    • - Thanks for joining us on a night of great action from Euro 2012. We're back to Group A on Tuesday, with Greece v Czech Republic at 17:00 UK time and Poland v Russia at 19:45. We'll have them live, as with every match in this tournament.
    • 90+5' There's the final whistle! The hosts prevail thanks to a vintage display of predatory goalscoring from Andriy Shevchenko!
    • 90+4' Olsson tries to beat his man, feels some contact and goes to ground... no foul, and that should be it!
    • 90+3' Elm clips a ball to the left side of the box for Mellberg, who stretches and lifts his shot over the keeper and onto the top of the net!
    • 90+2' Another Ukraine change, purely for timewasting value. Marko Devic replaces the excellent Konoplyanka.
    • 90+1' There will be three minutes of added time played....
    • 90' Elmander!! Ibrahimovic plays him through with an outrageous flick, and as the ball bounces Elmander blazes his shot high and wide!
    • 89' Gusev is well forward, and is adjudged to have fouled Mellberg, although that decision could have gone either way.
    • 88' Milevskiy carries the ball through the middle - Sweden are short at the back as they push forward.
    • 86' Elm finmds Wilhelmsson on the left with a gorgeous ball... he whips in a cross, oddly Mellberg is the furthest player forward and he just cannot reach it.
    • 85' Crossed deep for Ibra, who heads back across goal looking for Kallstrom.. Ukraine clear.
    • 84' Off goes Voronin after a fine performance, and he is replaced by Ruslan Rotan.
    • 83' Nazarenko strikes the free-kick... it swerves high and wide.
    • 83' Rasmus Elm booked for that foul on Voronin.
    • 82' Voronin exchanges passes with Milevskiy and is fouled 30 yards from goal. He's had a very good game.
    • 81' A standing ovation as Shevchenko goes off - he is replaced by Artem Milevskiy.
    • 80' Wilhelmsson's cross from the left it played inadvertently back to him by Mellberg... and this time Wilhelmsson goes for goal, his shot bouncing into the keeper's midriff.
    • 79' Shevchenko glances across to the bench, and it looks like he will soon be withdrawn.
    • 77' Sweden starting to show a bit of promise here. This game is far from over.
    • 76' More danger for Ukraine as Wilhelmsson sprints inside from the left... but Pyatov is out smartly to save at his feet.
    • 75' Zlatan! Wallops a powerful shot from the edge of the box but straight at Pyatov! Real chance for the number 10.
    • 74' Konoplyanka goes for goal form range, but fires off target.
    • 72' Great piece of skill from Yarmolenko! A Cruyff turn to leave his man in a heap. Ukraine brimming with confidence.
    • 71' Sweden change: Johan Elmander was not fit enough to start tonight, but he comes on now to replace Rosenberg.
    • 70' Ibrahimovic chips a superb pass over the top for Elm, who stretches to reach it, but cannot lift his shot over Pyatov. There would have been even more controversy if they had scored there because Yarmolenko was down injured.
    • 69' Time to see what Sweden have got - those three goals came in a 10-minute blur, and they have to steal themselves for a comeback here.
    • 68' Why the Mexican wave now? Come on, Ukraine, you're better than that.
    • 67' A change for Sweden: Christian Wilhelmsson replaces Sebastian Larsson.
    • 66' The crowd are still chanting Shevchenko's name. And I'm still going on about it because there's not a great deal happening on the pitch.
    • 64' That second goal raised the roof off the Olympic Stadium. The TV cameras got a great shot of a kid in a Ukraine shirt, seemingly frozen with his mouth open in sheer joy. Nice. Sheva, bloody hell.
    • 63' Our man in Ukraine, Tom Adams, tweets: "Fireworks have gone off somewhere near us in Donetsk after both those Shevchenko goals. #scenes"
    • 62' It was Ibrahimovic who was meant to be marking Sheva (why???) and he just gave him a yard. The header squeezed between the near post and the man supposedly guarding it.
    • 61' GOAL!! SHEVA AGAIN! AMAZING! Konoplyanka whips an inswinging corner to the near post from the left, and the Ukraine number seven glances it in at the near post!
    • 60' Voronin receives it with his back to goal inside the box.. the spins and fires goalwards... Lustig clears for a corner.
    • 59' Ukraine lead the pass count by 233 to 160. Feels more even than that.
    • 57' Ukraine rampant as Konoplyanka races down the left and looks for support... cleared for a corner.
    • 56' What a moment that was for Ukraine! Shevchenko is unquestionably the country's best player since achieving independence. That gives him 47 goals from 109 caps. What a man.
    • 55' GOAL!! ANDRIY SHEVCHENKO!! Delirium in Kiev as the great man heads home the equaliser! A simple goal as he gets goalside of Mellberg and heads Yarmolenko's cross past Isaksson!
    • 54' Well done Isaksson, leaping high to claim a swirling cross from the Ukraine right.
    • 53' The home fans are not at all happy that Ukraine played on, but they had every right to do so as Selin was not seriously hurt. A neat finish from Ibrahimovic.
    • 52' GOAL! ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC! He slots home deftly from close range from Kallstrom's low cross from the left! But controversy because Selin was down on the turf for Ukraine!
    • 51' Another Ukrainian down now as Sweden build with Larsson. Danger here...
    • 50' Sheva is back up and ready to play on. The replay suggests it is a dead leg.
    • 49' Shevchenko is lying face down on the turf - not sure what the issue is. The Ukraine physio is administering a liberal dose of magic spray.
    • 48' Larsson picks Nazarenko's pocket and Sweden build... it falls for Rosenberg on the right, whose low blast is blocked superbly by Mikhalik!
    • 47' Ibra continues to play very deep for Sweden - often pulling back to the same point as the other central midfielders Kallstrom and Elm.
    • 46' Second half under way, and already Ukraine are on the attack. Shevchenko lifts the ball into the box from the right... but Sweden scramble it clear.
    • 45+1' That's half-time. No goals, but chances at either end, and this is well-matched. Ibrahimovic and Shevchenko both misfiring.
    • 45' One minute of added time to be played - both teams apparently playing for the break now.
    • 44' Neither side particularly adventurous in these closing stages of the first half. Ukraine knocking it about comfortably but unthreateningly.
    • 43' A couple of minutes until the end of a first half that has flowed, with very few stoppages.
    • 42' This game has really come alive in the last 10 minutes. Chances for both sides and a very well-matched contest.
    • 41' Gusev gets to the byline on the right and clips the ball to the far post where the waiting Konplyanka gets underneath his volley and sends it high into the crowd!
    • 39' FREE HEADER IBRAHIMOVIC!! He is picked out unmarked at the far post and heads back across goal, but watches aghast as the ball grazes the far post and goes wide.
    • 39' Confusion at the back from Ukraine - a lazy backpass plays Pyatov into trouble but he just gets to it ahead of Rosenberg.
    • 38' Voronin feeds Shevchenko whose shot is blocked by Mellberg... another chance falls to Yarmolenko who is denied by some more heroic last-ditch stuff from Sweden.
    • 37' Ambitious effort from Konoplyanka, who cuts inside from the left and goes for the top-right corner. It doesn't miss by much, and had it been on target there's no way Isaksson was getting to it.
    • 36' Great run from Ibra as he drives into the box... but he spoils it by trying to beat one man too many and the opportunity goes astray.
    • 35' Lovely, slick move through the middle from Ukraine - Voronin goes for goal with a long shot that nearly catches Isaksson out, and the goalkeeper parries it to relative safety.
    • 34' Ibra chases a crossfield ball to the left... he cannot bring it under control and the ball goes out for a Swedish throw.
    • 33' Whistles ring out as Olsson wins a free-kick... it looks like the tackler won the ball, but the Turkish ref Cuneyt Cakir does not agree.
    • 32' Sweden build down the right... but this time the run of Rosenberg cannnot be found.
    • 31' Rosenberg's shot should present Pyatov with no problem, but he spills it. Ukraine's three best goalkeepers are out of this tournament, either due to injury or a doping ban.
    • 30' Rosenberg is down after a coming-together with Mikhalik - free-kick for Sweden... Ibrahimovic strikes it miles off target.
    • 29' Ukraine win a free-kick 40 yards from goal on the left-hand side... delivered right-footed by Nazarenko, but Isaksson is presented with an easy catch.
    • 27' Some strangely 'arty' work by the director, focusing on a shot of a ladybird as Ukraine prepare to defend a corner. Which they do.
    • 26' Whistles as Sweden build... Olsson crosses from the left and it is deflected behind for a corner.
    • 25' A decent spell for Ukraine now. Previously, Sweden had started to exert some authority, with Zlatan dropping deep and seeing much more of the ball.
    • 24' Kncoked long for Voronin, but the ball sails through to Isaksson.
    • 23' What a chance for Shevchenko! He is clear through the right channel, but drags his side disappointingly wide of the far post! A real opportunity for the elder statesman of Ukrainian football.
    • 22' Offside at the other end, as Sheva strays beyond the last man...
    • 21' Knocked forward to Rosenberg, who strays just offside. Ukraine will clear.
    • 19' Yevhen Khacheridi has stayed down after colliding with Ibrahimovic. Zlatan was actually double-teamed. Meanwhile, Kallstrom winds tape around his lower legs.
    • 18' Come on, a Mexican wave?! Yes, there is.
    • 17' Chance! The ball pinballs around the box as Pyatov punches Ibra's cross, but the hosts survive! There was some holding in the box as well...
    • 16' Ukraine win a free-kick now, just inside the Sweden half. Played short, then backwards. That's a waste.
    • 15' A wasted free-kick from Larsson, who overhits it, and Ibrahimovic cannot keep the ball in.
    • 14' Haven't seen much of Shevchenko either tonight - in his advanced years, he has very much taken on the mantle of goal poacher.
    • 13' Ukraine build down the left, then switch it to Husyev... good defending by Martin Olsson.
    • 11' As the ball comes in, Ibrahimovic tumbles to the ground... no real penalty appeal from the Swedes.
    • 10' Sweden free-kick 40 yards from goal - Larsson to swing one in from the left.
    • 9' Ukraine are passing the ball around with some authority. They have a fairly hopeless FIFA ranking of 52, but they look the more confident side here.
    • 8' Tremendous racket being made by the Ukraine fans. And though they're hard to spot because everyone is wearing yellow, the Swedes appear to be out in force, too.
    • 7' The other players to feature in four European Championships - Lothar Matthäus, Peter Schmeichel, Alessandro Del Piero, Edwin van der Sar and Lilian Thuram. Thanks to Infostrada for that one.
    • 6' Olof Mellberg tonight becomes the sixth player to feature in four European Championships finals. The others?
    • 5' Yevhen Konoplyanka has a shot from 30 yards, but he hooks his shot well wide of the target.
    • 4' Yet to see Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the ball. He is in the hole behind Marcus Rosenberg. Personally, I'd rather see him playing all the way up front.
    • 3' The game's first free-kick goes Ukraine's way, and their goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov booms it away downfield.
    • 2'
    • 2' I'm so fed up with writing 'a cagey start', I'm just going to say nothing...
    • 1' Sweden kick off! They are playing from right to left in a very fetching blue change strip with a yellow sash. Ukraine all in yellow.
    • 19:42 Out come the teams to a terrific reception. This is the biggest moment in the history of the Ukraine national team - their first match in a major championship on home soil!
    • 19:40 There is quite a noise inside Kiev's Olympic Stadium - both sets of fans clad in yellow. This is a sell-out, unlike the France-England game.
    • 19:35 The match odds: Ukraine 8/5, Sweden 15/8, Draw 9/4 (Bet365). Post your predictions below...
    • 19:30 Andriy Shevchenko, who has been battling for fitness all season, is named in Ukraine's starting line-up. Shevchenko, who was not even sure he would be even picked in the squad by coach Oleg Blokhin, will partner Andriy Voronin up front. His Sweden counterpart Erik Hamren is resting forward Johan Elmander with Markus Rosenberg being awarded a place in the starting line-up as a lone striker.
    • 19:25 The Swedes have won their opening group stage game at the last two Euros (5-0 v Bulgaria in 2004, 2-0 v Greece in 2008).
    • 19:20 The last side to win a European Championship finals tournament that they hosted were France in 1984. None of the last eight hosts have won the tournament in their home nation, while only one of those (Portugal in 2004) have reached the final.
    • 19:15 Sweden usually guarantee a goal or two: Erik Hamren's side scored 31 goals in qualifying with only the Netherlands (37) and Germany (34) more prolific.
    • 19:10 SWEDEN: Isaksson, Lustig, Mellberg, Granqvist, M. Olsson, Elm, Larsson, Kallstrom, Ibrahimovic, Toivonen, Rosenberg. Subs: Wiland, Hansson, J. Olsson, Antonsson, Safari, Svensson, Wernbloom, Holmen, Bajrami, Wilhelmsson, Elmander, Hysen /// UKRAINE: Pyatov, Selin, Khacheridi, Mikhalik, Tymoshchuk, Gusev, Yarmolenko, Nazarenko, Konoplyanka, Shevchenko, Voronin. Subs: Koval, Goryainov, Kucher, Shevchuk, Rakitskiy, Butko, Garmash, Aliyev, Rotan, Milevskiy, Seleznyov, Devic
    • 19:05 Oleg Blokhin: "We're like a good horse. The players are champing at the bit and I need to keep them calm. Sometimes young players think they can do more than they can. At a tournament like this leaders should emerge. But youth can get the better of them and it's very hard to make them play defensively. They're young and hot."
    • 19:00 Erik Hamren: “I have no problems sleeping at night. I don't lie awake watching videos or DVDs. And when I sleep I dream that we win, and when I wake up, I wake up happy. When the players rest...I'll rest too, and maybe I'll dream. That's the important thing with dreams - a wise man once said that if you're going to realise your dreams, you have to be awake. I hope in some way to experience us achieving our dreams."
    • 18:55 It has not all been easy going for the Euro 2012 co-hosts. Ukraine faced a boycott over its record on democracy and human rights on Monday while Poland braced itself for a planned march by about 5,000 Russian fans through Warsaw. Read all about it...
    • 18:50 The first match in Group D saw England and France share a pretty dour 1-1 draw in Donetsk, so let's hope for a bit better in this second encounter. England 1-1 France
    • 18:45 Good evening and welcome to our LIVE commentary of the Euro 2012 Group D match between Ukraine and Sweden at the Olimpiyskyi, Kiev.
