepts a vital pass. He goes all the way with it via Bellamy, but shoots wide.
    • 74' Great interplay from Bellamy and Taylor is eventually defended well in the box by Savic.
    • 73' Balic wins a corner off Gunter. It's headed across goal from the near post and into the path of Damjanovic! Over the bar! Another serious chance wasted.
    • 72' Vucinic is off the pitch at present receiving treatment. Wales have to dig deep now. 18 minutes to go to defend a lead they're not used to having.
    • 71' GOAL! Game back on Jovetic blasts one back after great work between Vucinic and Damjanovic bamboozles the men in red.
    • 70' A second crack of the whip fares better, courtesy of a fine through ball into the danger zone. Taylor smartly clears the danger despite Hennessey coming out for it. Took no chances, the proper way to defend a lead.
    • 69' Some sustained Montenegro possession just cannot find a way of penetrating the Wales area, and the defence gets it away.
    • 67' Decent low ball into the box is held up by Jovetic as Hennessey comes out to try and claim, he plays it short back to Vukevic but his shot is blocked away for a corner. Serious chance of a goal back there.
    • 66' Montenegro's night doesn't get any better. It's finished 3-0 in Sofia. They're losing ground on England now.
    • 65' Taylor gives away a free-kick after doggedly pressing for the ball along with Ledley.
    • 64' Captain Fantastic's night is over. Ramsay hands the armband over to Williams before making way for Crofts.
    • 63' Gunter emulates Bale's cross-shot hybrids and forces a corner from Bozovic. It misses the head of Blake by inches.
    • 62' Kudos as well to Vaughan who'd done well to win possession just moments earlier.
    • 61' What a move by Wales! Great touch off the backheel of Bale, he gives and goes from Morison down the right and his cross just misses the head of Bellamy by inches. Champagne football from the hosts! Speed may have turned a corner tonight.
    • 60' Balic checks Bale. That should have been a yellow. His second yellow. How is he still on the pitch?
    • 59' Mazy run into the 'D' by Jovetic is eventually cut out by a back-tracking Ledley.
    • 57' First sub is unsurprisingly made by the visitors. Damjanovic replaces Djalovic in a like-for-like up front.
    • 56' Montenegro have a corner now, making it 2 to Wales' 5. Batak gets a header at goal, but Hennessey isn't troubled with that one.
    • 55' What a ball forward by Bale to catch Ledley's run.. offside trap smashed to smithereens... Ledley should be one-on-one... but fails to control it with his weaker foot. Shame.
    • 54' A yellow card was issued for the foul in the build-up to that one, I BELIEVE it was Pekovic.
    • 53' Ledley is fouled on the left wing. Wales play on. Cross into the box finds Bale, but he can't get enough mustard on his header and Bozovic will catch.
    • 51' Bale's immediately on the attack again, Balic brings him down... nothing given and a good thing for Balic too as he's also on a yellow. Replays show he won the ball, though.
    • 50' Bale takes down a raking ball from the back rather well, simple ball inside to Ramsey... GOAL! THE CAPTAIN MAKES IT TWO!
    • 49' Morison concedes a free-kick for apparently going in with his foot rather dangerously around Batak's head. Seeing as the defender was almost on all fours to clear it, that was a tad harsh...
    • 48' Drincic handballs an early cross. He has to be careful, he's already booked...
    • 47' Wales win a free-kick deep on the left which Bellamy will take. He whips it into the box but Batak beats Williams to the header.
    • 46' And we're off in the second half. I hear Craig Bellamy told the referee during the interval that his questionable yellow card had ruined "his dream" of playing against England at Wembley.
    • 45+1' And despite some good Montenegro possession, it comes to nothing and the half-time whistle sounds.
    • 45' Both goalkeepers are required to come out and collect balls into their areas in the space of 30 seconds, and neither fail their duties. One minute of added time to be played.
    • 44' Bellamy also gets a booking. He'll also miss the England game. There didn't seem to be anything in that whatsoever. He leaned ever so slightly into his marker. Good news for the English, though...
    • 43' Bellamy unleashes a dastardly cross towards Ledley at the far post but Bozovic punches it clear. Bale collects it on the opposite flank and his cross-cum-shot flashes past Morison and the goal.
    • 42' Montenegro, for about the third time in the game, fire from 40 yards and go absolutely nowhere near the goal. What's up with that? By the way, it was Morison with the header that was cleared off the line.
    • 41' A quick Bellamy throw sets Morison free and forces another corner to be conceded. Clever, sharp play from the veteran. Bozovic claims this set piece, though.
    • 40' Bellamy hooks the overhit corner back into the danger zone and a header is cleared off the line by Zverotic!
    • 39' Morison's onside, albeit a little wide to the right... but he wins a corner off the legs of Bozovic nonetheless.
    • 38' Bale levels the yellow card count once more. This time it's Drincic who can't keep up with the youngster and resorts to a blatant foul.
    • 37' Djalovic has a prime chance, but guess where he puts it? Hint: Not the target.
    • 36' Vaughan goes into the book for cynically bringing down Pekovic before the midfielder could spark a breakaway. He'll miss the England clash midweek now.
    • 35' Bale fakes a long throw, instead going short to Gunter whose cross fails to beat the first man. Wales carry on though and Bellamy finds space on the left... but nothing comes of it
    • 34' Wales have had 5 shots on target to Montenegro's 6, but only the home side have found the target (3) so far.
    • 33' A long punt upfield looks like it may land at the feet of Morison, running between the two centre-halves, but it catches the back of his head. It lands with Ledley, but his attempt to lob the advanced keeper is heavy.
    • 32' The resulting corner flies past everyone in the box, however.
    • 31' Bale cuts inside again. He looks up... and goes for it! TIPPED OVER THE BAR! That would have been an amazing goal!
    • 30' That's Morison's first goal for his country. What a whirlwind 24 months it's been for him. Goal was deserved, too. Wales are only getting stronger in this game.
    • 29' Vaughan gets in a ball from the left... Bozovic fumbles it! MORISON! 1-0!
    • 27' Balic sees yellow himself for a rough challenge on Bale, who'd beaten him for speed completely.
    • 26' Wales have grown in confidence over the last 10-12 minutes, and it's being reflected in the atmosphere in the crowd. The band is in full effect at the moment. Apparently, they just can't get enough...
    • 25' A quick Montenegro counter attempt ends when Darcy Blake slowly... guards... a forward... ball... out... for... a... oh wait, he's faked his man as the ball just wouldn't go out, and clears himself. Neat tekkers.
    • 23' Our first yellow card of the contest goes to Ashley Williams for seemingly catching Jovetic in a 50-50. He's not one of the seven on a suspension, fortunately for Gary Speed...
    • 22' Clever ball into the box at the other end and once again it's Bale, and it's a good take from Bozovic before three onrushing red shirts can get onto it.
    • 21' Ledley gives the ball away cheaply just outside his own box, but Vukevic uses the opportunity for little more than to add to Montenegro's off-target shots tally.
    • 20' Jovetic turns Taylor to run clean through... but handballed to do so. Free-kick.
    • 19' Half-hearted shout for a penalty as Ledley is knocked down by his marker going for cross into the area, but his eyes looked completely on the ball. Bellamy fluffs a shot on the rebound and Bozovic catches comfortably.
    • 18' Bale and Bellamy are causing problems out wide thus far, and Morison is eager to harrass the centre-backs. Just need to prolong their spells of possession now.
    • 17' A lethal Bale cross into the box is headed clear by Savic. The pressure ends when Bale is caught offside.
    • 16' In fact, the throw leads to Jovetic fashioning another chance towards goal, which again is nowhere near Wayne Hennessey's goal.
    • 15' A Montenegro throw is stalled by two footballs being on the pitch at once. It leads to a drop ball, which Wales sportingly knock straight back off for another throw attempt. This one is done without a hitch.
    • 14' Jovetic gets onto Vukevic's ball into the box, he's onside, but cannot control it well enough to turn at goal. The away team get a corner, but it comes to nothing.
    • 12' Now it's Vukevic's turn to go off target, blasting into Row Z after a decent cut inside his man to make the space for a crack at goal.
    • 11' Meanwhile, his Welsh counterpart Ramsey embarks on a good run forward but his short pass is a little too short and the move comes to an end.
    • 10' Skipper and record goalscorer Vucinic fires wide of the far post.
    • 8' Some decent possession from the hosts, their first moments of real comfort on the ball thus far, culminates in a free-kick inside their own half.
    • 7' EXCELLENT turn by Bellamy from Taylor's measured pass but it's not enough to wriggle free of his two markers and Montenegro ease the danger.
    • 6' A Williams interception leads to a ball back to Bozovic which Morison will chase down, but it's cleared.
    • 4' A mis-judgement by Savic forces keeper Bozovic to rush out and clear the danger.
    • 3' Taylor intercepts a ball down the centre, the visitors remain in possession via a series of throws.
    • 2' First chance of the game goes to Jovetic, but is well wide. Wales will want to get their first point (or points) today but must be careful with SEVEN players on a suspension if they're booked.
    • 1' Our Italian official blows the first half underway!
    • 19:45 Anthem time in Cardiff, which means kick-off is coming up... next!
    • 19:40 It's 2-0 in Bulgaria, Wayne Rooney heads home a corner on 20 minutes. Meanwhile, we're moments away from the teams making their arrival onto the pitch at the Millenium Stadium!
    • 19:35 "Good luck Wales" - Martin S, on Fri 2 Sep 7:20PM
    • 19:30 Not much so far on the comments section I see - come on lads, let's have some predictions! (England have just taken the lead by the way, Gary Cahill on 12 minutes)
    • 19:25 So Blake it is for Mr. Speed, with Danny Gabbidon not even making the bench. West Ham's Jack Collison also misses out after failing to recover from his illness.
    • 19:20 TEAMS - Wales: Hennessey, Gunter, Blake, Williams, Taylor, Ledley, Ramsey, Vaughan, Bale, Morison, Bellamy. Subs: Myhill, Danny Collins, Matthews, Allen, Crofts, Robson-Kanu, Earnshaw. /// Montenegro: Mladen Bozovic, Balic, Batak, Savic, Zverotic, Vukcevic, Pekovic, Drincic, Jovetic, Djalovic, Vucinic. Subs: Blazic, Jovanovic, Kascelan, Novakovic, Damjanovic, Vladimir Bozovic, Delibasic.
    • 19:15 Just waiting on the full squad lists, but I hear that Steve Morison gets the nod up front ahead of Rob Earnshaw. Spots also in the starting XI for Darcy Blake and Neil Taylor, apparently.
    • 19:10 Well, it's Mission Impossible for Gary Speed's side, only maximum points in all four remaining fixtures will give them the slightest of chances of making it to Poland and Ukraine. But one thing's for sure - they'll at the very least want a victory, or even a point, to get off the mark in Group G. Standings
