    • 90+2' Nani's shot at goal is blocked by Badstuber. Portugal have a corner, but Germany make a change with Lars Bender replacing Muller.
    • 89' We are into three minutes of time added here.
    • 88' Portugal can't believe their misfortune. They thought they had rescued a late leveller.
    • 87' Neuer dives to make the block from Varela's shot. Brilliant move by Portugal, but the shot from close range fails to find the net.
    • 86' Toni Kroos has been wheeled on for Ozil. Clock against Portugal here.
    • 85' Nani whacks a shot wide of goal from long range. Looks like Germany are going to see this one out.
    • 84' Hummels back to head clear the danger from Nani's cross with Varela trying to get on the end of it.
    • 83' A hopeful Nani ball hits the top of the bar before flying to safety. Dangerous moments for Germany here.
    • 82' Coentrão's shot deflects off a white shirt and bounces up over the bar. Better from Portugal, but may be too late.
    • 81' Silvestre Varela has replaced Meireles for Portugal.
    • 80' Ronaldo thrashes an effort at goal from distance. Ball was moving in the air, but Neuer kept his eye on it to knock it wide.
    • 79' An offside flag goes up against Ozil.
    • 78' Loew will be vindicated for opting for Klose ahead of Gomez if Germany preserve this lead.
    • 77' Gomez is going to depart the action to be replaced by Klose. Not a bad replacement.
    • 76' Gomez had just eight touches in the first half, but that touch could make all the difference to this match in the second half.
    • 75' Muller fires the ball across goal. Gomez just fails to connect. Lovely sweeping move by Germany with space beginning to open up in the opposition box.
    • 74' Great header from Gomez back across goal moments before he was going to be hooked. Ozil's corner comes to nothing this time, and Portugal will look to break.
    • 73' Germany fans in full voice as their team retreat to get behind the ball. Neuer launches it long down the park.
    • 72' Free header with Pepe and Pereira caught out. The Germany fans thrilled with that goal. Portugal have to come out their shells now.
    • 71' GOAL! Gomez scores for Germany. He rises to head home Khedira's cross and the Germans have the lead. No chance for Patricio.
    • 70' Muller goes to the edge of the opposition box, but the cross ball is into no man's land. Awful play. Must be a change coming here for Germany.
    • 69' Oliveira is brought on to take over from Postiga for these final 20 minutes or so.
    • 68' A booking for Boateng after he hauled back Ronaldo.
    • 67' Muller drags the ball across goal looking for Gomez, but Patricio watches that ball like a hawk to grab the cross out of the air.
    • 66' Difficult to see where a goal is coming from here. Might need a mistake or a few tiring legs in the heat of Lviv.
    • 65' Badstuber pushed off the ball by Nani, who is unhappy about being penalised. Nani complaining that it was a legal shoulder challenge.
    • 64' Boateng needing a spot of treatment here. Had to make that tackle to deny Ronaldo a goal.
    • 63' Brilliant tackle by Boateng to get back and make the challenge on Ronaldo as he prepared to pull the trigger.
    • 62' Meireles catches Badstuber in the face as he wrestled for the ball. Accidental challenge.
    • 61' Moutinho brought down by Badstuber at the halfway line. Portugal pick up, but Germany have plenty of bodies behind the ball.
    • 60' Badstuber taken out late by Postiga. All very scrappy between two sides who look no nearer to finding a goal from this match.
    • 59' Schweinsteiger tries to inject some energy into the German side's play, but ends up driving a cross into the arms of Patricio.
    • 58' Moutinho back on his feet before Coentrão is booked for a late tackle on Schweinsteiger.
    • 57' Moutinho on the deck needing a spot of treatment as Jose Mourinho checks out something or other on his mobile in the stand.
    • 56' Gomez nods over the bar from Podolski's cross. Was going to be difficult to hit the target from 18 yards out.
    • 55' Ozil picks out Podoloski, but his control lets him down under pressure from Pepe. Portugal on the ball deep in their half.
    • 54' Coentrão and Muller collide in the air, and the German player gives a rueful smile as he is penalised.
    • 53' Offside flag goes up against Postiga after he rose to head the ball back across goal.
    • 52' Coentrão whacks the ball across goal. Hits Boateng and flies out for a corner-kick.
    • 51' Podolski tries to get on the end of Ozil's cross, but it has just too much height for his team-mate. Portugal survive.
    • 50' Better stuff from Portugal after a stodgy start to the match. Miguel penalised for blocking Khedira. A free-kick for Germany out wide.
    • 49' Ronaldo drives at Boateng, who is in all sorts of trouble. Hummels stands tall to nod the cross over his own bar.
    • 48' Ronaldo smashes a shot at the German goal, but easy take for Neuer in goal.
    • 47' Meireles throws himself at Muller's cross as Germany look to strike quickly at the outset of the second period.
    • 46' Germany get this second half off and running.
    • 45+1' There goes the whistle for the break! 0-0 at half-time. Not exactly classic fare. All level.
    • 44' One minute of time added on.
    • 43' Pepe hits the underside of the bar! So close to the opening goal. Ball bounced down and back out. Wasn't over the line. On the line. Germany defence caught out from that corner.
    • 42' German fans ordered to stop throwing plastic cups on the pitch as Badstuber knocks the ball behind for a corner.
    • 41' Free-kick is drilled straight into the arms of Neuer. Really disappointing finish to that move for Portugal as Ozil runs the ball out of play at the other end.
    • 40' Nani taken out of the game late by Badstuber as he galloped up a flank. A free-kick and booking for Badstuber.
    • 39' Joachim Loew visibly frustrated on the Germany bench as Moutinho thrashes a shot wide from distance.
    • 38' Ball bobbling around that Portuguese box before Muller slaps a shot wide of goal. Dangerous moment, but Portugal survive.
    • 37' Three of Portugal's past five games have finished 0-0. Ozil and Pepe collide, but Portugal are awarded the goalkick.
    • 36' Portugal very well organised. That is the best you can say for them as Khedira fires a shot miles over the bar.
    • 35' Gomez bundles Pepe off the ball as Portugal are awarded a free-kick which Patricio knocks long down the park.
    • 34' Obviously a warm night in Lviv. Neither team getting any real pace into their play at the key moment. Germany with over 60 percent of possession.
    • 33' Moutinho goes in late on Schweinsteiger before Coentrão comes up with a timely tackle on Muller.
    • 32' Ronaldo not getting much change out of Boateng as he tried to dance past him in the box. Clever work by Germany in putting two men on the Real Madrid player.
    • 31' The Netherlands would probably settle for a draw in this match after their defeat earlier today. Here come Portugal...
    • 30' 30 minutes gone and nothing much of note happening. All very tight. Cliche time: this game needs a goal.
    • 29' Podolski lifts a shot miles over the bar from Ozil's pass. Chance gone as the new Arsenal forward blows another oppotunity.
    • 28' Cristiano Ronaldo attempted the most shots in qualifying - 54. Will look to extend that record this evening.
    • 27' Podolski tries an ambitious attempt at goal, but gets it all wrong. Loses his balance as his volley flies well wide of the target.
    • 26' The Portugal fans booing the Germans. Not sure what that is about.
    • 25' Ronaldo has an effort blocked at the other end. Portugal look to rework the ball, but Moutinho fails to pick out Postiga. This game lacking quality at the moment.
    • 24' Podolski smashes a free-kick at goal. Straight into the wall and Portugal hold firm. No nearer to finding an opening goal in this match.
    • 23' Plenty of boos in the ground as Gomez finds the net with a finish, but the whistle had gone for a Meireles foul on Khedira.
    • 22' Alves across to make sure Ozil can't get on the end of a Schweinsteiger pass as Patricio comes off his line to collect the loose ball.
    • 21' Paulo Bento trying to explain himself to Ronaldo and what he is wanting to see from the Real Madrid playmaker this evening.
    • 20' Germany did not go behind at any point in the qualification campaign, taking the lead in all 10 of their matches. Will hope to protect that run this evening.
    • 19' Looks like Portugal are content to let the Germans have the ball before hitting on the break.
    • 18' Boateng switches the ball to Podolski out wide. Germany switching the play from one side to the other. Portugal with 11 men behind the ball.
    • 17' First sign of life in that Portugal line-up. A slowish start to this match by them with Germany having looked the more adventurous side.
    • 16' Ronaldo almost plays provider for Nani at the back post. Germany hack it clear for a corner. Schweinsteiger in there to head clear in front of Alves.
    • 15' Moutinho deemed to be guilty of bringing down Schweinsteiger with a late, sliding challenge.
    • 14' Gomez working hard to close down space with Podolski also throwing his frame around up front. Podolski winning his 98th cap tonight for Germany at the age of 27.
    • 13' Not sure how much contact was made there, but Neuer is back on his feet and on we go with this match.
    • 12' A booking for Postiga after he is deemed to have taken Neuer out of the game with a late sliding challenge. Awful tackle with his boots up
    • 11' Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho at this match tonight watching his players Ronaldo, Khedira and Ozil in action. And perhaps a few targets.
    • 10' Ozil on the run for Germany. Some fine footwork, but just fails to escape the attentions of Pereira in the opposition defence.
    • 9' Germany looking to get on the ball in the opposition half, but a heavy first touch by Khedira sees them surrender possession.
    • 8' Podolski wallops a shot into the arms of Patricio from outside of the box. Decent play by Muller moving forward. Germany looking the likelier side early on.
    • 7' Muller goes in late on Coentrao. A poor challenge really. Both teams getting stuck in out there.
    • 6' Germany on the ball and looking to keep possession after Postiga failed to win a corner for Portugal out wide.
    • 5' Another fine cross from Boateng is taken by Patricio. A decent atmosphere in the ground for this match.
    • 4' Portugal have never been eliminated from the group stages of the European Championships in five appearances, but something has to give this time with the Netherlands and Germany in their section. And Denmark winning against the Dutch earlier tonight.
    • 3' A few plastic cups rain down from the stands on top of Moutinho, whose corner is punched away by Neuer in the German goal.
    • 2' Boateng picks out Gomez, whose header is plucked out of the air by Patricio in the Portgual goal. Decent move by the Germans.
    • 1' We are off and running in Lviv. A nice evening for this. Warm and the pitch looks in lovely condition as you would expect at the finals of a tournament.
    • 19.40 Teams out on the park. National anthems before Portugal prepare to get this match off and running. Should be a rousing occasion.
    • 19.35 Germany have only won two of their last 10 European Championship group stage games - drawing four and losing four - and have been eliminated at this stage in two of the last three tournaments.
    • 19.30 This will be the fourth meeting between Germany and Portugal at European Championships, with Germany winning 3-2 in Euro 2008, Portugal winning 3-0 in Euro 2000 and the sides drawing 0-0 at Euro 1984.
    • 19:25 News of the other match in Group B tonight where the Netherlands fell to a shock 1-0 loss to Denmark. Denmark stun wasteful Dutch
    • 19:20 Portugal coach Paulo Bento: "We have made a lot of sacrifices and worked hard to be here. We are here owing to the qualities of the players and their performances. I couldn't care about the criticism as it is the players who merit my attention. After the competition I will respond to everything but during it I shall not reply to questions on criticism."
    • 19:15 Germany coach Joachim Loew: "One cannot know ahead of time how a relatively young player will react in such a situation. But we have a young team and I have often said that I like youth and dynamism. If they have quality and the conditioning, that's worth more than a lot of experience."
    • 19:10 TEAMS - Germany: Neuer, Boateng, Hummels, Badstuber, Lahm, Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Muller, Ozil, Podolski, Gomez. Subs: Wiese, Gundogan, Schmelzer, Howedes, Schurrle, Klose, Bender, Mertesacker, Kroos, Gotze, Reus, Zieler. /// Portugal: Rui Patricio, Joao Pereira, Bruno Alves, Pepe, Fabio Coentrao, Meireles, Veloso, Joao Moutinho, Nani, Postiga, Ronaldo. • 19:05 The designated Group of Death has already thrown the form book - and match odds - out of the window after Denmark's stunning 1-0 win over the much fancied Netherlands. https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/09062012/58/euro-2012-denmark-stun-wasteful-dutch.html

Where is gaynaldo when portugal needs him? Where are you losers who say that gaynaldo performs good with every team he has been with? Oh I forgot he won the world cup with portugal, hahhhaahaaa. Gaynaldo flops once again with portugal. Messi on the other hand scores a hat trick with Argentina against Brazil. His 7 goals in 3 matches for Argentina including 2 hat tricks. Over 80 goals for club and country for Messi this season, that speaks volume. Messi is the best in the worls.

If Kroos was used as a substitute for Ozil; why doesn't someone just type in ''86' Toni Kroos has been substituted to replace Ozil''. Have a bit of tactful thought someone.
