    • - Thanks for joining me tonight, another fun evening of European football - but this time the Spanish go through. A mini-Clasico final as Los Rojiblancos face Los Leones. I'll be back this weekend for some more live action, until then feel free to drop by on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport
    • 90+3 And that is it! Atletico Madrid are in the final, where they will face Athletic Bilbao! Venga, vamos! The fight is all a distant memory as they shake hands while Atletico celebrate.
    • 90+2 Albelda tries one from a long way out but blocked. Now Costa frees Mathieu, the keeper rushes out and he slides it past him but off the line! I think that was Miranda with the block! No, it was Godin.
    • 90+1 Three minutes added on - surely that was how long the fight was? And there was a serious injury. Odd.
    • 90' Guess what - Fernando Llorente has scored for Athletic Bilbao. All Spanish final it is!
    • 89' Salvio with a mazy dribble but he runs out of space and ends up chipping it into Alves's arms.
    • 88' All very muted at the Mestalla now. At least Valencia can return focus to coming third in La Liga and ensuring they avoid a nasty play-off against a German or English side.
    • 86' Godin was very lucky to escape after clearly leading with the arm on Mathieu.
    • 85' Mathieu goes down on the edge of the box but no foul and Aduriz shunts a defender to the turf and he will be booked. Juanfran is down.
    • 84' Tino Costa with a fierce shot from range but well parried by Courtois!
    • 83' Diego comes off, as he has a bit of a temper and is on a booking.
    • 82' CORRECTION: The booking was NOT for Soldado but for Alba, for play-acting as Tiago didn't hit him. He did hit Soldado, however, hence the red card.
    • 81' Back to the football and Valencia lay camp outside the Atletico box - remember, three goals would do it and they have around 15 minutes including stoppage time!
    • 80' Okay, so Alba went down but it was Soldado Tiago had slapped. He didn't go down, Alba did. Soldado is booked for getting involved and the result is no penalty! The ref overrules his linesman, he saw it correctly! Oh Tiago, you foolish man!
    • 79' Tiago is sent off! He will miss the final! What an idiot!
    • 78' Jordi Alba went down holding his head, I think Tiago gave him what is known as the slap of the female dog. Simeone is on the pitch trying to calm his men down, it's all very silly. Handbags on the Quayside.
    • 77' Well both Tiago and Costa had their arms up - and Tiago is sure Costa handled! I think he did you know. And it's all kicking off, someone's hit the deck claiming a punch...
    • 76' PENALTY VALENCIA! Tiago handled, the ref didn't see it but Valencia clearly did and so did the assistant. He flagged it and it's a penalty.
    • 75' ATLETICO SUB: Salvio on for Turan.
    • 74' Alba a bit late on Juanfran, but his Spain mate gets up quickly and the ref lets it lie.
    • 73' Falcao with a rare chance to run at the Valencia defence but he overdoes it and they clear.
    • 72' Adrian on the left chips a cross over for Falcao, but he shoves a defender and it's a free-kick.
    • 71' Tino has a dig from a long way out but high, wide and handsome.
    • 70' Diego gives the ball away but Soldado, in on the left, looks backwards to Tino, who gives it away. Poor from Soldado.
    • 68' VALENCIA SUB: Tino Costa is on for Parejo.
    • 67' The sting properly taken out of Valencia as Mathieu gives away a free-kick.
    • 66' Unai Emery is widely expected to leave Valencia in the summer, although how either could do any better is beyond me - given their relative lack of resource, third is surely the best they can hope for in La Liga.
    • 64' Diego on a mazy run, super dribbling from him, and he feeds Falcao who can only fire at Alves, who bats it clear! Should have been a second, given the personnel!
    • 63' Valencia look broken now, having done all that good work only to be hit by a hammer blow. Can they pick themselves up?
    • 62' Adrian's 11th Europa League goal of the season. He's been a fine signing from Deportivo.
    • 61' GOAL ATLETICO! And within seconds Adrian hammers in a wonderful half-volley to put Atletico ahead on the night, a double whammy and it's 5-2 on aggregate.
    • 60' Canales is carried off on a stretcher. That is sad, and it could be he last game for Valencia as he is on-loan from Real Madrid. He did his knee at the start of the season too, he'd only just recovered. Mathieu on in his place.
    • 59' Canales is in real trouble - his knee buckled under him as he was tackled. That looks a nasty one.
    • 58' VALENCIA SUB: Aduriz on for Jonas. A more advanced forward. Canales, meanwhile, appears to be injured...
    • 57' Adrian feeds Turan wide left, he dribbles into a cul-de-sac but finds a nice cut-back that is scrambled clear.
    • 56' Valencia are set to make a change, good move as they've not maintained their level since the break. Aduriz is readying himself.
    • 55' Casual defending by Valencia, Parejo with a poor pass and Rami dithering, but a foul by Falcao and it's a Valencia free-kick.
    • 54' Atletico's best spell possession wise now as they peg Valencia back...
    • 53' Valencia on the charge again but no final ball and Atletico get it upfield.
    • 52' Canales with a turn and through ball to release Alba wide left but again Miranda gets across quickly to hack away! He's done well the Brazilian.
    • 51' Taken short and Canales swings in a fine cross but neither Albelda nor Soldado attack it and Courtois can gather.
    • 50' Alba wins a corner off Juanfran. While it's been a quiet opening to the half, it has still been all Valencia.
    • 49' Alba with a throw in that Canales knocks forward, now Feghouli tries a flick but well beyond Soldado.
    • 47' Cagey opening to this second half after the somewhat frantic first.
    • 46' The second half is underway.
    • 46' HALF TIME ATLETICO SUB: Gabi replaces Suarez.
    • - STATS: No possession stats from UEFA but Valencia have had seven attempts to Atletico's two, six corners to zero and 26 attacks to seven.
    • - As ever let me know what you thought of that half - and Valencia's chances - on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport. FOLLOW HERE!
    • - On the stroke of half-time Ibai Gomez scores a second for Athletic Bilbao, meaning they lead Sporting 2-1 on the right, even on aggregate. That sounds like a cracker! Follow that game here!
    • 45+1 Alba with another driving run but his low cross is batted away by keeper Courtois. And that is half-time, goalless on the night but not for want of trying! Atletico lead 4-2 from the first leg.
    • 45' The sting has gone out of Valencia's attacks these past few minutes, possibly on account of the warning shots fired by Atletico. One minute added on.
    • 44' News from the other game - Sporting Lisbon have scored an equaliser on the night to go 3-2 ahead on aggregate. By all accounts Athletic Bilbao have been hammering them too. Follow that game here!
    • 43' So after Valencia pound Atletico for a good 20 minutes or so, Atletico have two chances on the break. Still very much open! Alba crosses again but again Atletico scramble clear.
    • 42' Looking at the replay Alves had got there before any collision between Falcao and Feghouli. And once more he has to rush out as a long ball is missed by the Valencia defence, but Alves gets there before Adrian.
    • 41' Valencia's corner is cleared and Atletico counter! They're in with Turan down the right and he puts in a low ball for Falcao who must score but Feghouli seems to block his route and a fine stop by Alves flying out! Was that a foul? No says the ref!
    • 40' Courtois makes another save as Soldado is sent scuttling through by Alba! Corner.
    • 39' Alba with another good run but his low cross is blocked by Miranda.
    • 38' If Atletico manage to resist this I'll buy them all a virtual pint. Valencia bombarding them now.
    • 37' Courtois is booked for time-wasting! After 36 minutes? You want to save those up for later son.
    • 35' Canales's shot is blocked by a flying Miranda. Corner. Valencia are all over Atletico, can they break the deadlock?
    • 34' Alba nicks it wide to Canales who whips over a superb cross but over Soldado's head! Albelda wins it back, releasing Barragan, and he drills a dangerous ball into the box but hacked away!
    • 33' Jonas with a high foot as he chases down a ball with Miranda. He can't believe it and easy to see why - he withdrew his boot when he saw the defender and did not touch him.
    • 32' JUST WIDE BY SOLDADO! Adventurous reverse header after a superb cross by Barragan, who had been released by Canales.
    • 31' Atletico with their first extended spell of possession for what seems like an eternity.
    • 30' Lovely skill by Alba to backheel it to himself, opening up the midfield, and a fine pass to Feghouli but the low shot is well wide.
    • 29' Miranda was all over Canales there, who could have gone down earlier. The corner comes to nothing as Rami oversteps the mark with the shoving.
    • 28' Canales on a mazy run and he is wrestled off the ball by two or three Atletico defenders. No foul. Now Alba, low cross and hacked behind for a corner.
    • 27' Feghouli on the run, to Jonas wide right but good defending by Filipe to dispossess and clear. The home fans are calling for a foul, which is absurd posturing, it was a standing interception.
    • 26' Free-kick Valencia in the middle of the park as an Atletico attack is quickly terminated. The visitors can't get a foot on the ball at the moment.
    • 25' Great run by Soldado to get on to Jonas's pass, and he has loads of space, pulling it back for Alba but Canales gets in his way! The ball spins behind Alba, who tries to release Canales a second time but the chance has gone and Courtois rushes out.
    • 24' Barragan shoots from range but that is not worth a star - poor effort, easy for Courtois.
    • 23' Barragan crosses in low to SOLDADO SLIDING IN but he pokes it over! Atletico want offside but he was yards on, getting under the bouncing ball as he stretched. Unlucky.
    • 22' Soldado with a long-range shot after a wonderful bakcheel from Feghouli but just over!
    • 21' The corner is sent to the edge of the box FEGHOULI WITH THE VOLLEY DEFLECTED OFF JONAS BUT A BRILLIANT SAVE! And Jonas again but he can only put wide from the angle!
    • 20' More good play from Valencia as Diego is caught napping - Canales with the shot, blocked for a coner.
    • 19' Alba with space on the left but his cross is blocked. Throw.
    • 18' Turan is okay and he's back in play. Meanwhile, Markel Susaeta has put Athletic Bilbao 1-0 up at home to Sporting Lisbon. Away goals lead for them. FOLLOW THAT MATCH HERE!
    • 17' Parejo's cross is blocked behind for a corner. Canales will take as Rami and Costa go up... Half-cleared only to Alba but he mis-hits an attempted crossfield pass out for a throw.
    • 16' Turan is down hurt after a crunching tackle from Albelda, hard but fair in my eyes but probably a 10-match ban in Spain.
    • 15' ... and it's all the way back with keeper Courtois, who goes long and gives it straight to Valencia. Nice run by Barragan but Filipe gets back with a good tackle.
    • 14' Atletico with a decent spell of possession, but the Valencia wide men are closing down danger-man Diego...
    • 13' It was a poor first touch from Canales that took the ball away from Juanfran, ironically - but he definitely caught him! From what I've seen of Canales he is an honest one though, hence his lack of appeal.
    • 12' Jonas on the run, he thinks he's been caught but the ref waves play-on and the chance has gone. Now Canales gets in down the left, into the box and Juanfran slides in but no penalty! Seemed to catch the man and not the ball!
    • 11' A couple of attacks exchanged but both keepers are helped by their defences to claim.
    • 10' Great run by Diego down the right but he overhits the cross out for a throw on the left.
    • 9' Good pace from Alba to keep the ball in down the left, nice cut-back too but Albelda and Canales get in each other's way.
    • 8' Filipe's arm catches Soldado, barely, and the assistant ignores it with Soldado moaning. He held his arm out while protecting the ball.
    • 7' Canales curls it in and Atletico fail to clear, but Courtois claims despite a shove from Rami, who is penalised.
    • 6' Diego with a weak low shot well wide after good play from Tiago - he had Falcao with him, should have passed. Now Godin is a bit late on Soldado, who makes the most of it with the ball long gone. Canales to take.
    • 5' Another poor free-kick, this time from Atletico as Diego swings it out for a goal kick near the corner flag.
    • 4' Tiago with a trip on Jonas but Parejo wastes the free-kick, sending it long and out of play.
    • 3' Suarez catches Canales, leaving the Spanish youngster in a heap. No card, free-kick.
    • 2' Great run from Diego inside from the left, Juanfran getting forward on the right but Alba disposses him.
    • 1' The first half is underway at the Mestalla!
    • 20:03 The teams are out, Valencia to kick off...
    • 20:00 Sadly low on predictions from your guys - so far I just have Valencia 0-2 Atletco from Mesay on the matchcast. Lemme know your predictions ON TWITTER!
    • 19:55 FACTS: These two sides were drawn together in the 2009/10 quarter-finals of this competition. Atletico went through following a 2-2 draw at Valencia and a 0-0 at home. Los Colchoneros have never won an away game against a fellow Spanish side in Europe (P4 D1 L3). Valencia, on the other hand, are unbeaten in four previous European home games against Spanish sides (W3 D1).
    • 19:50 FACT: Radamel Falcao has scored 27 goals in 27 matches in the Europa League. The Colombian striker has scored in each of his last four appearances in the competition, netting five goals in total. For Valencia, Roberto Soldado has hit seven in Europe this season, in addition to six last year. Atletico are top scorers in the competition this season, with 29 goals.
    • 19:45 FACT: Atletico are on a run of 10 straight wins in the Europa League. With their victory over Valencia in the first-leg, the Rojiblancos became the first side in the history of the competition to win 10 in a row in the UEFA Cup/Europa League.

    • 19:35 MATCH ODDS: Valencia 10/11, Atletico Madrid 11/4, Draw 13/5 (William Hill)
    • 19:30 Referee: Damir Skomina (Slovenia)
    • 19:25 DISCIPLINARY: The following players are one booking from suspension for the final - (Valencia): Diego Alves, Jeremy Mathieu, Tino Costa, Adil Rami, Angel Dealbert, Victor Ruiz, David Albelda; (Atletico): Diego Ribas, Joao Miranda, Arda Turan, Luis Perea
    • 19:20 Atletico, meanwhile, are without injured defenders Silvio Azevedo and Antonio Lopez, while midfielder Fran Merida is cup-tied. Eduardo Salvio misses out as Arda Turan, Diego Ribas and Adrian Lopez all start in the attacking midfielder positions supporting Radamel Falcao.
    • 19:20 Valencia make only one change from the 4-0 win over Real Betis at the weekend - keeper Diego Alves replaces Vicente Guaita, as has been the custom in the Cups all season. So that means quartet Tino Costa, Jeremy Mathieu, Aritz Aduriz and Pablo Hernandez all miss out, despite returning from suspension. Ever Banega is still injured.
    • 19:15 Valencia: Diego Alves, Barragan, Rami, Ricardo Costa, Jordi Alba, Albelda, Parejo, Feghouli, Jonas, Canales, Soldado; Subs: Guaita, Maduro, Aduriz, Piatti, Victor Ruiz, Mathieu, Tino Costa /// Atletico Madrid: Courtois, Juanfran, Godin, Miranda, Filipe Luis, Mario Suarez, Tiago, Turan, Adrian, Diego, Falcao; Subs: Sergio Asenjo, Salvio, Gabi, Dominguez, Koke, Perea, Martin
    • 19:10 Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid): "The 4-2 win is not decisive, but it's a result that we all would have taken beforehand. We will go to Valencia knowing it be tough, especially in a hostile atmosphere. We just need more of the same. Obviously this is an important moment for the club, the players and the fans and hopefully we can repeat the same kind of performances we have produced in our last few games."
    • 19:10 Unai Emery (Valencia): "Tomorrow is a really important game, probably our most important of the year, and we have to take that into consideration. Both teams are quite similar but, as it stands, the situation favours Atletico. We are at a disadvantage from the first leg but we are at home and we have to show great spirit, great desire, to turn this around."
