    • 90' Thanks for joining us here on Eurosport for what has been an entertaining contest at St Andrews, see you again soon.
    • 90' it is Birmingham's first ever home defeat in Europe but it is not an entirely unexpected one.
    • 90' There is the final whistle and Braga have picked up the three points against a brave Birmingham side that have fought hard all evening
    • 90+2' Alan is very adept at winning free kicks, he picks up another one against Redmond on the halfway line as the match draws to a close
    • 90+1' Two minutes of injury time to be played
    • 90' Barbosa's work here is done as he comes off for Paulo Cesar
    • 89' GOAL FOR BRAGA!!!! Birmingham's brave fight is over now. They looked like they might just pinch an equaliser but Carlao beat the offside trap and got behind the defence, he unselfishly squared it for Helder Barbosa who finished emphatically from close range.
    • 88' Viana gets forward for Braga and produces a good strike, it is straight at Myhill from 25 yards though, easy for the keeper
    • 87' Murphy tries a delicate curler over the wall but he doesn't quite get the dip on it and he sends it over the crossbar
    • 86' Long ball up towards Wood and Vinicius is all over him on the edge of the box, free-kick in a very dangerous area.
    • 85' Pablo wins the header in the crowd in the penalty box but after a bit of a scramble on the deck Quim comes away with it
    • 84' Murphy is hacked down by Alan on the half-way line, the home team send the big men forward for the free-kick
    • 83' On comes Carlao for Lima to sure Braga up at the back
    • 82' That was a fabulous effort from Redmond!! Maybe he should shoot and not cross more often, first time curling effort that was heading into the top corner from 25 yards. Quim makes a good diving save.
    • 81' Redmond again a threat on the left but again his delivery is not good enough, it is cut out at the near post
    • 80' Ridgewell stays forward but as he challenges with Alan the Braga man goes to ground and wins a free-kick, Ridgewell remonstrates with the referee and is booked
    • 79' Good corner from Elliot, Quim doesn't get there but Viana does and hooks it clear
    • 78' Another cross from the right ends up at the feet of Redmond at the back stick, his effort is deflected behind for a corner
    • 77' Burke rather blots his copybook there after a good start as he runs the ball straight out of play on the right when Birmingham were getting forward in numbers
    • 76' Good break from Carr down the right, his cross is deep and finds Redmond at the back post, then his cross is cut out, eventually it falls for King who strikes from range but it is straight at Quim
    • 75' Braga have responded well to the Birmingham goal, not letting them get any momentum together and keeping possession pretty well
    • 74' On comes defensive midfielder Salino for Nuno Gomes
    • 72' Braga straight on the attack to re-establish their two goal lead and it is good work from Alan on the right but they can't make any space on the edge of the back and Burke does well getting back and winning a goal-kick
    • 71' GOAL FOR BIRMINGHAM!!! Great break from Birmingham, Burke shows some real pace to get round Elderson on the right of the box and he squares it perfectly for King to tap in at the back post, good goal.
    • 70' Baiano gets forward well from right back and is strangley unchallenged as he makes his way into the box, he slides in Barbosa who gets a shot off but Myhill is down well to keep it out
    • 69' Braga clear the corner and break with pace, Viana slides a lovely ball to Lima who hits a powerful shot but straight at Myhill who beats it away
    • 68' A cross from the left is half blocked and it eventually falls to Burke on the edge of the box, his shot is deflected behind for a corner
    • 67' Redmond is still full of energy as he skips by two challenges 25 yards from goal but his powerful drive is blocked on the edge of the box
    • 65' Real chance for Wood there as Quim mis-hits a clearance and it falls to the New Zealander on the edge of the box, he just can't get it out of his feet though and he is closed down and dispossessed
    • 64' Birmingham seem a little short of ideas going forward, they aren't holding onto possession too well and they don't have a focal point of attack despite the introduction of Wood
    • 63' Nuno Gomes strays offside as he looks to latch onto a long ball, he has done very little upfront for Braga this evening.
    • 62' Redmond again getting into good areas on the left and cuts onto his right foot but his cross again is blocked, he tracks back with Alan but ends up bringing down the Braga captain
    • 60' Hughton responds to the second goal by taking off Rooney and N'Daw and throwing on Burke and Wood
    • 59' GOAL FOR BRAGA!!! Birmingham were looking comfortable there but an Elderson cross towards Alan in the middle was not properly defended and it fell very kindly for Lima who lashed it home from eight yards to make it 2-0.
    • 57' Redmond tees up Elliot 30 yards from goal and he has another lash at it but again it is a poor effort and it flies well wide
    • 56' Baiano with a decent looking cross from the right but Myhill is out well to come and claim it, he looks for a swift release but there are no options for him
    • 55' Redmond throws in a decent ball there towards Rooney, he jumps for the ball but doesn't time his leap well, it comes off his back and goes for a goal-kick
    • 54' Marlon King is becoming a bit frustrated with the referee, he is again penalised for some over-physicality which he would probably get away with in the league, but not here.
    • 53' Despite looking dangerous, Redmond has failed to create much on the left, another pass goes astray and Birmingham lose possession again
    • 51' Strong challenge from Pablo Ibanez on Gomes gets a big cheer from the crowd
    • 50' Elliot does well to get on the end of a ball down the left channel but completley mis-controls his second touch and it goes out for a goal-kick, he hasn't had a great game so far
    • 49' Spector is penalised for a slightly late challenge on Alan on the halfway line
    • 48' Elliot fancies his chances from range though as he gets a yard of space 25 yards from goal on his left foot, his shot is blocked though
    • 47' Braga starting the second half on the front foot and they have the better of the early ball but without really threatening.
    • 46' Braga get the second half underway
    • 45' Birmingham are still right in the game despite the early set back, can they break down the Portuguese defence? We will have to wait and see
    • 45' There is the half time whistle
    • 45+2' Lima very blatantly uses his arm to control a long ball forward, a harsher referee would have issued him a second yellow card there
    • 45+1' Two minutes of added time to be played
    • 45' King wins a free-kick on the edge of the box and takes it himself, it is a poor one though, straight into the wall and it is cleared.
    • 44' Little by way of goal mouth action here, plenty of effort, especially from the home side, but a distinct lack of quality.
    • 43' Spector plays a great through ball from deep to find King bursting into the box, he is going away from goal though and hits a shot on the turn, it ends up well wide
    • 42' Similar situation as Elderson goes in on Elliot on the half way line, free kick to the Blues.
    • 41' N'Daw is just slightly late on Djamal and he gives away a free-kick in the centre circle, no malice just not quick enough
    • 40' The home team get forward again encouragingly but again they are sloppy in possession, Elliot tries to get Carr in on the overlap but his pass is awful and they lose the ball again.
    • 39' The free-kick is deep and Rooney is back there defending, he very calmly nods it back to the keeper from close range, brave stuff from the centre-forward
    • 38' The resulting goal-kick is long and Ridgewell goes up for it but is penalised for a wayward arm when challenging Lima, free-kick to Braga.
    • 37' Birmingham win the header on the half way line but again their delivery is poor as Elliot swings in a cross which floats straight behind the goal.
    • 36' Quim is back on his feet and takes the free-kick inside his own box
    • 35' Ridgewell throws a long ball forward towards King who gets his foot to it but it was a very difficult one to control or shoot, he ends up popping it up into the air and Quim holds. Rooney clatters into him unnecessarily and is booked.
    • 34' Birmingham in the ascendency at the moment but their final ball is proving to be very poor. Redmond the latest to swing in a cross which is far too close to Quim who holds it.
    • 33' Carr is proving a dangerous looking but ineffective outlet for Birmingham, again he gets forward at pace down the right into space, but again his cross is really poor and easily cleared
    • 32' Both teams lokoing to get the ball forward quickly, not so much long ball football but direct and at pace
    • 31' Carr bursts forward as Birmingham look to be in a good position to break, he tries to slide in King but his pass is badly mis-hit and the chance is over.
    • 30' Rooney chases down a ball in to the left channel, Vinícius beats him to it and the Birmingham man gives him a shove in the back, conceding the free-kick.
    • 29' Elderson gets forward for the first time for Braga but his cross is woeful, high and wide into the stands behind the goal.
    • 28' Ibanez goes through the back of Nuno Gomes just inside the Birmingham half, he is lucky to avoid a booking there
    • 27' Redmond continues to look the most dangerous of the Birmingham players, but he is being closed down well on the left when he gets on the ball, negating his great pace
    • 26' Lima tries a fairly outrageous effort from 35 yards, but it is very easy for Myhill, straight at him and not hit with great pace.
    • 25' Viana tries to find Lima with a cross from the left, he knew he was offside so left it and it goes for a throw-in deep in the home side's half, it is no trouble for them though as they clear effectively.
    • 24' Braga controlling possession now, they look comfortable on the ball, despite the pressing of the home side
    • 23' Alan powers in the free-kick at head height. It finds a Braga head but it is very hard to direct at that pace and it flies behind for a goal-kick
    • 22' Carr is penalised by an increasingly officious looking referee for a slight push on Barbosa, Braga free-kick out on the left wing.
    • 21' Elliot curls in the free-kick and Rooney flicks it on at the near-post but his effort clears the bar, not by much though. Birmingham showing they can threaten.
    • 20' Long throw down the line from Murphy and Baiano shoves Rooney in the back to give away a needless free-kick
    • 19' The game resumes as Birmingham play the ball back to Braga sportingly, N'Daw returns to the action.
    • 18' N'Daw receiving treatment now as the game is halted.
    • 17' N'Daw is down and seems to be hurt quite badly. He crashed into Spector as they both went for a header and he has come off worst of the two Birmingham men.
    • 16' Lima and Ridgewell jump for a high ball forward and the Braga man's elbow catches Risgewell in the jaw, not sure it was deliberate but he gets a yellow card.
    • 15' Redmond shows great pace and trickery and looks dangerous on the left, Baiano does enough though and makes a clearance.
    • 14' The pace has slowed a little after a frantic opening which saw chances for both teams, there still seems to be a lot of space to play in for both sides though
    • 13' Birmingham are looking reasonably dangerous on the attack themselves though, Redmond tries a curling effort on his right foot from the left of the area which Quim does well to beat away.
    • 12' The next corner is much more convincingly dealt with by Stephen Carr and he powerfully heads away
    • 11' Really good corner whipped in under the crossbar which has Myhill struggling, he just manages to tip it out for another corner, Birmingham looking a bit ragged early on.
    • 10' Hugo Viana whips is over the wall and Myhill has to get down low to push away the effort. Braga look a different class here.
    • 9' Spector gives a ball away cheaply and Braga storm forward and Birmingham have to concede a free on the edge of the D.
    • 8' The home fans looking to roar their side back into this.
    • 6' STUNNING GOAL FROM BRAGA!!!! Helder Barbosa with a side footed guided volley into the top corner after a cross from Elderson. Touch of quality that.
    • 4' WHAT A MISS FROM ROONEY!!! Marlon King with a superb run down the right after Elliott broke up the play well – he then put across a perfect low cross from the Irish striker but he somehow put it wide.
    • 3' Marlon King throwing himself around up front but he has just been charged with a foul.
    • 2' Birmingham looking to produce a high tempo start against a side who you would imagine would have the technical edge.
    • 1' And Birmingham get us underway…
    • 20:03 Cracking atmosphere inside the ground as the two sides come out.
    • 20:00 The Blues have made seven changes from the side that beat Millwall on Sunday, including dropping hat-trick hero Chris Wood to the bench
    • 19:55 Referee tonight is Deniz Aytekin (Germany)
    • 19:50 Braga have started well in Portugal having won three of their opening four games. SuperLiga table
    • 19:45 Chris Hughton: "Can (the Europa League) be a hindrance? Yes, it can be. But if you looked at the atmosphere and what the players gave in the home (qualifying) game with Nacional to get us to this stage, I don't think you would have seen it as a hindrance then. It's a competition that opens doors for the players, takes them to a different stage, and of course of what it does for the club.
