    • Dynamo Kiev
    • Stoke City
    • 90' Thanks for joining us here for what has been a great game, stay around for Birmingham's game with Braga
    • 90' Stoke have defended heroically here tonight and came so close to getting all three points, they will be disappointed now but will be pleased with the point in the long run
    • 90+4' Aliyev strikes it right-footed but straight into the wall and it is all over with that
    • 90+3' Shawcross pulls down Brown on the edge of the box. Free-kick in a very dangerous position for Kiev.
    • 90+2' Kiev back on the attack looking for a winner, the ball finds Brown in the box but his effort on the turn is wide of the post.
    • 90+1' GOAL FOR DYNAMO KIEV!!! Heart-break for Stoke as a long ball into the box breaks to Yarmolenko on the left and he slides it back aross goal and Vukojevic was there at the back post to turn it into an empty net.
    • 90+1' There will be three minutes of added time.
    • 90' Aliyev with yet another shot from range, this one flies wide of the right hand post.
    • 90' Really good chance for Brown to equalise. Great cross from the right from Silva finds the substitute on the edge of the six yard box. He was under pressure but his header was poor and straight at Sorensen.
    • 89' Shawcross penalised for holding Milevskiy just inside his own half.
    • 88' Jonathan Walters is on in place of Wilson Palacios
    • 87' Popov breaking down the left again, Whitehead defends well though and manages to win a goal-kick. Popov punts the corner flag in disgust.
    • 86' Decent break from Stoke as Pennant picks out Jones on the left of the box, he chooses to hit it early on his left foot but it is comfortable for Shovkovskiy
    • 85' Really good one touch build up from Kiev sees Aliyev in a great position on the right, he had Shevchenko in space to lay it off to but he tried to fire it across to Popov on the far side. His pass was poor and Whitehead brings it away.
    • 84' Dynamo back on the attack but Stoke are standing firm, two crosses are powered away and Yarmolenko resorts to a shot from range again, but again it is wild and way over.
    • 83' Good spell of keep-ball from Stoke, and crucially in the opposition half.
    • 82' On comes Dean Whitehead for Ryan Shotton
    • 81' BIG CHANCE FOR DYNAMO!!! Shevchenko is found in space on the left from a diagonal ball and he bursts into the box. Everyone expected him to finish it off himself but he tries to find Brown in the middle and it runs out for a goal-kick. Very poor decision making from the former AC Milan man.
    • 80' Stoke on the break again as Jones latches onto a clearance, knocking it past Yussuf, Betao races back to make the challenge though as he was pulling the trigger. Goal saving challenge.
    • 79' Jones looks to win a free-kick on the break as he knocks the ball past Yussuf and goes down, it would have been very soft, probably wasn't a foul
    • 78' CROSSBAR FROM ALIYEV!!! He is loving the long range shots and is latest is his best. Shevchenko slides the ball to him 20 yards out and he hammers in a strike that is dipping, but not enough, it pings off the crossbar and behind.
    • 77' Pennant is playing in an advanced role, it seems he has been introduced to add fresh legs and pressure the Kiev back line
    • 76' The goal scorer Jerome is replaced by Jermaine Pennant
    • 76' On comes Ideye Brown for the half-time substitute Haruna, odd choice
    • 75' The substitute Aliyev really does fancy himself from range, he tries again from 35 yards. It is a decent effort, on target, but comfortable for Sorensen.
    • 74' Aliyev swings it in right footed from the left, Sorensen palms it away. It is played back to Milevskiy but his shot is blocked by a huddle of Stoke players.
    • 73' Poor from Shotton there as he tries to pinch the ball infront of Shevchenko and lets the veteran striker get behind him, Upson comes across to deal with it though. Kiev have the corner.
    • 72' Jerome very harshly penalised as he breaks down the right, Popov cuts across his run and falls down. It didn't look like a free-kick to me.
    • 71' Haruna the latest to have an effort from a long way out as Kiev look increasingly desperate. It is a long way wide.
    • 70' The game is getting really stretched now, Aliyev chips a very well judged ball over the Stoke back line and Shevchenko goes for a spectacular first-time volley as it drops over his shoulder, it is just over the bar though
    • 69' Stoke are being afforded much more space when they can break as Kiev push for the equaliser. Jones gets on the ball in the box but is well closed out and the ball is cleared.
    • 68' It looked like Palacios had some space to break into there but the referee gave a late decision against Glenn Whelan for going in a fraction late on Vukojevic, soft decision there
    • 67' Haruna the latest to go into the book as he concedes a free-kick and throws the ball away in disgust.
    • 66' Desperate defending from Stoke as the cross comes in, Kiev win the ball at the back post but the knock down doesn't land at a team mates feet despite bobbling around for seemingly forever. Stoke hack it clear.
    • 65' Aliyev resorts to a long range shot but it is a good one, Sorensen turns it round the corner down to his left
    • 64' Kiev looking very frustrated with how this game is going, Stoke's level of discipline is something they might not have come up against for a while
    • 63' Dynamo doing their best to try all routes to goal here, a long ball over the top for Shevchenko to chase the latest one but it skips through to Sorensen
    • 62' Aliyev picks out Shevchenko at the near post but he can't flick it goalwards and it goes for a goal-kick
    • 61' Shevchenko and Shotton tustle for the ball on the Kiev left, Shotton adjudged to have tustled too hard and Dynamo have the free-kick.
    • 60' Lapse in concentration there as Popov puts in a great cross from the left straight onto the head of Shevchenko who was unmarked. His header is straight at Sorensen though.
    • 59' Stoke back to defending deep and doing it well, Shevchenko chases a through ball but Upson is there to make the clearance.
    • 58' Aliyev comes on for Ninkovic
    • 57' Popov and Jones clash as they challenge for the ball. Popov seems to shove the striker over and is booked for it.
    • 56' Dynamo will be forced to up their tempo now, they have been completely in control but now find themselves behind. What can they produce?
    • 55' GOAL FOR STOKE!!!! Stoke have put together a perfect counter-attack and taken the lead against the run of play. Shotton overlaps on the right after being played in by Jones, he gets to the bye-line and fires it across to the waiting Jerome, he calmly controls it and rifles it into the roof of the net. Great goal.
    • 54' Really solid defending again from Stoke. Shotton heads a cross clear, Palacios goes for the second ball but is knocked over by Yarmolenko, free-kick to Stoke.
    • 53' Yarmolenko goes down heavily after a challenge from Shotton, it was perfectly legal though despite what the Kiev man is suggesting, the referee does well.
    • 52' Decent effort from Milevskiy as Shevchenko tees him up on the edge of the box, he drags it slightly though and it goes wide of the left hand post
    • 51' Solid advance up the field from Stoke with a series of throw-ins on the left, they are wasted though eventually as it runs out for a goal-kick
    • 50' Shottin cuts back in from the right and Milevskiy catches him late, rightfully going in the book
    • 49' The second half looks a more open one already, Yarmolenko gets in space on the left but his cross is comfortably held by Sorensen
    • 48' Whelan's corner is well punched clear by Shovkovskiy, dominant goalkeeping there
    • 47' Wilkinson gets forward well and slides in Jerome in the inside left channel, he gets to the bye-line but his cut back is blocked, running out for a corner
    • 47' Lukman Haruna has come on for Denys Garmash at half time
    • 46' Dynamo Kiev get the second half underway
    • 45' Stoke have offered very little going forward but they have been solid at the back. Kiev are struggling to find a way through but with four men on a booking for the visitors and the referee looking happy to dish them out at will, they could lose a man which would make everything a lot more difficult.
    • 45' There is the half time whistle.
    • 45' A hat-trick of cards for the referee as Huth goes for a clearance, Garmash lunges to make the block but scythes the German down. Three bookings in as many minutes.
    • 44' Huth the latest to go into the book as Yarmolenko skips past him and the German is late with his sliding challenge. All three of the back three now in the book.
    • 43' The ball is rolled into Milevskiy 10 yards inside the Stoke half and Upson goes straight through the back of him. Yellow card.
    • 42' The kick is aimed at Jones who wins it in the air, nodding it across goal but it doesn't fall to a Stoke man, Kiev get the ball clear.
    • 41' Really clumsy from Yarmolenko on Palacios in the middle of midfield. He is furious but has no right to be. Whelan is over the free kick
    • 40' Shevchenko again lines up the free-kick, he doesn't try and power it this tiem but goes to curl it, again it hits the wall though
    • 39' The free-kick is easily cleared and Kiev break at pace, Shawcross mistimes a tackle on Ninkovic on the edge of his own box and is booked for his troubles
    • 38' Milevskiy goes in late on Whelan and Jerome isn't impressed and a little bit of handbags ensues, nothing comes of it though.
    • 37' Kiev with another shot from long range, this time from Garmash but again it is well wide of the post
    • 36' Wilkinson with a foray forward and gets the ball in towards Jones, the big striker is penalised for climbing on Yussuf though, free-kick
    • 35' Stoke are struggling to get any possession at all at the moment. They are playing higher up the pitch now which is an improvement, but they are seeing very little of the ball.
    • 34' Good build up from Kiev is worked out to Silva on the right, his ball into the box finds Milevskiy but his toe-poke is straight at Sorensen. He can't hold it but is quick to dive on the rebound.
    • 33' Stoke starting to press higher up the pitch, which they will have to just to keep Kiev away from shooting range. Jones and Jerome are working very hard up front for little reward.
    • 32' Yarmolenko continually looks to cut in from the right onto his left foot, he can't find any space though. He tries to slide in Shevchenko but it is blocked and rebounds into his arm. Free-kick for Stoke.
    • 31' Jones is tripped by Garmash and Whelan chips in the resulting free-kick, it is easily cleared though
    • 30' Shevchenko lines up the free-kick which is from about 30 yards. He hits it well but it is straight into the wall.
    • 29' Diao is living dangerously here, he is tugging Milevskiy's shirt very obviously and a free-kick is given
    • 28' Ninkovic with a well struck shot from range, it is straight at Sorensen though and he holds it comfortably
    • 27' Typically strong challenge from Wilkinson on Silva as he looked to get forward on the right, it is clean though as it runs out for a throw in
    • 26' Stoke seem to have weathered the early storm now and it looks a much more even game being played at both ends of the pitch rather than exclusively infront of the Stoke penalty box.
    • 25' Clear foul on Jones on the half way line as Yussuf hauls him down, Stoke show their confidence by playing it short and getting back on with the game
    • 24' Much better this from Stoke. Palacios slides a good ball behind the defence which Jerome latches onto but his control is poor and allows the defence to get back and make a clearance.
    • 23' Yes he can! Very good cross this time, it is half punched clear by Shovkovskiy but only to Shotton who drives a shot in, it hits a Stoke man in the crowd though and goes for a goal kick
    • 22' More good work from Jerome wins Stoke another corner though, can Whelan do better?
    • 21' You feel corners will be Stoke's best chance to grab a goal tonight but not if they are like that all night, Whelan's cross doesn't beat the near post
    • 20' Cameron Jerome with his first involvement really as he makes a nuisance of himself on the goal kick clearance and wins a corner
    • 19' WHAT A CHANCE!!! Popov drives in a shot from 25 yards which was brilliantly hit and well saved by Sorensen, it falls straight to Yarmolenko though six yards out and he scuffs his shot wide with the goal prone. Awful effort.
    • 18' Stoke win a throw in deep into the Kiev half and it offers them some respite, they aren't keeping possession well though when they do have it, this will need to improve.
    • 17' Milevskiy just over runs a pass looking to pick the lock of the Stoke back line, it runs through for a goal kick
    • 16' Stoke struggling to get out of their own half here, whether they can keep Kiev out for 90 minutes playing like this is very doubtful
    • 15' Poor challenge from Salif Diao, late and hard on Garmash, the referee does not wait and produces the yellow card
    • 14' The corner is played short again and Stoke pressure the ball well, forcing Kiev right back into their own half
    • 13' Crosses come in from both flanks but the back three deal with them well, it is nodded behind for a corner
    • 12' Stoke seem to have dropped into a 5-3-2 formation, with Shawcross, Huth and Upson as the three central defenders. Diao, Palacios and Whelan just in front of them. It leaves them quite narrow and very deep.
    • 11' Rather clumsy challenge from Garmash as he blocks off Diao when he was chasing a loose ball. The Kiev man came off worse from the clash and gives away the free-kick.
    • 10' It is more of the same as Kiev continue to have all the ball and Stoke drop off. They are yet to find a way through as yet.
    • 9' The corner is played short and Shevchenko hammers in a shot towards the far corner from the angle of the box, it flies just wide.
    • 8' Kiev showing attacking intent here, Popov wins the first corner of the match on the left
    • 7' Garmash the next to try an effort from range, on his right from 25 yards but that is equally poorly hit and finishes well wide of the left hand post.
    • 6' Yarmolenko witht he first shot in anger on his left cutting in from the right but he drags it well wide of the near post.
    • 5' Shotton has learned from Rory Delap and he throws in a long throw from the right, it is a little too long though and straight into the hands of Shovkovskiy
    • 4' Dynamo with the first piece of attacking play as Popov breaks on the left and gets a cross in but Sorensen is there to claim it well
    • 3' Stoke are playing very deep indeed, their midfield four are only just in front of their own defence. They don't mint Kiev passing it around in front of them
    • 2' Dynamo are enjoying the early possession and Stoke are happy to let them have it in their own half at this stage
    • 1' Kenwyne Jones gets the game underway
    • 18.00 Captains Olexandr Shovkovski and Ryan Shawcros shake hands and it is Stoke who will kick-off
    • 17.58 The teams are on their way out in the Valeriy Lobanovskiy Stadium and we are moments away from kick-off.
    • 17.55 Stoke manager Tony Pulis is making his continental coaching debut this season, his only previous involvement in European competition came as a youth player; he featured for Wales as a defender in seven International Youth Tournament games in 1975 and 1976.
    • 17.52 Stoke's Danish goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen came up against his Dynamo counterpart Olexandr Shovkovskiy in a 1-1 draw between Denmark and Ukraine in 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifying in Copenhagen.
    • 17.50 In Stoke's eight games so far this season (four in the Premier League and four in the Europa League qualifiers) they have conceded only two goals, neither of which came in their away games in this competition. They have only scored 10 goals in those games as well, so the strong defence has been key.
    • 17.45 A 2-0 defeat against FC Rubin Kazan in this season's UEFA Champions League third qualifying round was Dynamo's only loss in their last 10 home games in Europe, with their record in that period reading W5 D4 L1.
    • 17.40 Dynamo Kiev have made a typically strong start to their Ukranian Premier League season as they are undefeated after nine game, winning seven and drawing two. They sit second, only behind Shakhtar Donetsk on goal difference. Stoke have had an encouraging start to their campaign as well, winning two and drawing two of their first four and sitting in fifth position.
    • 17.35 Stoke have chosen to only name five substitutes tonight compared to Dynamo's seven. The Stoke bench includes: Nash, Pennant, Whitehead, Arismendi and Walters. Dynamo's subs are: Koval, Khacheridi, Aliev, Haruna, Correa, Dudu Rodrigues and Brown
    • 17.30 Unsurprisingly these two teams have never met in the past and in fact Stoke have never faced any team from Ukraine. Dynamo Kiev have played English teams 20 times in the past though, winning four, drawing five and losing 11.
    • 17.25 Group E also includes Turkish side Besiktas and Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv who face off in Istanbul tonight. It certainly is a lot of travelling for Stoke in this year's competition, as Tony Pulis eluded to with these comments: Pulis upbeat as European odyssey begins
    • 17.20 Very strong teams fielded by both clubs with Stoke choosing to deploy two strikers in the forms of Cameron Jerome and Kenwynne Jones. Peter Crouch had to stay behind due to an injury he picked up earlier in the week.
    • 17.16 Stoke City: Sorensen, Huth, Shawcross, Upson, Wilkinson, Shotton, Whelan, Diao, Palacios, Jones, Jerome
    • 17.15 The teams are in: Dynamo Kiev: Shovkovski, Danilo Silva, Betao, Popov, Vukojevic, Garmash, Ninkovic, Yussuf, Shevchenko, Yarmolenko, Milevskiy
    • 17.10 Good afternoon and welcome to our coverage of Dynamo Kiev v Stoke City in Group E of the Europa League from the Lobanovskyi Stadium.
  • Summary

    • 90+1' GOAL FOR DYNAMO KIEV!!! Heart-break for Stoke as a long ball into the box breaks to Yarmolenko on the left and he slides it back aross goal and Vukojevic was there at the back post to turn it into an empty net.
    • 90' Aliyev with yet another shot from range, this one flies wide of the right hand post.
