    Time:90'
    • Rubin Kazan
    • Tottenham Hotspur
    • 90+4' The final whistle goes and Rubin have claimed a vital win! This tough away trip was perhaps a bridge too far for the youngsters in their team.
    • 90+1' Four minutes of stoppage time to be played. Substitute Eremenko is booked for tugging on Kane's shirt.
    • 90' Kane's cross loops off a defender's leg and drops for Falque inside the Rubin box, but again the Spaniard tries to turn on to his other foot and loses the ball in a vital position!
    • 88' Karadeniz sneaks the ball past Pienaar at the byline and it's only Townsend's intervention that prevents the Turkish player having a free shot at goal.
    • 87' Pienaar drives forward and is pulled back by Ryazantsev, who is booked by the referee.
    • 86' Kane works the space on the edge of the box for a shot but the eventual effort is blocked.
    • 85' Bassong's pass forward to Parrett puts the youngster into trouble, and he has to foul Ryazantsev in the centre circle to avoid yet another Rubin attack.
    • 83' Rubin substitution: Cristian Ansaldi replaces Kasaev.
    • 82' Great through ball from Pienaar into the path of Kane who appears to be tripped over, but no free-kick for the visitors.
    • 81' Another incisive move from Rubin as Valdez feeds Karadeniz out wide and hits the return pass first-time, but it's another fine reaction save from Cudicini! This game would have been over a long time ago were it not for the keeper!
    • 79' Noboa intercepts and surges down the left. He chips the ball in from the byline and Karadeniz's header is saved by the legs of Cudicini!
    • 77' Kane's delivery is poor, hit low and into the pack inside the box. To be fair, he has only just come on, but that is a waste. Parrett is penalised for a foul on Natcho.
    • 76' Valdez puts in a typical striker's challenge and Spurs have a promising free-kick on the left of the area.
    • 75' Tottenham substitution: Harry Kane replaces Pavlyuchenko.
    • 74' Spurs bungle their free-kick routine and rubin pour men forward on the break. The ball is played out right to Karadeniz, but this time the midfielder can't get his cross into the box.
    • 73' Natcho concedes a free-kick for a foul on Pienaar, another who has played well on their first start of the season.
    • 72' That is a blow for Spurs. Gallas must have tweaked something, having been out of action for so long.
    • 71' Tottenham substitution: Dean Parrett replaces Gallas.
    • 69' This match has gone a little flat for the first time. Tottenham beginning to tighten up but neither of their strikers have seen the ball much.
    • 67' Apologies for the switching from 'Natcho' to 'Natkho' in the commentary - different sources give different spellings. Will persist with UEFA's 'Natcho' from now on.
    • 66' Valdez gets himself right in the thick of the action straight away. The Paraguayan, like Rubin, has also been the architect of a win over Barcelona, scoring both goals in a 2-0 win for Hercules at the Camp Nou last September.
    • 65' Rubin substitution: Nelson Valdez replaces Martins.
    • 64' The free-kick is bent in towards the farpost and Bocchetti volleys over the bar!
    • 63' Gokdeniz uses his experience to win a free-kick on the right wing thanks to the exuberance of Townsend.
    • 61' Spurs defend the corner well enough and win a goal kick.
    • 60' Natkho slips a good through ball into the path of Ryazantsev. The Spurs players appeal for offside, the flag stays down and Cudicini is forced into beating away the strike two-handed! corner to Rubin!
    • 58' Some moe desperate defending from Spurs as Gallas gets a timely foot to a cross. Rubin deserve their lead.
    • 56' That lovely, dipping effort from Natkho was his second goal of the competition.
    • 55' GOAL!! Natkho curls his free-kick over the wall and into the net! Cudicini was rooted to the spot!
    • 54' Sloppy from Bassong as he dives in on Ryazantsev on the edge of the box. The defender goes into the referee's book, as does Defoe for dissent. Rubin have a free-kick on a good position.
    • 52' Fredericks goes on a marauding run forward into the Rubin box. He has difficulty picking out a team-mate before Cesar Navas ushers him out of play, but it was a good surge inside from the young full-back.
    • 51' A good, open start to the half, with both teams trying to play their way through midfield. Surely this won't end goalless.
    • 49' Spurs may well be hoping they can get the job done with the 11 on the pitch. Heurelho Gomes aside, 18-year-old Harry Kane is probably the most experienced player on the bench!
    • 47' Tottenham defend the free-kick and the resulting set piece well.
    • 46' Right away Pienaar commits a foul on Karadeniz. Early scare for Spurs as Rubin send in the free-kick.
    • 46' Rubin get the second half underway! No changes from either side at the break.
    • HT Berhe Abraha: GET WELL SOON HARRY!!!!!,I'm from ARSENAL fan!
    • HT Michael Vu: I hope spurs manage to get a draw because I have lots of money riding on this one!
    • HT Vladimir Djuric says on Twitter: Tottenham need to hold on to this point, would be a great result !
    • 45+1' This exciting first half comes to a close, and it remains goalless mainly due to Cudicini's string of saves. Let us know your thoughts on the match so far by posting a comment below or getting in touch on Twitter: @tony_mabert
    • 45' Babak Rafati - the fourth official - signals just one minute of added time to be played.
    • 44' Karadeniz gets a word in the ear from the referee for his foul on Townsend, but nothing more.
    • 42' Defoe plays a decent ball out to the right flank for Falque, who turns back on to his left foot and gives the Rubin defence that crucial extra second to gather themselves before repelling the cross.
    • 40' Defoe stays strong and on his feet inside the box and fires a low ball across the six-yard box... Pavlyuchenko just doesn't react quick enough and the ball flashes past him! The Russian would have had an open goal to tap into there!
    • 38' Martins times his run well and Kasaev floats in a perfectly-weighted ball over the top but the striker glances his diving header wide! He should have at least tested Cudicini from there!
    • 36' A neat, swift counter-attack from Tottenham right from the corner, but Carroll's pinged ball out for Falque is too far ahead of the young Spaniard.
    • 35' Spurs handle the corner well enough but here comes another waves of red shirts. Bassong puts the ball behind for another corner.
    • 34' Cudicini saves from Ryazantsev again, this time from close range but a wide angle. Great reaction stop!
    • 33' Pavlyuchenko knocks the ball past Sharonov and darts for the box, but the Rubin defender cynically blocks him off. The referee had a good view of it, but waves play on.
    • 31' another sweeping Rubin attack and Gallas has to be at full stretch to guide a through ball bound for Ryazantsev back to Cudicini.
    • 29' First Martins and then Bocchetti miscue their attempted volleys inside the Spurs box, but Spurs survive the corner. It's all Rubin at the moment.
    • 28' Natcho fires in from 25 yards and Cudicini makes another fine save! Tipped over the bar again!
    • 27' Rubin send both their big centre-backs up for the corner, but the whistle blows for a foul on Jake Livermore.
    • 26' Great save from Carlo Cudicini! Karadeniz cus back from the byline and Noboa's solid half-volley is tipped over the bar by the Spurs keeper!
    • 24' Ryatsantsev slips a weighted pass into the path of Martins, but Gallas is alert to the danger behind him and intercepts the pass. This is much better from the Russian side now.
    • 23' Karadeniz cuts a low ball back across the edge of the Tottenham box. Kasaev gets to it first and his first touch kicks the ball up before he volleys over the bar! Best chance of the game so far falls to Rubin!
    • 21' Rubin have ridden out that period of sustained pressure and are beginning to see much more of the ball in the Spurs half. They have so far been unable to pick out Obafemi Martins. The striker cannot have had more than half a dozen touches of the ball up to this point.
    • 20' Ryatzantsev fouls Carroll as he tries to win the ball off the youngster. The Rubin midfielder was the man who scored the winner against Barca at the Camp Nou a couple of seasons back.
    • 19' Good running down the flank from Townsend and he gets his cross around his marker, but it is deflected and Rubin do well to prevent the corner and then clear.
    • 18' Pavlyucehnko has the ball at his feet and there is only ont thing on his mind. He fires a well-struck shot from 30 yards out, but it's comfortably wide of Sergei Ryzhikov's goal.
    • 17' Gokdeniz Karadeniz concedes another free-kick, again too far from goal for a shot, but it's symptomatic of the pressure his team is being put under at the moment.
    • 16' Plenty of pressure high up the pitch from Spurs and Pienaar's persistence wins them a free-kick.
    • 14' Andros Townsend's poor clearance is picked up by Alan Kasaev. The winger goes on a mazy run to the edge of the box before he finally tries one jink too many and loses the ball.
    • 13' Jermain Defoe is penalised for being too eager to win the ball from Aleksandr Ryazantsev.
    • 12' Falque looks to latch on to a diagonal ball over the top but Salvatore Bocchetti gets there first.
    • 10' Yago Falque weaves his way forward, uses Steven Pienaar's run as a decoy and goes to shoot from the edge of the box, but his effort is blocked.
    • 9' Carroll keeps dropping deep in search of the ball from the Spurs centre-backs. So many young players with a point to prove for tottenahm this evening.
    • 8' Big shouts for handball as William Gallas slides in to block a cross and it hits his and... Referee Florian Meyer ignores the appeals.
    • 7' Sebastien Bassong commits a foul inside the Spurs half, but Rubin don't make anything of the set piece.
    • 6' Tommy Carroll tries to dribble his way through midfield but it's pretty congested in the centre circle and he loses the ball.
    • 5' Rubin are curently on a five-game unbeaten run in the russian league, winning three of those.
    • 4' Play restarts. Plenty of zip in this wet surface as both sides look eager to play along the deck in these opening minutes.
    • 3' A moron runs on to the pitch and brings an early halt to proceedings. During the break in play Spurs coach Kevin Bond is gesticulating on the touchline while Rubin boss Kurban Berdyev clutches his rosary beads.
    • 2' This is a completely different Spurs XI to that which beat QPR in such style last weekend. Sending out the stiffs has been good enough for Tottenham so far in this competition, though.
    • 1' Spurs kick off and we're underway!
    • 16:58 It's a cool six degrees and raining as the players take to the pitch at the Centralni stadium in Kazan. We are just the obligatory handshakes and referee Florian Meyer's whistle away from getting underway...

    • 16:50 When these two sides met at White Hart Lane a fortnight ago, it was Roman Pavlyuchenko's stunning free-kick that proved the difference. The Russian striker is hopeful of leaving Spurs in January in order to boost his prospects of playing at Euro 2012. Another good performance this evening could help facilitate a move back to his homeland. Pavlyuchenko fires Spurs to win
    • 16:45 Tottenham are currently on an unbeaten run of 11 games. If they can claim a win away then they will secure their place in the last 32 with two games to spare. Defeat for Rubin and a win in Dublin for PAOK would not put them out, but it would set up a potential decider between them and the Greek side on the final matchday of the group. Group A details
    • 16:40 For his part, Spurs assistant Joe Jordan was all business in his pre-match presser. He said: "We have to give them the respect that they've earned over the years. But if we can get points, whether it's one or three, that would be something that would allow us to look at the remaining two group stage games in a way that would enable us to be a bit more adaptable."
    • 16:40 Rubin boss Berdyev had some kind words for Redknapp, but insisted that his absence was unlikely to affect his players. He said: "First of all we hope he (Redknapp) gets well soon. Secondly, all professional players take each and every game seriously regardless of what is going on with their team and their manager. Thirdly, we will be taking the game seriously, regardless of which coach is coming."
    • 16:35 One notable absentee in Tatarstan this evening is Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, who is set to leave hospital this evening after undergoing a successful procedure to unblock two coronary arteries. Redknapp had two stents inserted to unblock the arteries on Wednesday and the club said the 64-year-old would be released within 48 hours. Redknapp set to leave hospital
    • 16:30 The big team news for Rubin is that striker Obafemi Martins is preferred to Nelson Valdez. Nigeria forward did not feature in the weekend's 1-1 draw with Rostov, but starts ahead of the Paraguayan here. Alan Kasaev comes into the team in place of Roman Yeryomenko as manager Kurban Berdyev reshuffles his midfield.
    • 16:25 William Gallas and Steven Pienaar will both make their first Tottenham appearances of the season. Emmanuel Adebayor, Scott Parker, Sandro, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric have been left in London, but Jermain Defoe and Sebastien Bassong have travelled and start. Youngsters Andros Townsend, Jake Livermore, Ryan Fredericks, Yago Falque and Tom Carroll come into the side, but Danny Rose (ankle) and Giovani dos Santos (calf) are out. Tottenham team page
